He wasnt actually looping there, he was doing a joke, the loop wasnt doing anything there, it was all him! Loving the beatbox reactions my man!
The reason he wasn't actually using the loop is because it was against the rules for this particular competition.

It’s because he was battling Rythmind, and during their 2 for 2 battle, Rythmind was the first to do the joke with his loopstation on his second run, being the looper he is. So Dlow clapped back on his second run right after with a fake looping freestyle beatbox routine of his own.
@@GigiRuffa I'm not making things up. There's plenty more people that knew about the controversy surrounding the event. Using a loop station for anything other than a prop, was definitely against the rules.
@@crystalcorley Please, tell me how the controversy you are referring to has any relevance. I just want to see you say it in writing. And then tell me how that translates to the reason why he wasn’t actually using a loop station in a competition that didn’t involve loop stations. I’ve already stated the real reason why he wasn’t actually using the loop station. But I’m curious how deep you go with this lore.
@@GigiRuffa There's no controversy about the loop, the controversy was about the judging and people didn't think D-Low deserved to make it in. ( Please don't take this personal, all this HATE is getting old. Everybody show respect..) ⬅ That's the reason for that particular verse. I know the loop round was a joke and everything was supposed to be raw Beatbox.
The looping part was him pretending to loop while actually doing everything physically with his mouth on the spot. Big flex. Its also in response to the looping joke his opponent made.
Yes yes yes my favorite D-Low video!!!! I'll let the others tell you about him not actually using the loop, but when he was in the final, he said he practiced that routine for 6 hours straight in order to perfect it. 6 hours for a 3 minute routine.

I think it is best to watch the whole battles, not the compilation. The loop station was a rebuttal. The second device also pokes at the looping rules in competitions.

My favourite beatboxer is definitely D-low. But I also really really like River' and recently have started to get into Mr. Android. River' is vice-champ of GBB2021, you should definitely check out his runner-up compilation from there! And Mr. Android is the participant of this year GBB and this year Beatland. My fav is probably his second round wildcard for GBB. It's worth checking.
And from D-low I really suggest Judge showcase from International Throwdown. It's 9 mins of freestyling, and it's mind-blowing!

nah its just there was a lot of people hating on dlow getting into this competition and hating on his opponent in the final cuz they were saying all his beats were the same each time. so in the final they were both saying show respect and all that good stuff.
Not real beef, but people were getting upset because they thought other people did better on their wildcard submissions and deserved it more than D-Low (hilarious, I know) They were claiming that D-Low only got in because of his name and who he is because he gets views and raises the ratings. Um, no, he got in because he's a champion and he's one of the greats. Period. In my opinion, he's the best there is. When he said "The respect goes both ways, man", he was talking to his opponent, Zekka. At the end of Zekka's first round video, he says Respect, bro." That's all that was. There's no beef among the participants. You don't see that in the Beatbox community except for a few rogue fans.
His competitor Zekka said "Respect" to DLow at the end of his round and DLow was just saying "Respect" back.
you need to watch zekka......he is just as crazy as dlow
