    It should be noted that these masks are only *half* of the system. They can be used instead of intubating some patients, but the actual ventilator pump is still required, for supplying the positive-pressure air to the mask. Still, by reducing the need to use up the limited endotracheal tube supply, these might be of great benefit.

    I think the only thing wrong with this is when you exhale you will pop the "peep" valve allowing the fresh oxygen to escape and and leave a certain amount of CO2 in the mask. If you could run a channel down the mask from the "peep" valve to the mouth, I believe this would be a great improvement BUT great idea. WELL DONE!

    The mask has a 1 liter volume - so you need a lot of air flow to ensure that all CO2 is removed after each breath. A patient with corona need more oxygen ! And help to draw in the breath. But added pressure can be damaging - This mask is not confortable for a long time - if you want it to be tight you need the correct size - they come in many sizes ! There should definitely not be a not regulated contra pressure! It is my guess that the mask will work better if the used air go out in front of the mouth.

    I wonder if it would reduce the amount of COVID-19 patients who survive critical illness with long term lung scarring. I'm thinking this mask would because you don't have a tube shoved up your throat, which probably in and of items causes massive, permanent lung damage in critically ill COVID19 patients, whose lungs are already dealing with the coronavirus and secondary lung infections. I'm not a doctor, but I think some of those patients would of have made full lung recoveries as if they never got critically ill if it wasn't for a tube shoved down your throat.
    It takes a little bit of sense to know how much harm shoving tubes disown throats can do, sometimes even worse than the problem its trying to address, like viral infection.

    I thought that when the coronavirus became epidemic, it was just around the time that ☢ was causing physical damage. After taking up cesium after 311 in Japan, 7 to 8 years after the symptom of cesium is taken, there may be few people thinking about this, but there is something I want to tell people all over the world. Eternal reflection.
    We seem to be heading to the future, and we have to drag the past as it is to survive.
    Writing about the environment and factory pollution may start bullying the weak. We do not want to afflict the poor, but when we pollute the environment, we eventually weaken the human body. Once again, think about the meaning of the word eternal reflection.
    Then, "Gib nicht auf" in German
    If this is an anagram, If U BIG chant
    The Lord heard one sound of the Metallica lord on the road.
    English translation] Metallica-Hero of the Day
    Bob Marley & the Wailers-Rastaman Chant
    Are you singing the most important thing as a chant? Is a human being living less than God less valuable?
If U BIG chant
    主は道路でメタリカのlordの1つの音を聞いた。

    NOT a "ventilator", at all. Please research before posting, this is making the rounds.
    A ventilator is a machine that breathes for a patient through a tube placed in the trachea (wind pipe), not a mask.

    • @jamesjohnson8090
      @jamesjohnson8090 4 года назад +2

      Just so you know, this is an acceptable form of ventilation approved by the FDA for emergency use, using an Anesthesia Machine. It might help if you followed your own advice.

    • @powerram00
      @powerram00 4 года назад +1

      @@jamesjohnson8090 thats also totally wrong. In the Video is a CPAP machine, its just supports breathing and can't breath for the patient. But every CPAP machine comes with a Mask, so why use this instead of the dedicated Mask?
      A Anästhesie Maschine can breath for the patient, and there are some of them in use for ICU Patients, it lacks on personal, not on breathing machines.

      A ventilator is *still* required. Where do you think the positive-pressure air going into this mask comes from? All the mask replaces is the endotracheal tube that would normally be placed into the patient's trachea ("wind pipe").

    • @murrayflewelling1258
      @murrayflewelling1258 4 года назад

      @@seikibrian8641 Just the facts :
      Helmet ventilation is an alternative, and this video illustrates the equipment and demonstrates of how it is assembled and applied with descriptions of initial ventilator settings. In a 2016 single-center randomized trial, noninvasive ventilation (NIV) delivered by helmet significantly reduced the intubation rate among patients with ARDS compared with the patients receiving NIV by face mask. • @seikibrian8641
      @seikibrian8641 4 года назад

      @@murrayflewelling1258 Yes, your facts reflect exactly what I wrote above. A ventilator (seen at 0:42 in this video) feeds either an endotracheal tube or -- in this case -- a well-sealed mask that can provide positive pressure air to inflate the lungs. (A normal oxygen mask can't do that; it'll just leak air around the edge of the mask if the patient can't inhale on his/her own.)
