Hi Mackey. I was just cracking up when you mentioned the srs light on your car. My mazda has had the airbag light on since I got the car and I never bother to fix it. It's been fine and hasn't popped on me so no worries. However my car is an older car so it does not have an OBD plug on it. There are different type of OBD so make sure you know what your car has. If your car has an OBD plug, you will need one of those OBD testers to check that light. I think that may help you. I will need to get to my light eventually since the bracket that holds that airbag controller has broken off from being old, but I don't have another one so I have to wait until I can get my hands on one in order to fix mine. My light fix is a bit different, but I'm guessing your car is newer. Also, get the service manual for your car, whatever it is and depending on how good it is unless it's the dealer service manual, it will show you where all the sensors are, and pretty much anything else you need to look up. There are difference procedures for the airbags so it's good to know the correct information anyway.
If I have to buy another car that is cheap I would buy an Evo 9(really old and cheap one), a Lancer Mirage(old version), Honda Civic 01-03, Mazda3 03-06. . There are are other ones that I would buy, that would be a big $ $ category.
Two places, under the hood on the driver side and under the steering on the driver side(you will see like a draw that you can pull out see the fuse box) cheers

This is cool i have a 2006 mitsubishi lancer To solve the srs problem you need to change the clock spring behind the steering wheel as it has a cut wire but it's expensive so you can solder it but you must check for shorts after soldering

Do you have a scan tool like the MaxiDiag Elite Scan Tool? It should allow you to erase the codes allowing the SRS system to recheck for errors and when no errors are found the SRS light should go off. RUclips search, 'Mitsubishi SRS Airbag Light MOT Fail How to Fix.'

I have a question cause one of the mechanic disconnected the alarm from my same car but my car now is missing the dash board lights aswell as the radio? I was wondering what should I check to make it work again?

Austen Au If you already have an SRS light showing up, changing the seat belt alone may not reset the SRS light. You might have to use a scan tool to reset it. If you don't have an SRS light now, and just want a new seat belt, unplug the battery will prevent the SRS light from showing up.
in New Zealand if your srs light does not come on then turn off as you start vehicle you wont get a vehicle warrant of fitness which you wont be able to drive the car on the road so removing the bulb is not an option also if your in a accident and the bulb is removed because of a fault in the srs systems and it fails to work you wont be coverd by insurance because of tampering a vehicle safety system
+Victor Rosario I believe it's in the ECU. There are many people trying to get rid of the SRS, some went to the dealership and found no luck on getting rid of it. Some would just take the SRS light bulb off, and some put black tape on the bulb to cover the light from shining. That's as much as I know for fixing the SRS light on Lancers. cheers

Tighten your gas cap, and reset the light. If the light comes back, replace the gas cap.

I think you should check the fuses. There are two fuse boxes. On is under the hood, on is under the steering. cheers

You have to take it to the dealer and they will reset it for you. The airbag system won't work at all unless the light is cleared.
