In regards to spawning. A lot of people pointed out that the spawns are all congregating around the trial areas and this one smaller out of the way area in mythopia that opens in a quest. I don't think that's a bug though, I think that's deliberate. People have asked to turn off spawns because they wreck their builds and eventually they don't need them. I think this is their answer. By still spawning but mostly only in out of the way areas, you can't decorate anyway, they don't interrupt your decorating or mess your builds up.
@BrightNeonBrilliancy i agree, but if I know I only need to hit up a very small area(s) I also don't need to waste the mist on them either. Basically instead of running to the vacuum i run to the trial area.

I'm personally liking the main story format for Storybook Vale. Unlike Eternity Isle, I don't have to rush and open up practically all the biomes to complete the character introduction quests. I can enjoy exploring for a change.
Hey Serroh, love the vids! I made a Reddit post the other day about this, but you can actually drop items on the ground where those flowers spawn under the bridge in order to prevent them from spawning there again. I used rubies since Mythopia drops so many of them lol
I totally think this expansion is worth it i love how different it gets each year the devs put out new stuff and it makes the game more interesting with the bugs though it's understandable because it was just released I'm excited for the future of this game 🎉

Mist in Storybook Vale It would have been nice to have the ability to collect Mist in Storybook Vale as mist is used to complete task there. It would have been a nice crossover.
Def agree, especially since you can even hunt for timebending materials in Storybook Vale and I would love to have more stuff added (Especially since we have a dedicated Hercules and Sleeping Beauty area)
i honestly feel there’s not enough characters in the game and enough buildings that are different gameplay. i wish scrooge and remys were designed differently for each pack
its a decorating game its what i love to do most i enjoy the quests i loved the rift in time and loving the story book vale so many awesome decorations options.
@Serroh Ya I think they made some real positive strides in the right direction compared to Eternity I mean is it perfect? No but are they moving in the right direction yes.
@Serroh if you water those glitched flowers they will sometimes allow you to pick them up without your game crashing! Worked for myself a few times. Love your videos Serroh!
It's so interesting to me when people complain about the storybook magic because it's exactly the same as it was when we were getting dreamlight in the beginning lol
I think that is the point. Moving into a 3rd year of dlv it would be nice to get a different gameplay loop and being a DLC I think it’s the perfect time for the devs to experiment with new ways of grinding.
I also would personally like if destroying Inkies would replace the dream shards with something else more related to dlc content. I have the same issue with shards from EI, basically if you are going to do a new thing to clean up, give us new/different rewards from them.
How are you getting the good furniture to spawn in Scrooges shop? I keep getting things I already have and the wallpaper and floor section doesn’t have anything and hasn’t since the update
I think minus bugs the dlc is fine but the biggest issue is "this dlc will so last for 9 months" and we just beat part 1 faster then even rift's part 1?

I hope they add other ways to obtain Storybook Magic. Concerning the replay ability in this game: Even though there are quests, trials, etc. the game is primarily a decorating game just like in Palia, Animal Crossing New Horizons and some other cozy style games. The drawback is there is a lot of grinding. If a player does not enjoy decorating and the grind that accompanies it, these type of games are probably not for them. The amazing beauty in the game and the cute Disney characters make it special for me.
the map is built as 2 long rectangles because it's supposed to look like a book. The Bind is literally... the bind of the book, and then the rest is just the split halves of the pages.
Truthfully, I would have bought it for the book trees regardless of the characters. 😅 then I saw the outfits with the early buy. Then I saw the book glider. 😍

Yeah. I'm pretty disappointed with how much is lacking in Storybook. I do appreciate it's beauty and space but paying $50 for such little gameplay just isn't worth it for me. I won't pay that much again.

Thank you Serroh for reminding me to take time and enjoy the DLC instead of rushing. The fans wanted a faster story, so that's what they got. Only to get 2 parts and now everyone who rushed feeling a bit bored now.
The only time I go back to Eternity isle just for the mist. It's all decorated and now I just started decorating the new dlc Storybook Vale the bind is done to my liking but I'm taking my time with this one so far. I just cannot find time to grind this one. Thanks for sharing 👍🏾
trading only useful if you have access yo multiplayer or if you want to do multiplayer which some people don't for either would really be great if they'd give us the feature to send items to each other through the mail. even if they limited it to just 10 stacks of items at a time and it took 2 days to get those items transferred from one account to the other i've been waiting for hades hair to go out to hear him say "WHOA, is my hair out" but haven't noticed that yet if they gave it to him i've noticed a couple rugs that we have being of different sizes in SBV than what we actually have. could this be hinting at item scaling coming to the game soon?
I love the expansion itself but it’s so broken that it’s not fun to play. I can’t get Hades because the trial is broken, inkies don’t respawn, buddies are glitched out (not just the new characters), and I can’t get white snippets to spawn after placing lures down, they only go to lures, no more flying ones. And my Scrooge stores are abysmal. Absolutely no new furniture items. That was a MASSIVE let down. I got one chair from Brave on the first day, that was it. 3 Scrooge visits per day have been 3 big disappointments per day. I still haven’t seen the glowing mushrooms or hyena cave so I know I’m not seeing the new items from the past few updates as well.
I been loving the DLC. I actually think it is my favorite map too, I love all three areas. The one down side for me was the usage for the royal net. With rift in time when we got the hourglass we were able to us it for both the DLC map and the main map to get mists. When I saw the trailer I thought it was going to be a similar thing with us being able to catch snippets in the other maps. But we only can do it once a day with four white bird snippets. I also was a little disappointed that we can't use the hourglass in the new map. And with the fact that after you get all of the story book pages there isn't any more reason to keep catching snippets so the net becomes useless. I was hoping it wouod be like the hourglass and we could have a permit use for it. But that is really the only down side I have with this DLC and who knows maybe part 2 will add more to do with it. I am have so much fun so far and I also think it was really worth buying.
I actually think it is valid we cannot use the hourglass in the new part, because now people can buy the storybook expention and not the eternity isle one.

The hourglass I still use all the time even after finishing a rift in time. And I still use mist a lot. So I hope the snippets and the net will have more of a use outside the story of the DLC. But even if it doesnt happen that way, it is only a small complaint for me. I still think the DLC overall is amazing.
I think the Dragons and the Bind made the dlc worth it for me. Otherwise id have been disappointed for the money. Also loce the puzzles and the new characters of course.
I honestly think that I might make the vale my main island with how bug it is I think itll be alot easier to move all the character houses here and have room to spare which ive been waiting for i just dont know how well im going to like the whole new islands aspect of the main valley...
Im on Switch and My scrooge shop hasnt had any new items since the release day for Storybook Vale. A LOT of my magic duties are bugged so im stuck farming the more grinding quests, so getting magic has been incredibly difficult. I dont mind grinding for things for sure but its been more frustrating than anything. No other way to get story magic other than the duties. The white snippets and the snippets in Hurcules area rarely spawn and i have to choose on focusing on opening another biome or crafting traps to catch the snippets/demons so im not stuck wasting so much time trying to catch them. Lol. My character will also just randomly freeze but my camera is still working, it will crash or i have to reset the game. I knew there was gonna be bugs for sure, but its been crazy. Im happy with the update, the biomes are beautiful but a lot of missed opportunites. I havent been playing it much just because its too buggy and fruatrating atm so ill wait until they start bug patches to continue any further progression. Ill continue to jsut farm items and collect for the time being. :)
Switchy Switch Buddy 🤗I'm on Switch too. The first 2 days it was alot of logging out to the main screen. My wand was bugged a few times.I noticed a snippet followed me back into my main island( the 1st island we all started with pre downloadable content). I was able to catch it with my new wand and it counted towards the snippets.The red , white and blue ish ( teal) looking ones. Might be a bug I'm not sure.
This was dlc is worth it to me and i like the vale a lot aswell as the characters, but compared to A Rift in Time, i feel like we have a lot less content. Less fish, less gems, slightly less new vegetables and fruits. Less craftables And unlike mist, there is no reason to keep catching snippets. There also isnt anything on the same level of ancient machines and no new craftung bench like the time bending bench from eternity isle. I know there is still a part 2 to come and hopefully well get more craftables but still theres a lot of things that are still less in this dlc
I'm kinda sad they didn't give us Maleficent too as a villager in this first part, but I assume she will come along with Aurora in the second part of the dlc :'c I'm just enjoying it as I slowly unlock all bioms and decorate for now
So… we don’t get Aurora until the second part? I’ve finished the quest between Maleficent and Hades, does that mean I am done for now? (Other than arranging stories?)
They should have made it so you can only replay the puzzle one a day but completing it gives you story magic like 1 star 50 magic, 2 star 100 magic, 3 star 150 magic, 4 star 200 magic 5 star 250 magic. it's not too much but it is a little to give you a daily boost.
been in Australia paying around $74 for the DLC is ouchh. its a beautiful world but i feel some of the biomes are almost mass produced from eternity isle and dreamlight. valley. I also find it a bit hard to navigate around unless I'm jumping to a certain point. Everything is more spread out.
Asking here because of the forums I’ve posted in I’ve gotten no response I placed Flynn’s house near the river and his first quest to dig up items, one spawned onto of the river not allowing me to pick up I’ve submitted the issue to gameloft and instantly got the automated reply. But looking back to the convo my photo was removed. It says if you submit another claim it will take longer to fix the issue. Any help of feedback is much appreciated
I still havent finished one of the first quests on Eternity Isle with Mickey because Green Fly Traps stopped spawning in the wild tangle for me! I even uninstalled and reinstalled the game! So this definitely isnt the first time a flower quest has become a problem for me lol
BUGS AT THIS STATE IS WILD. OTHER GAMES THAT COST THIS MUCH DO NOT STILL HAVE BUGS. THE MAIN GAME IS STILL BUGGY. I HAVE ALL THE DLC BUT I AM PASSING ON THIS ONE ❤❤❤
What kills me is they go through the troubles of designing the trials and hide those green chests but when you finally open them its a furniture item you already have or a single meal 😭 like come on guys
Also i wanted to add, i really wish we would have seasonal events more like ACNH with NPCs that show up, interact, give out prizes for completing tasks, change the scenery a bit, etc. The core issue of this game is it lacks a sense of being alive. Like you said, once you complete the quests there is no replay value. It feels empty and dead, the characters feel empty and almost uncanny.
31:03 This is true. Shoes in the game go for $10 US DOLLARS. This dlc is most certainly worth every penny compared to digital nike EDIT: I have an Idea for more replayability... Randomly generated trials
I'm sorry but the amount of money you have to put into this game there should not be game crashing bugs. That isn't something we should be ok with just because it's become the norm

My only issue with this is that vaccums don't work for those areas, so it renders them unusable in the Vale.

For the ink duties I noticed it’ll count the ink in the bind but not the other areas so to get through those tasks don’t get rid of ink in the bind

Switchy Switch Buddy 🤗I'm on Switch too. The first 2 days it was alot of logging out to the main screen. My wand was bugged a few times.I noticed a snippet followed me back into my main island( the 1st island we all started with pre downloadable content). I was able to catch it with my new wand and it counted towards the snippets.The red , white and blue ish ( teal) looking ones. Might be a bug I'm not sure.
At least for me the lack of counting of the inkies isn't just for the duties. My game stopped counting them for the achievement as well 😕
I’m not even getting any more inkies. Once I cleared them the first time, none have spawned since. Not a single one.
They only count in the Bind. They won't count in any other biomes which is ridiculous.

Same, I stopped removing them, and just focussing on clearing other stuff first
This was dlc is worth it to me and i like the vale a lot aswell as the characters, but compared to A Rift in Time, i feel like we have a lot less content. Less fish, less gems, slightly less new vegetables and fruits. Less craftables And unlike mist, there is no reason to keep catching snippets. There also isnt anything on the same level of ancient machines and no new craftung bench like the time bending bench from eternity isle. I know there is still a part 2 to come and hopefully well get more craftables but still theres a lot of things that are still less in this dlc
I'm kinda sad they didn't give us Maleficent too as a villager in this first part, but I assume she will come along with Aurora in the second part of the dlc :'c
I'm just enjoying it as I slowly unlock all bioms and decorate for now
I'm gonna have to make a list on where all my characters are once I decorate everywhere between all 3 lands.

They should have made it so you can only replay the puzzle one a day but completing it gives you story magic like 1 star 50 magic, 2 star 100 magic, 3 star 150 magic, 4 star 200 magic 5 star 250 magic. it's not too much but it is a little to give you a daily boost.
Yep I agree! Things like this would add some replay value and also expand the ways to grind story magic

been in Australia paying around $74 for the DLC is ouchh. its a beautiful world but i feel some of the biomes are almost mass produced from eternity isle and dreamlight. valley. I also find it a bit hard to navigate around unless I'm jumping to a certain point. Everything is more spread out.
this expansion is better than rift in time but it comes with a lot of bugs and glitches
I wish there were more hidden quests, like the potato one

Asking here because of the forums I’ve posted in I’ve gotten no response
I placed Flynn’s house near the river and his first quest to dig up items, one spawned onto of the river not allowing me to pick up
I’ve submitted the issue to gameloft and instantly got the automated reply. But looking back to the convo my photo was removed. It says if you submit another claim it will take longer to fix the issue.
Any help of feedback is much appreciated

i did the Hades story line and at one point he gives you a code... that code really works its not great but kinda funny
I still havent finished one of the first quests on Eternity Isle with Mickey because Green Fly Traps stopped spawning in the wild tangle for me! I even uninstalled and reinstalled the game! So this definitely isnt the first time a flower quest has become a problem for me lol

BUGS AT THIS STATE IS WILD. OTHER GAMES THAT COST THIS MUCH DO NOT STILL HAVE BUGS. THE MAIN GAME IS STILL BUGGY. I HAVE ALL THE DLC BUT I AM PASSING ON THIS ONE ❤❤❤
Sadly for the ps5 it only has the regular $30 version available for purchase so I couldn't buy the magic edition

$30 or $50 for 50 hours of gameplay is more than a good value. There’s still the 2nd half of the story that will add another 20+ hours.
What kills me is they go through the troubles of designing the trials and hide those green chests but when you finally open them its a furniture item you already have or a single meal 😭 like come on guys
Also i wanted to add, i really wish we would have seasonal events more like ACNH with NPCs that show up, interact, give out prizes for completing tasks, change the scenery a bit, etc. The core issue of this game is it lacks a sense of being alive. Like you said, once you complete the quests there is no replay value. It feels empty and dead, the characters feel empty and almost uncanny.
Like the pouches we get sometimes, wish they actually had special items in them 🫤

It was but Storybook Vale is more aesthetically pleasing. EI had more items and more gameplay.

This is true. Shoes in the game go for $10 US DOLLARS. This dlc is most certainly worth every penny compared to digital nike

I'm sorry but the amount of money you have to put into this game there should not be game crashing bugs. That isn't something we should be ok with just because it's become the norm

I love the search bar that they have for the furniture. I just wish they would add it for the recipes as well.
