Hundreds audition, but only a select group will secure spots in the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders training camp. DCC director Kelli Finglass and head choreographer Judy Trammell oversee the intense audition process and decide which hopefuls will make the team.

They really need to start paying these women more. The crazy amount of talent, the insane amount of time, work and effort that they put in... They deserve to be able to make this their full time job.
The idea is the sort of people you meet as a cheerleader for an NFL team means these girls won't be wanting for money, if you catch my drift. They will find either a sugar daddy, or a wealthy husband within weeks of joining the squad.

You realize they apply for it knowing they don't get paid well. In other words, they don't do it for the money. No one is forcing them to do this.
One of my favorite things about this show is that there's no manufactured drama - the producers never deliberately create conflict among the girls or put them in talking heads and encourage them to talk shit about each other. The level of technique and passion that's on display here is entertaining enough without typical reality tv BS.
Exactly. If the content needs manufactured BS, maybe it shouldn’t be a show. MTT is the perfect example that just following the REALITY of a storyline (like journey from rookie to veteran) is interesting enough.

Melissa's face when she learned Maddie wasn't coming back was exactly the same face I made.
That was my face too! I've followed Maddie on Instagram since she became a dcc and to find out that she wasn't coming back was really shocking.

This rookie class was extremely gifted and the level of talent really does go up every year. Claire and Armani’s solo were exceptionally great and Kelee is just darling. It does my heart good to see these melanin queens shinning and they’re absolutely stunning. Armani, Ashlee and Kat are the epitome of Black Girl Magic ✨
I agree! I honestly think the show is partially to thank for that, because we can see exactly what they expect and how high their expectations are.

When Kat came out with that cane and Judy said that she saw Kat dancing with the cane in a dream, I cracked up laughing at Judy, I guess dreams really do tell the future 😂😂😂😂
she had done the cane in the previous season and said that she had to bring it back because in that solo she had messed up. So it was kind of like a joke that she brought it back!

Maddie was a baddie. Hands down. She had it going on not just the physical but dance as well. She had that IT factor. She could have been DCC a lot longer if she wanted to.

Last I knew, she had injured her knee.
I'm so proud of Madeline S for making it - I think she came back much more poised and elegant this year. :)
I'm concerned why Madeline S gets so upset whenever she talks about her Mum. Is Mum no longer with us? Or am I just reading too much into it?
@@decodolly1535 Her mum is still alive. The first time she tried out Madeline said she wouldn't consider herself a legacy until she earned her place as a DCC. The cameo photos were an emotional moment for her because she was wearing the same earring that her mother wore during her cameos.

I’m 61, and watching these tryouts every year is one of my guilty pleasures- These young women are strong- driven- have talent- unbelievable stamina and athleticism- I dare anyone to say that cheerleading and dance isn’t comparable to a sport! Great job 👏

Truth! Anyone that has taken care of themselves in adulthood as in maintaining conditioning and size knows that it isnt for the feint at heart! Its alot of work and if it was easy, everyone would do it but that isnt the case.

@@patriciastark1951 I'm not a big fan either. She doesn't seem to speak to the crowd quite as well, and I don't know how they let her go around with SUCH a shiny, bubblegum kind of face (which is about the only thing that's ever annoyed me about Victoria as well)

These ladies had me crying too! I’m amazed by their athleticism, endurance and dedication. I love their personalities and their ability to stay positive. Watching the trainers and choreographers is fun as well. Lots of work! Great job and very entertaining. Just so impressive!
27:58 Not only did Jalyn continue without her shoe...when it slipped off she actually used her hand to push the shoe away from her so it wouldn't be in her way. Quick thinking on the spot!

I'm sad Maddie didn't come back. I thought she would be on the team forever. LOL. She had a great 5 years and was one of the best and a fan favorite. I know everyone has to retire, but it's still sad. She was my favorite. I cried when I saw her come back as a mentor.
Maddie was my personal favorite. She was so captivating when she danced. She leaves big boots to fill.

I've been watching this excellent show 3yrs & addicted every detail is classy & Kelli is so great with all of it. Her character is an example to follow
Gina is the only blaring obvious arrogant snob I've seen .
She had no interest in others until Kelli informed her they want that quality to be a good teammate.
Notice how every time Gina speaks it refers to her great friendships & advice from others blah blah. Fake phony plastic ..joke.
Kitty is the only wise one that could see what Gina is.
During show group auditions Gina kept spinning too much & showing off & so funny the way kitty said "ookkk....like enough. already.
The locker room talk kitty knew about how Gina thinks shes a know it all & the best
Gina doesn't absorb the reality of that ugliness

Am I the only one that just loves Tori? She seems so mature, beautiful, and elegant. So glad she came back this year and killed it!
As a guy it's easy to forget just how much training goes behind cheerleading and how skillful these top cheerleaders have to be in order to do what they do. Lots of respect to these young women, every one of them.
Loved that they brought in someone for the makeover that was used to working with wigs! 🙌
Rachel is a living doll. The most beautiful face ever. She has the kind of exquisite beauty that you just want to stare at. Not to mention her beautiful body and her dancing. She just has the extra something. Magic.

I love the one coach. She may even be a therapist or a counselor. She the one who calls Maddie her "favorite" she is so sweet and I think she really cares.

I was actually shocked to find out these women only make about 15 dollars an hour. The Dallas Cowboys are one of the most valuable sports teams in the world. I would think that Jerry Jones would pay these women what they are worth. He has no problem paying the male athletes what they are worth. These women are some of the worlds best dancers and athletes. I really am disappointed that the women of the DCC would go to bat for these women. YES I AM SPEAKING TO YOU KELLI AND JUDY.
Don’t bring Judy into this she’s just the choreographer, I need to look at Charlotte and Kelli They are the ones that call the shots

INSANE. I would be shocked if they were actually paid for every single working hour too, like during every single training, fitting, practice or every time a charity trip or rehearsal runs long. This is a job that encompasses their entire lives and they deserve to be paid for that dedication.
The DCC makeoverovers are what the ATNM makeovers should have been.

FUCKING FACTS! Even the way the black women hair well were taken care off, the blonde girl that only got her make up fixed. Everyone’s b be natural make up was on point. The want to highlight their natural beauty. First time watching this and I thought such a positive show
This season was defiantly the most magical out of all I think.
I'm glad that they got a raise and now will make an average of $75k for their hard work!

Could we get Bridgets Journey(s13 and s14) she is legit one of the most underrated dancers, and was shined really great! Also would love Lexie since she was pro-bowl and really should've been one of the points

As a gay male. I’m absolute stunned by the dedication and hard work of this ladies have while tearing each other’s as family. True example of women supporting women. I’m for ever a fan of this beautiful, classy and empowered group of ladies all the love for setting such a high bar and keeping it 110%

These ladies are professionals and should be paid as such. Not only do they cheer and dance, they represent the Cowboys organization in personal appearances, fundraisers, and as goodwill ambassadors.

The dancing talent just keeps getting better and better every year. I like how 51 women were filtered out early online to avoid having hundreds of just average dancers show up live. Kat has come a long way.
It’s crazy one episode of this show has a bigger budget than one cheerleaders annual salary.
Always love seeing these videos and seeing the empty stadium. In 2009/2010 I was part of a select group of high school students to perform on the field for the cotton bowl and that was the best band practice ever! It was also my last half time show. A piece of my heart is forever on that field.
The dancers have technique that is F-A-R F-A-R beyond the needs for this these kind of entertainment cheerleaders shows, some of them are at the level of prime league athletes.
they are more than just cheerleaders. not everyone can be a DCC. anyone of them could go to another dance team and make that team, but not everyone from those other dance teams could make the DCC team. that's the difference.
@@sheridan1887 What else do they do that require these outstanding level of technique? The shows on the fields seems to me quite very medium level dancing level requirements. Beyond the prestige of being DCC, why the dancers need such very high technique?
@@ilank43 it doesn't matter. The DCC have a certain look and style that they are looking for. they are looking for candidates that can perform many forms of dance. if a candidate doesn't meet the requirement, they don't make it. end of story!
Yep! They have such high standards and then don't even utilize the amazing talent they have. It's sad, really

I love male hair stylist/ artist . They really take pride in their cuts, and colors. And it’s truly an art for the woman’s face shape . So hard to come across mail hair artist’s. And they always, always have wait list’s. But so worth it . To be part of his clientele. You won’t ever switch back to a female stylist. Unless she really knows how to make her clients come back to her . For her exceptional work ethic. So many great hair artists. Don’t give up . They’re out there . I love every cheerleaders makeover hair . Beautiful. For beautiful DCC cheerleader spokeswoman. God bless all of you 🙏🏻😊💜💙

I've always rooted for the cheerleaders way more than the Cowboys, I've actually met the cheerleaders, some of them, in The Killeen, tx Wal mart. I worked there, and as a woman, who was assigned to help protect them, I have to say beautiful and classy. Actually about the only thing I like about Dallas altogether. Great athletes in their own right.
We need more ways to stream dcc making the team I feel like the audience would be so much bigger CMT is now a premium channel for some cable companies :(

Pluto plays all the way up to 2018 it’s great, I watch it all the time and learn so much about dance, poise, and of course the Dallas Cowboys! At least they push what’s great about being a women! Keep dancing ladies!
