A 2019 meta-analysis found that 34% of people with cannabis-induced psychosis transitioned to schizophrenia. This was found to be comparatively higher than hallucinogens (26%) and amphetamines (22%). A February 2019 systematic review and meta-analysis found that cannabis consumption during adolescence was associated with an increased risk of developing depression and suicidal behavior later in life. In the United States, 10-20% of those who begin the use of cannabis daily will later become dependent. Cannabis intoxication was not only found to affect attention, psychomotor task ability, and short-term memory. It was also found that intoxicated users were facing the difficulty of having false memories. Male cannabis use has been associated with reduced fertility and decreased sperm counts. Initial epigenetic studies have shown that male cannabis use causes widespread DNA methylation changes in sperm, resulting in lower rates of fertilization and higher rates of miscarriage. Sperm DNA methylation alterations from cannabis extract exposure are evident in the offspring of rats.

ehhh I feel like your one-sentence summary of the paper on cannabis you linked was a little misleading. epigenetic changes are not mutations (of the DNA), they're just changing how/the frequency at which our genes are expressed. Also, little was done to see what these epigenetic changes actually did, like, consequences-wise? Proving a change in gene expression doesn't mean much. Tons of things change your epigenetic markers. More research needs to be done to prove that the changes are detrimental/positive/inconsequential. Considering it was published in 2017, there's a good chance there's more recent research available at this point, though I'm far too burned out to look for it myself. Thank you for the recommendation though it was a pretty nice read. Most papers aren't written, style wise, that comprehensively. It was nice to see a paper that didn't feel the need to use big, overcomplicated jargon to get to it's point. not sure I agree with the findings since they pulled on so many papers that I simply don't have the time to check the methodology of, but an interesting read that piqued my curiosity for sure

17:55 even the paper you cited doesn't actually confirm this, only recommends it for further study. Don't say things that only *might maybe* be true as if they were *absolutely* true, even if it's not as dishonest as a total lie it's still misinformation.
Thank goodness you included this very nice MS Paint illustration. It _was_ getting quite complicated, and this made it _so_ much easier to follow along! 😄
update: read the article.. have you read it? they can only make vague claims about the effects it has on humans(other than that of schizophrenic people), and the only significant claims involving animal testing involves infertility, and not complete infertility, but just the lower likelihood of it. in rats. not to mention most of the newer generation doesn't really care about that. EDIT: ironically wrote this while high and seemingly misunderstood the article and made a non-point. ignore me.
@zekerdeath Why are you so defensive of weed? The person in the video made his claim that he doesnt like weed, but you can't fault the article for your lack of reading skills. It says that it changes the epigenome of the subjects and details on what changes happened and the markers that are significant. At most, it claims that those subject markers are good leads for multigenerational research on cannabis and other experiments. Other than that, they did not claim anything that wasn't already present in existing research. The article was peer reviewed and published in a scientific journal and used 78 sources that you can check at the bottom of the webpage (You obviously didn't. The infertility study was done on 221 women who did IVF. Not rats. See source 77) Its just modifications. Thats it. Weed changes you on a molecular level. Why deny the science when its right in front of you?
So you're saying this cannot be completed but the GoG (garden of grind) ruleset makes it s.t. you can complete the Stargate in this mode :) Some people have gotten quite far already but I don't know whether anyone has finished it...

A little silly to put a link in the video but not the description. Anyway i tried looking into it and it seems there was a recent meta study on several other sources that looked at the idea of the green smell plant to cause genetic changes which found that it does like tobacco which should not be so suprising. The same is true for...every other drug humans have abused during our long history including alcohol. In those sources one from london (Baer, Adela S. 1977 The genetic perspective, sadly they websites i found the book on didnt let me look at it) also has found no links at all with genetic changes which i found suprising since during that time psychiatric practitioners were trying to classify a sickness related to the drug which some nowadays call outright racist since they were just trying to tie broad ideas like how it was attempted with masturbation. While i was digging on one website i even found a one liner mentioning that the sources might have been cherry picked to create a specific result from somebody in the NHS but the link to that statement was already dead. Reason why i was interested was that only people i know who think its harmless were people who are liberal minded and were at most occasional users compared to long term users i got to know who said it definetly made them stupid over time, so having some real info like this might be great...but then it just turns out to be same advice all mothers get where they should wait a full year of using no drugs before trying to have kids. Was that link to a study serious fear or just for laughs goose? I guess the trigger for my curiosity was really a fear of misinformation
Oh also on the water, there was a mod that made water finite including generating rivers and such during the time of IC2 i believe that sparked a bit more imagination. Railcraft actually updated to support this mod if i remember correctly. While the boilers from railcraft were always water hungry in this scenario having to deal with it took a bit more creativity and i guess greg just kinda liked that idea of making players do more things since its present in all of their designs within greg tech and IC. On the grass if i remember correctly from IC2 the grass spreading was supposed to break the fields around it further punishing the player but im giving that only like a good 10% chance of me remembering it correctly since its been years now looking at minecraft forums for mods and pulling out the meta-inf from minecraft to get the mods to work.

I got recommended the first video in this series, and It's awesome! You've got a great voice and I love your editing style!
god, im glad i found this series. binging it all rn for sure.
The most entertaining video of literally just dirt
17:44 this is the funniest thing
Looked up the article. It's a review of other studies and the study that the joke specifically references is based on tests in rats in the 60's
I absolutely love these kinds of videos, and your voice and cadence are very soothing. Great for watching as I doze for a nap, then rewinding and watching again when Im awake lol
I'm binging you're series tonight, you showed the tinker's construct gameplay twice in this vid lol. Love the series 🙏🏼
18:54 you’re telling me kudzu isn’t already angry?
Best Minecraft series currently
interesting that you decided to take a stance against weed of all things
update: read the article.. have you read it? they can only make vague claims about the effects it has on humans(other than that of schizophrenic people), and the only significant claims involving animal testing involves infertility, and not complete infertility, but just the lower likelihood of it. in rats. not to mention most of the newer generation doesn't really care about that.
EDIT: ironically wrote this while high and seemingly misunderstood the article and made a non-point. ignore me.
I don't think he's being genuinely anti weed, just in a tongue ans cheek kinda way
@@amp4105 yeah maybe
@@amp4105idk that sounds like projection. I'm loving this series but sometimes people can just ha e shitty takes
Not rats. See source 77)
Its just modifications. Thats it. Weed changes you on a molecular level. Why deny the science when its right in front of you?
For this being your 1st series, this is soooo f ing good
that dispenser storage is awesome haha
10:05 As someone who made a bee-centric modpack (Mendel's Bees), this attitude hurts me deep inside :
Best Sunday scaries binge ever
I am still loving the series. I am excited to see how far the run can go.
i loved when u puled out t ms paint XD
damn this looks like a realy tough chalange i would not be albe to get thru the boring grave dirt phase
8:32 why did the creeper not agro to your right?
So you're saying this cannot be completed but the GoG (garden of grind) ruleset makes it s.t. you can complete the Stargate in this mode :)
Some people have gotten quite far already but I don't know whether anyone has finished it...
Bees, golly.
I love the tree-trading paint plan, especially with your dry wit.
ok, this is exceptionally interesting, will be watching the full series!
This series is one of my favorites at this point!
"These are normally a punishment that you get if you don't pay your attention tax on time." is such a funny phrase
cool video :3
I want to see this whole series in a Timelapse from a Birds Eye view. It would be very entertaining to just see you speeding around jumping off the side and calmly walking around trying to figure stuff out. Btw, just found your channel and I’m really enjoying this series so far. I’m obviously a few months behind but I’ll try to catch up lol. Best of luck on the RUclips career, you’ve got at least one more fan out of me (I’ve also shared this in my discord server with like 10 friends so maybe you’ll get another.) 💛💛💛
Im so glad I came across the first video, this series is so interesting
I'm gonna start using "common lootbag" as an insult now
A little silly to put a link in the video but not the description.
On the grass if i remember correctly from IC2 the grass spreading was supposed to break the fields around it further punishing the player but im giving that only like a good 10% chance of me remembering it correctly since its been years now looking at minecraft forums for mods and pulling out the meta-inf from minecraft to get the mods to work.
looks like u blew up around 2 weeks ago
also looks like there's more blowing up to follow
also looks like u deserve it
also looks like u gained a sub! :D
this series is amazing! i love your editing style :)
Excited to watch the rest of this series!
14:57 you can also skip the mortar and pestle by smelting saplings into ash to then craft into more bone meal per bone
not sure why you'd do this with a working mob farm and not being at any risk of running low on bones for bone meal but you could
Continues to be madness, im very much enjoying it
i really love this series, but why kill the witch?, it clearly was hard to get, why not save it for the next zombie villager? or was it just better to kill and get some loot rather then it despawning?
17:50 Dang i dont remember last time someone just threw at me so interesting scientific research, that was good read. Thanks!
This series is interesting, glad i came across it :>
I'm a big fan of the commentary! I love the research section at the end.
the secret not secret special research at the end was so funny to me
As someone who never seriously completed a modpack, i appreciate the explanations at the end :)
Crazy amount of grinding. God speed, and good spawns soldier o7
where did you obtain the vanilla oak saplings you were planting at around the 20 minute mark?
I believe he mentioned buying them from the rewards shop.
@@JamesStansell yeah I had paused the video before he explained his run. I had assumed he was doing gog rules.
The congo-line mob-farm was an interesting result from all the previous farms and flaws that they had. It's a pretty good development, compared to 'a dirt lot'
19:41 every kitchen sink modpack, ever, described briefly.
