    One is better than none, right? Here's what I did to germinate the seeds: ruclips.net/video/561vvJ7UfKA/видео.html

    Very fun experimenting, why not! I did the same during the pandemic (2021) just to see if I could. I used cinnamon & left wrapped in fridge a few mos & successfully got a few to sprout & 1 to grow. Last year when leaves fell off I left outdoors but covered the stem with a bag during cold weather & this year in zone 9 it grew new leaves & is 18” tall. I was pleasantly surprised. I buy cherries at the store & even bought a grafted dwarf cherry tree for my patio BUT it was a very fun experiment & I am excited to see the progress on my seedling. Keep on trying & you will get there. ❤️🤞

    Just a helpful tip, if you use ground cinnamon in the papertowel before you wrap the seed, it will help prevent fungi from forming and destroying the seed.

    the paper towel method works fine but I suggest you put some cinnamon on them to prevent mold and bacteria and induce root growth

      Thank you. I plan on doing some experiments with cinnamon in the future.

      @@vesgardens Cinnamon works! About a week ago, I cracked open two peach pits and removed the brown coating on the seeds. One has a root coming out. 🙂

    To make sure the cherry seeds have a chance of sprouting I heard you could put them in a bowl of water if they float they are no good if they sink they have a chance I don’t know if it’s true or not tho.

    • @vesgardens
      @vesgardens  Год назад +3

      That's the float test. From my own personal experience with other seeds, it's inaccurate. I've had seeds that float germinate and grow just fine. Thanks though, Katherine!

    For Pumpkin seeds germinating in just 3 days. Mix the cocopeat with warm water, do not cover the cocopeat, the medium with anything or else will have so much mold, then put Pumpkin seeds in it. If using cold water, nothing happens in a week.
    Magnolia seeds are among the hardest, it takes at least 66 days if put the Magnolia seeds in the soil and put it under hot sun outside while only using rain water trying to speed up its germination process. If try to germinate it indoor, nothing happens for months.

    It's not clear which method gave you the best result...

    • @vesgardens
      @vesgardens  Год назад +2

      I think soaking the seeds in warm water, removing the protective coating and planting them right away gave the best result. Sorry for being unclear!
