The ease with which Bob throws in pointless details is amazing. He does the exact same thing whether he is lying or telling the truth. He is just hilarious.
All I have to hear is "theft and shrubbery," and I absolutely lose it! It makes me laugh out loud through the whole story. The interactions between Bob and David are priceless! Bob Mortimer is my favorite Would I Lie to You panelist ever. There are a couple of people who come close, but Bob is the best!
Love this man! Such a unique soul and a national treasure. Legendary story teller with a quick wit. Hope he is on the mend with ever-improving health. ❤
Bob is one of my favourites, along with James Acaster and Rhod Gilbert on WILTY! Sooo good, his delivery and quick-wittedness is incredible. He makes me wish Robin Williams could have been a regular on this show! Would have been hilarious!
What a funny guy and he can make it sound so convincing without laughing or giving anything away. Bob has a very creative and wacky mind. Good on ya Bob!
My favourite uncle Benny was one of the most wonderful people that you could meet. He was the best of the best and l loved him so much. RIP Uncle Benny and know that you were loved.😊
I like how everyone who has seen the title screen of the video knows its reversed, as Bob is always on the right side with Lee's team to torture David 😂
Everything about Bob Mortimer is amazing, but the fact that no one seemed to know that a didgeridoo is played like a brass instrument drives me nuts. The challenging part to which Greg refers is the circular breathing technique that allows you to keep playing with stored air while you inhale, and that is hard to do. But making a sound is very easy for anyone that's ever played a horn, and any musician would have identified it as a lie so quickly and surely that it would never have made the edit.
You don't blow in a didgeridoo, no amount of wind going through would make any noise, so that was nonsensical from the beginning. You put you lips in and vibrate them as if you were trying to imitate an engine sound. The vibrations are then amplified by the shape of the instrument and makes a sound. That's also how you play most big wind instruments, or horns, especially those huge warhorns like in the Lord of the Rings. You don't blow your lungs out, you just produce a vibration that then bounces inside the tube and comes out amplified.
"Fingerprints on an abandoned handrail"
He's a poet... "Like picking pollen from a mouse's handkerchief..."
Legendary
“Like trying to find a rabbits tear drop in an oil spill”
It’s all becoming ever so clear now 😂
They're long and thin, slip right in.
I would happily watch a whole series of Bob sitting by the fireside telling tales of his youth!😂
Same
Buy his autobiography!
That's a big section of gone fishing
“I hope that’s all the information you need “ is possibly my favorite Bob Mortimer line. 😂
Closely followed by "hence the success of the pillow" 😂
Mine is "I ain't paying no fly to do it"
And away...
The ease with which Bob throws in pointless details is amazing. He does the exact same thing whether he is lying or telling the truth. He is just hilarious.
I've seen this so many times, but every time Bob says "A sniper's dream" I nearly choke. Thank you, Bob.
‘Snipers dream’ 😊
Every single time lol
Love the way Bobs stories are so funny he cracks himself up telling them! 😂😂😂
*Bob's
@@soulmod63 No *, just "Bob´s". 🙄.... 😁 By the way you are doing a great job keeping youtube safe from misspellings! 👍

He is the King of WILTY 👑🤩😂
@@linam764 Totally agree…this show was made for him! Why he hasn’t been offered a team captain position is beyond me
@@OneBentMonkey probably because David and Lee are so great. Which one of them would you have him replace?
@@KasiaGoclowski That would be a very tough decision, to be sure!
The only person to come close to Bob's outrageous stories that are actually true is Vic Reeves.
“we hoped he would be, but he could never find the flute”
I love how we went from David saying, "I love hearing these tales of Bob's youth" to "I have been traumatized by Bob's various egg stories"
Bob is such a fantastic person, just his outlook is so refreshing. Him being a solicitor trying to help people says a lot
I could listen to theft and shrubbery a thousand times over
Every time he says "Ronnie Omelettes" still kills me. 😂😂😂😂
What a wonderful man Bob is.
He doesn't need drugs, he is naturally bent........WONDERFUL MAN.
Bob Mortimer the strongest anti depressant on the market. 💕💕💕💕
David's Ginger nut alternative is golden😂
And here I am back at this video for the 10,000th time
Twisting means tears. Just one more nugget of wisdom from the great man.
Possibly my favorite show ever. This crew is perfectly matched.
& Bob has led a crazy life.
‘A leather-makers drill yeah’ 😂😂😂
Snipers dream. Possibly the funniest thing I’ve ever heard in my life. I love that man.
Lee's cute happy face! He's so excited when the Bob's on the show (as is the audience obvs). 🥰
Bob is a comic genius.
Love this man! Such a unique soul and a national treasure. Legendary story teller with a quick wit. Hope he is on the mend with ever-improving health. ❤
Unaware he's ill, do you know what's wrong with him please?
Hear hear...
He nearly died from blocked arteries to his heart so underwent open heart surgery..@@josephinepeery6938
That lady's laugh during the Bob apple splitting segment is so adorable ❤
"A sniper's dream they used to call him"
‘Snipers dream’
Sniper’s
Good ol' Cheeseman
His brother had a really bad limp; sniper's nightmare they'd call him

“I don’t have to breath in to breath out”…
…
😂😂😂😂
I seriously wish I had grown up with Bob. He really seems he had such an eventful life.
Wake up! It’s all lies. But very entertaining nonetheless. 😂
Read his autobiography it's brilliant
I read his book and it goes over a lot of these stories, i highly recommend reading
I wish that the Chris Rhea/egg bath was one of the clips 😂😂
I wish my mrs was as interesting as Bob, I could listen to Bob for hours😄👍
WE DO BEG YOUR PARDON, WE ARE IN YOUR GARDEN!!
Its funny seeing Lee Mack looking at Bob Mortimer and wondering what he will say. Two very funny northerners
"I don't have to breathe in to breathe out" is unreasonably funny XD
Bob Mortimer is just built different. He must have given a couple of nervous breakdowns to David Mitchell
"I always crack an egg in my bath.."
Nobody else tells a tale like Bob whether true or not
spat out my tea so many times you’d think i’d learn to not drink while watching bob 😂
"Don't be all rough-handed." 😂
So love watching Bob Mortimer's stories and the reaction from David Mitchell makes the stories so much funnier😂😂
Tentative testicle is going to be my new alias.
The amount of times I've seen all of these, and will continue to see them, is crazy 😂
What a funny guy and he can make it sound so convincing without laughing or giving anything away. Bob has a very creative and wacky mind. Good on ya Bob!
Bob Mortimer is one of my favourite people ever.❤
Thanks. I've spat my tea out twice and nearly soiled myself laughing... Happy now?? 😂
"right, so we're in trouble aren't we"..... "what a terrible set of circumstances" 😂
The first Bob Mortimer story I just didn't believe was even in the realm of possibility was the Cockroach King story
Bob is a diamond :)
Bob is just SUPERB !!!
This man is so funny I could watch him all day 🤣🤣🤣🤣 brilliant 😅😅😅
My favourite uncle Benny was one of the most wonderful people that you could meet. He was the best of the best and l loved him so much. RIP Uncle Benny and know that you were loved.😊

BOB MORTIMER IS A LEG END👏👏👏👊I absolutely love him 😊
I feel sorry for Ronnie Omlette
3:33 The perfect response to almost anything Bob Mortimer ever says.
I tried this apple parting after looking at this and it works!!!
I like how everyone who has seen the title screen of the video knows its reversed, as Bob is always on the right side with Lee's team to torture David 😂
Bob's a legend 😂
Never gets old
I’d pay to see Bobs phone contacts list
He broke the apple in half with his bare hands! Brilliant!
Nowhere near bizarre or surreal enough to be a true Bob story ...had he borrowed the flute from Chris Rea I'd have believed it ..
Ripping the apple in half, to this day, I can't believe actually works.. It's crazy that it does hahaha
Oh I love you Bob Mortimer!
I love him and Vic Reeves so much.
Vic not so much IMO
Broccoli Highkicks.
I think this man might be a genius
Snipers dream 😂😂😂
"Was it a gerrrabell?"
If a story has names that sound made up... It's true!!!
Love Bob 😂
Good ay he bob
Bob is q legend
Like everyone watching this , I’m going to get an apple ..
The “V” of a tree is actually (funnily enough) called its crotch.
And the bit of the hand between where the thumb and finger is the perliclue?!
Snipers dream they used to call him 😂
You know when his stories are a lie but fuckin hell he makes everyone laugh 😂
The man is a National Treasure.
His British humor..oops, mean humour is in the great tradition of Lewis Carroll.
I don't have to breathe in to breathe out 😅😅😅
love you bob
That part of your hand is called the purlicue.
I wish I had all new ones and both with Bob in them
Broccoli high kicks!!!!
Chris Rea egg in bath has to be up there . Even just for David's reaction .
Sniper's Dream
Gave me a laugh 😂

@14:18 Solicitor? Is not he the fourth child?
Why would that stop him from being a solicitor?
5:45 lmao
Lol
I've noticed that bobs order of learning the apple and egg trick is reversed between this and taskmaster
If you like Bob Mortimer and like football, please go and enjoy Athletico Mince if you don't already. Start at around episode 20. You're welcome!
