  • Before hitting Houston at the House of Blues on February 20, Nuno Bettencourt took time out of his tour schedule to share with Deborah his life as the youngest of 10 siblings, growing up in a musical family and how he came to be in the beloved rock band Extreme. Their new album "SIX" is out now and the band is supporting it on their "Thicker Than Blood" tour.

This was a well-done interview and Extreme is the greatest band going. They absolutely blew the roof off of HOB that night. It was phenomenal.

Been a fan since their first album in 1989, saw them in San Antonio on their III Sides to every story tour, these guys were brilliant back then and continue to be, they have no boundaries, they can rock hard with songs like Get the funk out, He Man Woman Hater, Rise, The Mask, they can slow it down with songs like More than words, When I first kissed you, Hurricane, Song for Love, and they are not afraid to sing about GOD with songs like Seven Sundays, Hole Hearted, Watching/Waiting, Who Cares?, & In God We Trust! EXTREME, along with other Rock bands that sing with melody of that early 90's era like KINGS X, Living Colour, and Saigon Kick all deserve much much more respect and attention for putting out such great melodic music not only then but also now-- "SIX" should have won a Grammy for Rock album of 2023!!! Saw EXTREME in Anaheim last August and again twice last week in Austin and Houston and they were EXTRAORDINARY!!! These guys should be playing major arenas but sadly FM Radio and MTV don't care to promote the great music these melodic rock bands continue to produce, sadly the Music Industry powers that be continue to spoon feed the public music that has no melody or harmony and would rather promote Rap and all that other Hip Hop nonsense especially during the Super Bowl Halftime shows!!! Long Live Rock & Roll....& EXTREME!!!!!!

Right on!!! Love the Majestic Theater, what a great venue to host such great acts back in the early 90's!!! San Antonio-- The Heavy Metal Capital of the World back in the 80's when hard rock and Heavy metal ruled!!@@TR4Willis

I just went to see extreme on the 11th in Michigan. Living Color was there Love the concert. We were about 11 Roe's back. The annoying woman that sounded like a train whistle blowing. That started the Encore and wouldn't stop. I was a wee bit tipsy but I do not remember hearing any of their new album at this concert. Love the old stuff. Keep it up.
