You could have measured the crush collar you took out...That would have given you a much closer starting point for your solid spacer.
Good point.
I would have painted my center in silver and highlighted some numbers in yellow, not Sure what year! your method is sound IMO! A few tips presented could have saved you some time! But being Methodical is very good !!! JMO!
Thanks!
My 57 Plymouth doesn't have a crush sleeve from factory. What did you tourqe the flange nut to?
If you're just putting it back on I'd go 125. If pure rebuilding it and there is no sleeve then I don't know. ... 50s are different.
Trying to change the seal on my 2011 dodge ram but when I push the shaft in the pan won’t come out what do you suggest?
Sorry, but I'm not the guy to help you with that.
what u joint part number did you use and straps? it looks like it don't need retainers on the yoke.
The retainers are on the inside. The Joint is a 'combination' joint. Spicer 5-7437X

Where did you order the replacement crush sleeve from?
DrDiff, online. He had the original crush sleeve and the crush sleeve eliminator.... which is what I used.
