  • How we built a backlit arched wall in front of a ribbed/fluted panel wall to make the world’s coolest accent wall!
Sure, accent walls are cool- but you know what’s REALLY cool? Two accent walls in one! When we set out to build the greatest accent wall the world had ever seen, we enlisted some help from our friends at ‪@RONAinc‬ for the tools and materials we knew we would need. From the lumber, to the nailers, panels, and even paint, Rona Plus is a one stop shop for everything you need (in store and online).
The plan was to have a wall of ribbed tongue and groove MDF panels in the back, and a wall with an arched opening/archway in front. Then to give it some depth, we decided light up the space between the walls with some ‪@GOVEE‬ strip lights (mounted to a ‪@trimtex‬ vinyl archway bead). Sound complicated? It was! But when it was all said and done, we think it was totally worth it!

-We used Dap’s Fast Dry Spackling, but you can use wood filler, spackling, drywall compound, really whatever you’d like.
      - Sand with a sanding sponge or anything you want.
      - We used a gallon of Sico Paint in a pearl finish
