Pate I was out today. It was 48 degrees but sunny and the coupe was ready to roll. Top off, heaters on. No seat heat. Mr and Mrs had a great day in the country.
Its a cool 3wheeler also. I just like the slingshots more for some reason. Although you see more slingshots in the shop compared to vanderhall. Those vanderhalls are tight on space. The slingshot is more spacious.
@@c8pate744 I agree with your characterization that the Slingshot is a more of a convertible car than a trike and that is true for the Vanderhall in my opinion.
the largest issue I have with the slingshot is getting in and out of it. if your young it's no issue, but as you age it gets harder to "put on" your vehicle. the ryker is very easy to hop onto. I love my 22 ryker rally its a fun toy. I try to ride it often. it makes a quick trip to the grocery store fun. the slingshot I would take 5 minutes to get in and out of, I tried it at the dealership, I'm just not as young and capable as I once was
Hey I love your enthusiasm! I have all three, all mint condition all of them black. It is an endless hobby and I love it. 2018 Slingshot, bought new, 2019 Ryker Rally, bought new, 2016 Spyder RSS 5 speed manual, bought in 2019 only 1200 miles on it.
I have another question maybe you can answer. I’m not a motorcycle rider but I have grown up riding Atv three wheelers and four wheelers. I’ve been riding atvs since the Honda came out with the Big Red three wheeler in the early 80s. I’m just now thinking I might want of these type of three wheel bikes you had in this video for the street. My question is do you know anyone that has changed the throttle control from being the twist handle style you see on every motorcycle to the push thumb style you find on a Atv and what would be the safety issue with doing that? To me it seems like it wouldn’t be as easy to accidentally accelerate the bike with a Atv style push thumb style throttle control compared to the handle grip style if I were in the process of loosing control of the bike but maybe that’s just because it’s what I’m used to using.
I just purchased the SL Slingshot added paddle shifters and I'm finding it a ton of fun 🎉 the color is Midnight Blue with a deep metal flake , very happy with my purchase 😊
Thanks, nice video. I had a 2019 Ryker 900 ACE but it didn't give me the level of ride I was looking for so I traded it in on a 2018 Spyder RT Limited. As expected, the difference between the two is day and night so it would be pretty unfair of me to try to compare the two. They are two totally difference machines offering two totally different rides.
@@c8pate744 There are a couple of things I like about the Spyder. Storage: I like being able to ride to the store and do some grocery shopping. Granted it won’t hold a shopping cart full of groceries, but it will handle the essentials, without the need for wearing a backpack. The Spyder has enough storage to easily hold my modular helmet and riding jacket while I’m in the store so I don’t have to drag half my gear around with me. Plus it can hold the essential tools that should be part of any ride to handle minor repairs. Handling: At sixty nine years of age, I really enjoy the Dynamic Power Steering of the Spyder. I don’t have to muscle through the twisties. The ride is also incredibly smooth. Another big plus for me was the actual cruise control. I had installed an Atlas Throttle Lock on my Ryker and it worked well enough, but not near as well as the Spyders. The audio kind of sucks, but I listen to my music through my Bluetooth headset, so it’s not a big deal for me. Riding Position: I find that sitting a little higher up and being on a larger machine adds to my visibility to other drivers, and I think it enhances my safety. But I never lose sight of the safety riding tip “Ride like you’re invisible.” But my biggest, most important reason for upgrading from the Ryker to the Spyder was my Sweetie. I had a lot of great adventures on my Ryker, we went all over hells back acre together, putting a little over 12,000 miles the first year. But I wanted to share those adventures with my wife. However, there was no way she was ever going to get on the back of a Ryker. She just did not feel comfortable or safe. Now we ride together quiet a lot, and are having a great time.
Great info. I love this. I needed it to decide. I'm a lady about 165lbs and I was wondering if I could away with the Ryker 600, but I guess it's better go with the 900 🤷
I put a deposit down on the 2022 rally I haven’t seen it in person yet …. But my advice to everyone is it’s probably safer to switch out the sway bar before they start building the bike straight out the crate mabe……this would be good for content
I came from Harley's (and years of metrics) to a Can Am F3 Limited. I'd like to have a Ryker for the local fun factor but not for touring. Plus I'm old and that Ryker is really low to the ground (remember the "I've fallen and I can't get up commercials"? lol). The Slingshot really a sports car in my opinion. I know many states recognize them as motorcycles and my state makes you wear a helmet with them. Good video man.
I hear you about the ryker. Took a four hour ride out of town on one and had a blast the first 1 hour or so but a more touring bike would have really made it a more comfortable ride. Thanks for the watch and comment brother. Hope you subscribed and stay tuned in.
Bro , few sexiest remarks, the 600 isn’t just for the ladies , some of us are on budgets and can’t afford the bigger bike due to the price of the much needed accs , the Back harness is called the max mount and as far as all the music and the lights led , buy a car . Keep the Ryker bare , it’s how the factory designed it or buy a Spyder . Your pricing and everything is American based , which straight away , you forget we are a international group of Ryker riders . Base your videos on world not just USA and your subscriptions will rise
Okay you are right about the 600 part. I didnt really think about your view point on it. I respect and agree with a lot of your view points. Thank you for watching and giving solid comments about my video. You stayed to the points in the video and didn't attack with name calling or other personal garbage. I appreciate that
I just brought the 2022 Ryker Rally
What state do you live in? Have you had a chance to ride it? How do you like it so far?
And have you ever owned a riker before the 2022?
I have a 2019 ryker
I got the 2022 Ryker 900 sport coming in March.
