- Moog reveals his new track weapon to Marty and explains all of its features that Marty will be able to enjoy once it beats the turd around the track. If Moog wins, the Turd will be crushed. If Marty wins, Moog will become the proud owner of yet another car that he may not have bought himself in ordinary circumstances...
Keep your eye out for the final race which will be out next week on the 16th of August.
Until then you can discuss the battle, and the new car here on the MCM Forum: forums.mightyca...

do anyone else agree that moog's intro in the holden was pretty awesome XD
Troncexoxox like the way he entered the lot and the way the music was edited in this scene is perfect XD
Na he is just a fucking skeg lol
Imitation ACDC just boils my piss.
"this is a v8, twice as many cylinders as necessary" lol
Martin Gallego el turbo
"Do you know what you get if you cross an eel with a dog? ... I don't either, but it's f*cking scary and you don't want that sh*t in your toilet" xD
Moog went full bogan haha, nice to show some Holden's for overseas viewers
Most accurate depiction of a Holden driver ever.
Holden driver that has a chevy badge*
When he gets out of the car, OMFG! I choked on my dinner.
As soon as I saw Moog step out I started laughing my fucking ass off.
an opel omega V8 vs a turd, neat
It's a VN Holden Commodore
Musclecarlover7 otherwise knows as a re branded Opel , but i thought it was an omega , not a commodore , interesting
It's actually an Opel Senator design if I remember correctly, but with modifications here and there, so instead of a blank canvas, the Senator was the canvas and they went from there
Musclecarlover7 yeah senator sounds plausible, the commodore wasnt a thing in the late 80´s mid 90´s , it became the omega
To us, the Commodore was a downsize from our tanks due to the oil crisis of the late 70s, Always started off Senator based from the VB in '78, then again for the VN in '88. Both times started with the design of a Senator, then altered for Australian use
This was before Holden started using LS motors. It is an Australian designed and built 304 Cu Injected V8. These were used in commodores before 1998 when the LS1 first made its widespread appearance in the VT commodore range.
I like that you're having a bit of fun. I think that's the best response to the pressure you get from jerks to produce. Enjoy yourselves and your real fans will too.
I love there version of "Back in Black"
THEIR*!
THERE - Placement
Their -ownership, belonging to a set of people.
I don't understand anything! Fuck the police; born an idiot with grammatical comprehension!
Wish they wouldn't beep the swearing :(
They censor it quit crying
No you don't say your smart
3 years late... but it's probably to do with monetisation - sometimes youtubers have their youtube paycheck cut for accidentally having their video slip into a category that's not 'family friendly' for lack of a better expression - when your primary income is your channel you gotta be careful
"It's auto, but it goes hard" Jahahaha
The VN was the Berlina, older models where callled Commodore Berlina but the VN was just called the Holden Berlina. The VN came with either a Buick 3.8L V6 or a 221hp multiport injected 5L V8 shoved in it, both of which where decent motors, the v6 was torquey & economical, but the VN's suspension left something to be desired. However the ford falcons of the era were plagued by quality issues so they still sold well. So yes it was a VN Commodore, but it was called a Holden Berlina on the badge.
You guys keep getting better and better, Just wish the epsiodes weren't so far apart. Keep it up :)
"You don't understand how things work mate, this is Australia and V8s is what rules." Why has no one built a highway between USA and AU yet?...
marty will have to grow a mullet & start wearing flannies & ugg boots now & possibly move to queensland if the blue turd loses :(
Spoilers: it beat that VN. But, there was a wild card.
yeah who would have thought that, but if it was a straight line drag race blue turd would have been chopped :)
Does Marty have any mods on the turd, or is it bone stock?
As far as i know he put a k3-ve 1.3L engine in it from a sirion and probably some other mods but i don't know what.
JxC why not go and watch some of their older videos? your answer lies within. :D
Siggy Cloud
I couldn't find any vids of it, that's why i asked.
Siggy Cloud oh hey look, another furry, pretty common nowadays in YT comment sections :P
The VN (moogs car in video) was an 1977 senator floor-pan with a slightly modified (longer and tapered in the nose) version of a 1987 body stretched over it. Still had bad older style suspension underneath it all too, resulting in poor grip. Good for burnouts bad for safety, economy or actually driving the car...
rewatching the mx5 build and got a notification for this whoo! Can't get enough of MCM
vauxhall vectra looooool
?
Loony
that is the UK equivalent to the Aussie Vauxhall they made over there.
Jaku Ep There is no vectra in this video though
yeah i know. it looks like one.
Jaku Ep It's nothing like a fucking Vectra. Vectra's are pieces of shit.
OMG that's a Chevy Corsica in the US. Total shit car.
It looks similar but it isnt a corsica
Chris Bradford what car is it then?
Joshua Holden Commodore/ Berlina.
Joshua Holden VN Commodore
Don't talk trash about the Corsica. the Corsica is begging to be turned into a track car. In the right hands it could take on any challenge.
Quite actually, I think you guys should keep doing exactly what you've been doing. Enjoy yourselves making videos about whatever you want, and I'll keep watching.
Thanks for putting out episode more regularly!
I'm very excited for this race, here in America that car is a Chevrolet Caprice, not the best handling car on the road but it'll scoot out of it's own way on the straights
Could be close actually, the Holden may have power, but IT IS A BOAT. That's there The Blue Turd has it's advantage. Its lighter, and can keep on the throttle longer, where the Holden has to lift off at times to keep traction around the corners.
I do agree but, I think everyone should still have their favourite engine.
Seriously. Although a few of us Americans do know about the Commodore and were lucky enough to drive a Pontiac G8 (the best car with a Pontiac badge since the early 70's) or even the GTO (a rebadged Monaro). We still get the Commodore here but they rebadge it as a Chevrolet SS. Much respect to you Aussies!
The Turd is a legend, it should never be replaced, or crushed in this case!
That car was never ever sold here in the US. The successor to that car was sold in the US first as the Cattera then at the GTO, the successor to THAT car was then sold as the G8 and a version lifted from the middle eastern market is sold at the new Caprice but is only available to police stations as patrol persuit cars.
hurry up with the new video guys....just cant wait any longer to see the race!!
I love his impression of an American. As an American, it was highly accurate.
power is only half the story and the blueturd proves it, that and the paint is why i love it!
Ha! Those things were called Vauxhall Carltons in Britain - they never ever had 5000cc V8's in them though, mostly 2000cc four pots and the if you were lucky a 2600cc 6 cylinder.
The nearest version we had with a big motor was the Lotus Cartlon which is a bit of a legend here in old blighty.........
I for one am glad that you've picked this particular car - I think it's a bit ridiculous that people bag out certain types of cars when they claim to be car enthusiasts. I will admit they're a bit of a boat, nothing a bit of suspension work can' fix - just like the turbo cars that these guys usually feature that need power upgrades and boost. The VN's got a bulletproof motor and only weighs about 1500kg, it'll decimate that Turd. I can't wait for the day when you feature an XR6 Turbo.
waking up every morning thinking theres going to be a new episode
they don't get much money at all. they have said before in other videos that this is their hobby. they have to film, edit, and make music all on their own time. they have day jobs so they can't just spend a couple days filming then edit the clips the next day. why are some MCM fans so ignorant about this. just be happy they continue making videos for us
I live in Canada, and it is extremely hard to find a Chevy that hasn't fallen apart. It does not matter how many cylinders your car has if the transmission has fallen out.
Maybe one day soon, we will see good cars and actual mods on the show again... PLEASE bring back the old MCM!
The 5ltr V8 in this car was an Australian engine, only found in Holdens.
why thankyou, done a few small mods but kept it standard, could make a video on it
if you interested, slightly bigger colourcoded spoiler, chrome interior door handles, currently colour coded wing mirrors decent poioneer stereo hooked up to steering wheel controls, couple of stickers, got some ph2 lights but yet to fit plus some maintance and part repacement but just listed visual things, also got a 106 ive done abit to and a astra sri which i havnt done as much to,
back in this model you could get any version with any engine it was all up to your choice but yeah the base berlina was a v6
In the States, it was the '89-'92 Chevy Caprice
Exactly, thats why we are asking to see.
Oh no, I understand... We have those here too! I like to hear my engine, but I also like to hear myself think. :)
it seems that its the opposite actually, holden started making these commodores in 1988, the impala wasn't around between 1985 to 1993/4 and the caprice in question wasn't released until 1990. so if anything the impala/caprice is based off the commodore.
im addicted to these little race series you guys have. very funny, hope the turd wins but would be so funny to see the v8 smash it!
Cute little 305 there. Its suprising what passes as a decent engine to some people
Saw a Cuore in Geelong the other day. Same colour, dark tint and aftermarket rims. Got me thinking
usually having more pistons, while only a small jump in displacement means higher tolerances (more rpm) and better revving engines (pistons: shorter stroke, less distance needed to travel; bore, lighter pistons) A good example is the LFA engine by yamaha... its like a supersport bike engine, v10 and only 4.8 liters. Compare that to a hemi v8 6.0 liters and up.... they only rev to like 5k rpm...
you guys are the best i always look forward to new videos!
Nothing says you've made poor life choices then a VN commodore in the driveway....🤣😂
Nailed it on the bogan skit...😂🤣
Aw just put the next episode up I can't wait seven days
I can't help but feel apart of this vid after my last comment about my stupid comment about the Nissan not being a Nissan ! Hahaha you legends Marty and moog cannot wait for the race ! :D
Yeah, but in the UK - you have higher insurance and more taxes on wrecking cars which forces the prices of the used car market down. So while a car might be less than 2k, that isn't necessarily reflective of how much the car is to keep on the road.
A headliner episode?! THANK YOU! i need that, but v8s are fun -01 Oldsmobile Aurora 4.0
Love the American stereo type Moog with the littering and the bad clothes lmao when you stepped out of the car and littered. I thought about how sad it makes me to be American.
it resemblance the opel senator i think its the same platform and the senator is monster :D ! but there were no v8 in them, strongest was 3.0 24v (205hp) and 4.0 irmcher all in line! Great show :D!
!
Any time now!
It's a vn commodore, they didn't have a inline 6, that finished with the vl. VN on had a 3.8v6 or a 5.0 v8
I had the base V6 poverty spec of that when I was on my L plates, brings back memories...
I'm a huge fan. Always wanted to see you guys supercharge or turbo charge a Honda fit.
Thank you for the confirmation.
I was just about to say that we've had quite a few episodes recently. We went a while without an upload. Been following them from the beginning :D Gotta love them though
In the UK that car is a Vauxhall Cavalier.
Yes it's taken 5 years but finally a commodore has graced the mighty car mods :D
Now to think just the engine in that commodore is worth twice as much as he paid for the car, and the car itself close to 10 grand 🤯
Love how they changed Blair (aka Moog) to Blaaaaaaaar 1:04
I can kind of see the VN winning. Purely because it gets them a lot more videos to make.
Replacing headlining, changing seat fabrics, lowering, panels & paint. heaps more episodes since buying a 'shitbox' car.
Cant wait.
a week has gone by you know what that means new episode
VN was released in 1988 in Australia. Your Lumina might share some design queues from the Holden Commodore, but they are not the same cars. The Holden in this video is a re-engineered Opel Senator. The Lumina has no relation.
power antenna at 2:05... pure class moog
I'm from Europe and here they were Opel Senators, Opel being part of GM and all that. Might have been an OK car once but haven't seen them on the street in many years. Not to offend you but there's a saying here that all cars eventually become Opels :)
That Holden look amazing it sounds awesome out Race Track👏👏👏👏👏
"dude this is your new car, so i hope you like sailing."
LOL
even more so. its a 1989 Holden Commodore VN Berlina, with a 5.0L V8
Chevy did make a 5 liter but it was not very good. They made a 302 for the trans am series and a 305 c.I. for the camaro
5044ci in kingswood vairents to the VK Commodore hence the term the last of the big bangers. Holden comodore didn't run a Chevrolet v8 unroll the 99 series 2 vt though some early kingers did. It is an all Aussie v8 but they're notoriously slow cms are relatively lite but an old vn will struggle against a lite close radio's ice cream container like the turf unless there are massive straights.
True, however I can't help but remember that the rules stated a Nissan. But I would also watch if these guys were doing a XR8 to try something new.
MCM has made great content over the years but I just can't get over how funny this is though it might be cause I'm from NZ so get the references.
Jamesonwolf its a vn as they didn't have indicators in the front quarter panels vp's were the first Commodore to put them in
There is a difference between a roadboat and a wagon. My dad's Caravan is a boat, but, for example, Marty's Subaru wasn' t.
we need longer episodes!!! :D
That's why I love 600cc inline 4 street bikes, there is no messing around there.
lol "That's why I put a chevy badge on it." The bogan is stronger in Moog than I thought
I think you're right.
waking up evry morning hoping theres going to be a new episode
Wooooooooooo can't wait!
Good for you.
Yes, I understand what opel is mate, Its just that the panels and chassis where built here in South Australia and the 5.0l Engine was built in NSW(another state of Australia). So yeah I see your point, but these are home grown... Look up vn ss on youtube and then tell me that a vn commo is a bad car.
That boat sounds AWESOME, lol... That roar... Amazing..
3:47 Marty: This is a boat Moog: This is not a boat, hope you like sailing.
LOL, you guys are awesome!
"Twice as many cylinders as necessary." lol perfect
it's neither a Chevy nor a Holden. It actually is a dressed up Opel Senator (which was based on the Omega).
Evo's are pretty nice, honestly I like most cars from 3 cylinders to 16 they are all cool.
Exactly!
No, Joscelyn....
Come on, the anticipation is killing me!
Marty: if you actually wanted to beat me then you wouldnt have bought a boat
Moog: dude this is not a boat this is your new car so i hope you like sailing
