Dodgers fan here…Nice to see a basketball guys reaction…had a lot of my football homies tell me that was the only baseball they had watched all season and were tuned into every game. To answer your question about the pitching and why starters don’t go daily: compare it to weight lifting and imagine if you did legs on Monday, theres no way you’re doing legs again on Tuesday!😅 A pitchers arm is like a wet noodle the next day, takes 4-5 days rest before you’re ready to go again, and that’s what made Buehlers performance that much more spectacular🤩
^^^This... Unless you're 2014 Madison Bumgarner, then you're just built different🤷🏾♂️ Butane was ready to leave it all on the field, and he did just that🔥🔥🔥 It's also fitting they were playing Welcome To The Jungle as he was taking the mound, because his performance on that save was very Eric Gagne-esque🔥🔥🔥
They used up all the reliever pitchers in the bullpen that day so desperate times called for desperate measures, asking a starting pitcher who only had 1 day of rest to finish out the game. They trusted him, and it worked.
One of the craziest things is the Dodgers had zero pitchers left to pitch that last inning. The only other guy available was Daniel Hudson. He said his elbow was tightening up while warming up, he's blown out his UCL twice already, he said if he had to throw that night his elbow was going to blow out for sure.
Just to explain the last pitcher a little more clearly, buehler started the game 2 games before this one. Teams typically go through a 5 game rotation to give the pitchers enough rest . So that is why he did not start this game, because he was not rested enough. He pitched to finish the game because he is one of our best pitchers and we also had no more good relievers to come in and try to close the game to win the world series. you see that only in instances to close out series in the post season.... And what the announcer was saying is that he hasnt come in as a RELIVER since 2018... hes only started games but in this particular game he was used as a reliever under the circumstances of trying to win the game and the championship
The guy pitching at the end for the dodgers has pitched recently and not since 2018, what they mean from the bullpen is like used as backup and are reliever pitchers for any starter pitchers that mess up and need to be swapped, so basically the guy they used is usually a starter pitcher for the games and is very good and isnt in the bullpen.
Walker Beuhler is a starter. He came in as a reliever for the first time since 2018. BUT he started the World Series. He’s one of the Best pitchers in LA. In MLB.
Wann, I kinda want to see a Giancarlo Stanton career highlights reaction (the swole guy who you said had muscles on his ears). In his prime, he was him. Maybe you could react to individual player highlights to see how good they are. Or you could react to a video of someone explaining how baseball works. If you need it I'll link it.
“How the Dodgers won this World Series.” No, they were already going to win after game 3. No team has ever come back from 3-0 to win the World Series. The Dodgers were clearly the better team. If they lost Game 5, Game 6/7 would have been in LA and there was no way the Yankees would have won two games in a row in LA. Plus, the Dodgers scouting report already knew NY’s weaknesses and the Dodgers (from the start) had been playing to exploit these weaknesses. The Yankees struggled to keep it together, but finally fell apart at the seams in this 5th inning from hell. Game 4 was an anomaly because the Dodgers put their bullpen in to get the starting pitchers rested. But then, the Yankees fell apart and the Dodgers took advantage in this game. Point is, even if they didn’t, they would still have won the series.
Last world series for the Dodgers was 2020 but people would dismiss it because it was a shortened season due to covid.. this time they have nothing to say 👍

@@LAsuperfly94 That moment was so intense, I didn’t even notice they were playing that song😅 but thanks for pointing that out and Gagne the 🐐💪🏽
Blowing a 5-0 lead in a elimination game is insane work

It was a do or die. Hard to watch, lovely to see the result.
The Dodgers pitcher hasn't pitched from the bullpen since 2018. He's a starter. And they're called runs, not points.

Yessir world champs 2024 let’s do it again next year💙🤍

Here for the baseball

I wish I was there live to tell you the basketball equivalent of what Walker did.
Playing in Game 6 for 48 minutes, no rest, then coming in Game 7 with 5 minutes left in the game and making every clutch play
13:31 I’m pretty sure if you throw the ball at the player to get them out, that would start a fight and everyone would get involved.
Yankees had been making these mistakes all season , it just all came together in this inning
Dodgers 2024 World Series Champs !🎉
7 game series in baseball is 2-3-2.

We won the world series proud of our LA Dodgers. Sorry NY Yankees
Doesn’t matter the sport in the championship game mental errors and mental mistakes will kill your chances of being champions
as soon as he said "if the ball hits the runner, is he out?" , i knew i had to stop watching this channel. sorry, good luck
26:23 it’s called the hitters box
You’re hilarious 😂😂😂😂😂
As a Mets fan my teams used to selling
🤣🤣🤣
It’s a different physical move. You’re throwing hard and junk over and over. So your arm needs rest.
You’re doing great though!
Dodgers let go of Walker Buehler
Holly casual lmao stick too basketball reactions bud
5 runs my guy 😅
