Think under $1,000 USD in good condition (for just the car, obviously; registration or shipping could double or triple that easily). Either way though, I want to see a Legacy run an 11-second quarter mile, especially it's a wagon!!!
daybreaK Damn, and i thought Mexican laws sucked, in Mexico a car has to be 5 years old to be legally imported, which means many cool cars can't be driven in mexico (unless you live like... in Mexico City where you can actually buy Ferraris... and you can probably afford one if you can afford a house there... i've seen lots worth like 2.5 million dollars)

The turd is still my favorite car. Didn't knew it existed before I owned my own cuore L701. The first time I opened it and took it for a drive I fell instantly in love. After I searched Google and RUclips for some cool mods I came across the turd, the turd was and still kind of is my car's role model. Sad to see it go, doesn't matter how many times I watch it

I love these old MCM videos, but I always have a hard time with the timeline. So I gather from the comments that Marty got gramps, but what did Moog get again? I really wish they would list series and episode numbers on the older videos, so the new fans and people wanting to rewatch older stuff can follow the timeline.

Soo.. What was wrong with it to where it wouldn't pass rego? I didn't see anything wrong with it. It was even stated that the car was rusty, I didn't see any. How hard is the Aussie rego? This coming from a US resident where we can basically register ANYTHING, so, I need some enlightening on why that car was no longer able to be registered.

Rust is a massive nono along with mods in Australia. The car basically has to be from factory to pass without problems. Makes getting a second hand car a problem.

I can see rust being a major no-no if that were the case, as rust=weaker car, more damage to occupants in an accident, thus rust being outlawed to save money. I remember seeing a video of a guy who got 'scammed' on ebay by buying a 65 or so Mustang from the US, and importing it Oz, and it had some slight rust, but nothing serious that couldn't be repaired with maybe 500$ of replacement metal and a welder. But the guy said the car was unregisterable and he would prolly crush it. WHAT?! That was a damn good shape car, it wasn't Barret-Jackson quality, but good enough to last the rest of the buyers natural life as a daily driver. What happened there that made those laws exist, as most law makers do not go out of their way to enact certain laws unless someone has been abusing the lack of them. And isn't Oz mostly dry climate, like California, where cars don't rust much anyway? Rust shouldn't even be on the radar of law makers there, I would think.
Yup, my Telstar Tx5 got wrote off 3 months ago, was going to fix it until one of my neighbors called the cops saying it was a hazard so it got wrecked :(

It was pretty dilapidated and they said that it wouldn't have passed the strict Australian registration standards again so they removed and saved the good parts and crushed the shell

This reminded me of having to crush my old Datsun due to it not being worth trying to fix anymore. I fn loved that car though, I'm not ashamed to say there were tears when she went off to the scrappers. Gutted for you mate. Great show!

I think it might have been frame damage or they modded it so much it wouldn't of passed rego. I really don't know, but I will really miss the turd.
