- Hi welcome to my short video of some of my Petter engine collection, over the last three years I’ve been cutting down and selling some of my engines in our collection, I actually had 25 engines and because I am not getting any better health wise I decided to sell most of them and just keep a few that are very special to me including ones that have been given to me as presents from my family etc , so I now have just 7 of them and that’s more than enough to keep me happy especially as it will be only very occasionally that I’ll get to run them etc perhaps in the garden etc depending on how I feel , I have reinvested the sale of my engines into my other hobby of modelling scale models and partworks and I have some fabulous ideas for the future of making some model dioramas including one that will include a 1/32 scale Lancaster bomber in a coffee table and a really interesting diorama with the 1/24 scale Bedford wagons , I have a couple of 1/12 scale models to complete too , I would like to exhibit some of them a some local shows too but again also depends on my health etc .
Nice to see part of the collection Dave - all interesting rare ones of course. Hope you get to play with them a bit this year - there's nothing more relaxing than the sound of a Petter chugging away in the background.
Hi can I surges you don't use emery paper to clean the rust of the flywheels as this can wear the flywheel away! and upset the ballance of the flywheel Instead use an oily rag instead
I had an AP I though it was special then people kept posting theirs on fb groups😅,.
It's on my channel from 5 years ago if you want to see😎
Hi EngineVids yeah there’s a few that’s popped out of the woodwork recently , this AP was the first one according to the late Jim Perkins but not the first A type .
@@DSMODELS I had a Villiers which was 3rd oldest (which was a lie) turned out it was like the 7th oldest😅🤣🤣 it really disappointed me that one. Sold them off ages ago but I do still have stationarys though, also I love your routemaster vids☺😎
@@EngineVids I’ve just subscribed to your channel , you may know my son Lee he has lots of Listers H to R range , ,,thank you yeah the models are taking preference over my engines I have 7 Petters I did have 25 but by the time I’d got around to restoring them all I’d be 150 lol so decided to thin them out a bit plus the fact am not well enough to chew about with them now .
@@DSMODELS oh wow thanks😎☺ im already subscribed to you as i was following your recent model videos, i talked to lee once about a big lister engine (cant remember what it was though aha😅) im a volunteer at a engine museum and there are big listers there that ive ran
