"There once was a man who lived a life so strange, it had to be true. Only he could see what no one else can-the darkness inside, the real monster within, and he's the one who must stop them. This is his calling. This is his duty. This is the life of a Grimm."

I realized why Nick's house manages to be fixed so quickly. All the Eisbiber construction firms in Portland owe him a life debt.
Especially bud.
That and they're very good at working fast. 😊
thats why bud is a great guy in a way. for once he found out nick is a good cop/ non murderous grimm we keep him happy we have a guy that would scare the pants off most other wesen
Better to have a Grimm as an ally than a threat.
Experts in wood working
I’ve always found their interactions hilarious, especially when Nick just becomes annoyed at their fear of him. 😂
"Will you stop being petrified of me? I'm not going to hurt you!"
I love the Eisbibers. They're so sweet and affectionate. Also a bit cowardly but that's understandable. I love how quickly they are willing to accept "their" Grimm. i know they're not being purely altruistic but it means so much to Nick that they are willing to trust him and in a sense they've adopted him. We all know he has Wesen friends but the Eisbibers have made him part of their community. He would protect them anyway, they don't need to bribe him but he also knows that this is just the way they are and they are genuinely thankful and happy that he is willing to help them. They don't expect anyone to help them out cause they're just the chatty, gossipy and cowardly Eisbibers. Nick just sees them as people and treats them as normal. I just love their dynamic.
Ice Beavers.
yeah i love how it gets to the point when the troll people became a danger, some eisbibers considered their grimm a weapon to threaten the trolls with
@@ameliakyle7054 yeah. that was a good episode :D
and i love you xoxo
yes, Nick never judged them by their Wessen characteristics. He saw them as people each individually with their owns strengths and weaknesses.
When Nick said “well if you can’t hold your liquor, you shouldn’t be drinking” I laughed my ass off so much I mean seriously that’s such a smartass thing to say XD
Such a cop thing to say, not a Grimm.
@@PredatorFan13 he's off duty at that point and he's talking to a Wesen so the cool points go towards his Grimm side.
I'd SO say that
"I have three kids" 😂😂😂😂 his usual line to defend himself
Worked for Genghis Khan...
Currently,
he has some
16 million descendants...
Apparently,though,
he had A LOT more
than three children!
@@j.griffin Wait what ?

He was a VERY “busy” guy.
@@j.griffin oh God I don't think I want to do do the research
Net User
Well,
I didn’t mean all the gory details...
I just meant that it is real.
There are lots of articles out there that discuss it.
For example:
“One in every 200 men alive today is a relative of Genghis Khan.
An international team of geneticists has made the astonishing discovery that more than 16 million men in central Asia have the same
male Y chromosome
as the great Mongol leader.”
bud came off a bit squirrely but turned into a solid guy and good friend
Bud the Ice Beaver and the rest of the family, great neighbors and very helpful, and after all Nick is a cop first and a Grimm second he takes his job to help protect and serve seriously.
He’s the kind of cop you need these days and Bud and Monroe and Rosalee are the type of friends everyone truly needs.
Nick shows the community that he was a good man and not a heartless killer to be feared.
Even his captain who was the over all villain knew that Nick was a Grimm and a good man and a fine officer.
@@BelmontClan Yeah Nick knew better than any of his ancestors. He knew what was right from his heart
geldan1997 definitely
@@BelmontClan He knew some of the stuff his ancestors did was wrong. It's bad enough they've also killed Wesen who are innocent people. It's very SHAMEFUL
geldan1997 true
In the beginning he came off as very annoying but the further I got into the series, the more I liked him for his funny quirks. Bud is bud and should stay Bud. He's adorable.
Yep! 😊
@Hal Jordan 😆
Magnus Corvinus Albus I love bud, he is amazing
Totally agree... I only regret that the Lodge did not appear more often in later seasons... It was a nice concept the vessen slowlly accepting Nick into their communitty as a kind of a "deffender Grim"
@Hal Jordan 😂 that was so funny !
I love the final scene where they left all the produce and baked goods. Like they are paying tithe to the local Lord, which Nick kinda is Wesen world-wise.
I did, as well, although I think there is more to it.
These Wesen are used to Grimms just attacking and killing Wesen on sight, indiscriminately. Now, they come across a Grimm who isn't all stabby when he recognizes them; he speaks to them, makes requests and asks for favors instead of forcing them to do things, voices his gratitude and respect when they do help, and even puts himself forward as a protector for one of their own.
All that stuff looks more like community gratitude, not tribute. And if it was tribute, then having a Grimm like Nick would be a "lord" any Wesen would be happy to have.
It’s a way of saying thank you for helping them in their time of need to Nick.
I'll never forget seeing that episode and at the end thinking 'Well, he has become the Local Lord! Look at all the homage he's been given!'
@@lotusjewell9984 I have a weird brain and I apologize for that fact.
@@shadowofhawk55You don't have to apologize for that. It's not like you said something offensive. It's okay if your brain is a little weird, makes you interesting.
When Nick says he's proud of Arnold, it is so sweet. Here we have a wesen who is a coward by nature willing to testify against one of their natural enemies and even getting complimented for standing up for his kind by the one thing they all fear the most, a Grimm. The way Nick talked to them, he understood how difficult it was for Arnold and how much they were willing to trust him.
@@ryanhughes1361 They are shown to be rather cowardly by nature no matter the other party. In nature you actually often see prey be rather calm around predators unless they show hunting behavior.
They are portrayed as such in the show in my opinion, they seem to be scared of everything. I do like them a lot, they are one of the more developed wesen in the show.
I wish they'd included the scene where Bud told his buddies and they doubted him. It would've provided continuity for the scene when Nick went to the house to confront them. Also the scene where Bud found Arnold's hiding place. He tells Arnold he should tell Nick what he knows and Arnold, astonished, says "You're on a first name basis with the Grimm?" Hilarious.
Wow for Eisbibers they are really good bakers, carpenters, farmers, quilt and jam makers, and any old fashion hands on jobs type of Wesen.
given, beavers are known for building dams and cosy nests I'm not surprised.
Sounds like my kind of people.
Ice beavers
Wesen Hobbits
imagine an Amish Eisbiber
Bud always kills me 😂😂😂
He’s such a lovable little scamp.
I miss him 🥺
I miss them all. I’ve watched the entire series so many times they are like friends.
-You have a very lovely wife
-Is not my wife
-Even better!
I said something similar to a friend of mine. He laughed because it was funny that I said it that way.
This show was such a hidden gem, Bud and his Eisbiber pals are so funny.
Like Monroe Bud became one Nick's good friends and informants.
The guy that played Bud is a great character actor. It’s not easy to play a character like bud.
He nailed it, for sure. His name is Danny Bruno.
Aw, if Wesen were real, I'd like an Eisbiber as a neighbor :)

I would make a badass Grimm
I would be fine with anything. Anything from this series would be badass

Usually I hate very jumpy whimpy characters but this actor nailed it, he actually made me laugh and like him. I haven't seen the show at all just the clips and wish they had continued, it has great potential.

Bud's magic word whenever he meets Nick: "oh my God,i have three kids."
I was not expecting a blanket from a group of beavers, to be honest. xD
But they sure seem to be a cute bunch who's just curious and extremely easy to scare.
The Refrigerator Man Said, "I don't want any trouble, am a peaceful man." 😂😂😂

Dito.... I watched this series a few years back.... 😆
I've watch this series three times through. I love it.b
I'm having the same feeling
There was so much passion in this series!! Even though the end was rushed, I still felt like the original creators were trying so hard to put their soul into it. I hope they get to redo the last chapter and add more seasons to end it like the masterpiece it was meant to be!
Bud was one of the most lovable characters ever! Even though Eisbiebers tend to not be very courageous, Bud was just amazing and brave and he always made me smile.
Hayden Wolfe they are so non threatening and adorable
@@beatrixthegreat1138 Yes, myself I hate it when a series uses haed lines for every episode block. That kills a show on the long run. If the writers had gone on writing mystical crime mysteries instead of letting run the show towards a fixed aim GRIMM easily could have gone on or could have been reloaded as it was done with STARGATE. But by getting the Devil´s staff it strangulated the show.
Roger Lynch ok

I do love the detail as a peaceful, builder type Wessen, Bud is instinctually afraid of just a picture of the trolls who's name I won't even try to spell!
The show is filled with small details like this that really makes the world seem real, old.

Say what you will about the Eisbibers, but they are some mighty fine craftsmen and home bakers. I mean look how beautiful the spread they left for Nick and Juliet were.
Notice that Bud & Co. are big OSU Beavers fans. Also, notice that they react in the way a prey animal would in the presence of danger. They're probably not exactly at the top of the wesen food chain, and their main defense is not being noticed.
Sounds like beavers

I still want to meet the wife and kids. So bummed that wasn't part of the finale. Hope someday there is a reboot. Kelly and Diana saving Buds twenty grandkids.....
With Juliette's actress being Lois in the Arrowverse now, I can't help but feel like Nick's actor would make a pretty decent Clark Kent.
You know... now that you mention it, he really would.
You know he audition to play clark in man of steel but lost to henry and he is also her real life husband
Chris Cross David is VERY handsome!
I've always thought that David and Brandon looked alike
Especially since he doesn't look tough. He looked more intimidating in Teen Wolf, and the facial hair helped with that too.
Two things I’ve never been able to get over:
1. Bud only appears in 25 (of 123) episodes.
2. In the final episode where everyone comes together happy they are all still alive having defeated Zestorer, at Monroes house... Bud is left out. Nowhere to be seen.
3:11 "breath come on breath" this line kills me 😂😂😂😂😂
"breathe"
These types of Wesen crack me up... they r really humble n funny... I love em😂💙💜🔥
I really miss these early days of Nick and Juliette. Was absolutely furious when Nick and Adalind ended up together but being such a massive fan of the show, i kept watching it anyway.
I don’t even want to watch the later half of the show because of that whole development.
I can easily understand the outrage the people who liked them must have felt when that whole thing happened.
In that sense I was lucky, because for some reason I never really liked Juliette. And grew to like Adalind very quickly. x'D
They really messed up Juliet's character.
right? made her evil and everything....but this is Grimm and happily ever afters aren't really a thing
But if they hadn't we wouldn't have had Eve. And I like Eve. :)

The one thing I disliked about the series finale is how Bud was left out. 🤷♂️🤷♂️
I think Bud played a major role in the series. Could have used him more of course!

I loved Grimm! One of the best series where you are not disappointed by loose story, bad acting or bad direction, everything about Grimm was awesome. I hope they reboot.
These clips convinced me to rewatch this amazing show.
After watching couple of these grimm clips I actually started the whole series again. Anyone else like me?
David Giuntoli would have made it perfect Bruce Wayne instead of Robert Pattinson or he can take Ben Affleck's place if they decided make another Justice League movie. He has that dark brooding aura about him.
I always thought he’d be a great superman.
I think he'd do a good job as Punisher too.
I loved Bud bless him
I always think Hufflepuff when I think of Bud and his army of Eisbibers.
I love when they get suprised
Terre Haute. It shocks me when I hear my home town on tv shows. You would be surprised how many times it happens! Loved this show.
The very last scene always makes me think of "To Kill a Mockingbird." The morning after the trial, in spite of having Atticus having lost, Calpurnia arrives at the Finch house to find food gifts piled up all around the back porch. It was a thank you from the black community for his efforts to get Tom Robinson acquitted.
Ahh you brought back memories. 😂I read this in school, fifth grade I think.
I love the end clip with all the gifts, you KNOW the story of him killing 2 Reapers in a 1 v 2 got around and likely was embellished but he dealt with the troll problem, is kind to them and is skilled enough to kill two professional Grimm Slayers by himself they wanna make sure not only does he know they are grateful but wanna stay on his good side
This time period of Juliette is so gorgeous and beautiful (sorry my focus is totally off 🤣)
Bud’s: “I have three kids.” Is such a golden quote from him😂😂😂
The ending scene is so funny🤣🤣🤣
Why haven’t I seen Nick in any more TV shows or movies? He’s ridiculously handsome♥️, and he can act.
David Giuntoli has been on "A Million little Things" on ABC for 5 seasons
He co-star with James Roday from Psych 🍍. Also David isn't titled as Alphaman by co-stars for no reason.
I wonder what the tradition behind him carving numbers into the wood is about. I'm guessing it's an Eisbeiber thing, just not that fleshed out.
I love grim specially monroe i watch this whole seasons and finished them all till the end
*It almost seems like a weird kind of Stockholm syndrome. "Thanks for not killing us, here is a nice homemade blanket. Lol*
I saw it as more a sense of relief. The murderous bogeyman you've been warned about for generations turns out to be a regular guy who just wants to be left alone.
I love that they're Corvallis fans!
The segment with the Trolls got me thinking. Bud's idea to carve some numbers might actually explain the "friendly animals" seen in a lot of the Grimm tales.
Bud is one of my favourite characters on Grimm, he turned out to be a great guy and a friend
