As one of your Patreon I love all of your tutorials and videos. I made trial snowflakes and turned them into book marks. Thanks Harriet. Merry Christmas and looking forward to filling in my advent calendar. 😊
Well! Every day is a school day! I did not know that the compass would divide the circle evenly! Off to dig mine out and experiment! It will simplify my mandala creations so much - thank you.
I used mine as an ‘O’ in ‘Let it snow’ on a Christmas card😊 (I used your metallic baubles as well as the ‘O’ in ‘Ho! Ho! Ho!’) Thank you for the inspiration 😊
Beautiful is all I can say. Well I have begun with a Robin didn't get it good enough so I will keep on trying. It makes so much fun. Thanks a lot. Bye from Yasmin
You break the process down perfectly! At first glance, the snowflakes seem difficult. Your explanation makes the painting seem doable! I am definitely going to rewatch and paint along with you later this evening!
Thanks so much! I worked for a long time to make it look simple! Now I’m obsessed with painting these snowflakes. Thank you so much for buying the book, I really hope you enjoy it x
Hello, I've just seen your channel today. I like your style. It seems simular to mine. Very much looking forward to seeing more from you and learning along the way.
I think this has been my favourite tutorial of yours so far 🥰❄️. There's just something about the colour and design that is so wonderful. I didn't have a compass, but found that wine glasses in varying sizes will do the trick 😉. Thank you!
This is going to take all the nerve I can muster up to try.....so delicate....I have a hard time being so delicate and not shaking but I’m going to give it a go as soon as I finish my last Christmas gift....a mountain scene wall hanging done in a mix of macrame and weaving. I purchased your book and after the new year I’m making it my goal to work through the book. Watercolor and modern calligraphy are my 2021 goals. Thank you for all you offer us on RUclips. I have one Patreon membership but I am considering adding you....I’ll see how the finances look in the new year. Happy Holidays to you.
Thank you so much Kathleen. The best tip I can give to calm nerves is remember to breathe and prepare well: the pencil circles and marked out lines mean you can't go wrong! Enjoy it! Also it's worth saying I painted SO many before I settled on these designs that I was happy with!
These are beautiful! Thanks for the tip on using the compass to accurately mark the 6 points on the circle; I also really like the technique of drawing the color out from the center. I have a feeling these will be a bit of a challenge for me, as controlling the water on my brush when precision is important is still tricky. It's easier to compensate if you get a bit of a blob when you're painting a leaf by making the leaf just a little larger than originally intended, but that option doesn't work as well when all of the little markings need to be more uniform in size and symmetrical!
Yes I think the other things to remember is to blot your brush off on kitchen roll if it feels like there is too much liquid rolling about on the page to control. You can always add more later.
These are great - pity about those with eight points that you show at the beginning instead of the accurate six-point ice crystals that you paint further into the video - all angles in an ice crystal are 60° as I am sure you could see when looking at snowflake photos. ❄️
Superb. I was so taken with this tutorial, I just had to clap at the end.
Oh wow! You’re too kind!
Wow, how impressive, thanks for showing us! I'll make snowflake Christmas cards.
Enjoy!

Beautiful!!!!
Thank you!
Thank you! I learn so much from you and have asked my husband for one of your books for Christmas. :)
You are so welcome! And thank you so much for putting my book on your wish list!
I'm new to watercolor and I love it! Can you reccomend what brushes a newbie should start out with? Thank you for sharing
Hi Melissa. I recommend using the pro arte masterstroke brushes I use in my videos. You can get them here www.etsy.com/uk/shop/deWintonPaperco
Your work is delicately beautiful thankyou! Would it be at all possible to zoom closer from above? Forgive my forwardness for asking🙈
Hi Irma, we have zoomed in quite close on this one for key moments.
Such a useful and inspiring session. Hmmmm. After all those years of maths, I realise the radius is 1/6 of ….
Excellent!

I wanted to show my practice snow flakes too.
Good grief, isn't there always someone in every crowd?
