  • Theres 2 main shooting modes to shoot with on the DJI Action 4, auto mode and pro mode, within pro mode you can choose normal or D-LOG M as the color profiles. But which one looks best, i took the action 4 to Miami to test it out!

    I was really wondering about this exact thing, I think I would always use Auto outside, but inside in low light I especially is where it gets tricky - thanks for doing this video

    I totally agree with you, Auto seems to give the best balance. Night time would probly be better suited to D-Log with coulour correction and WB .... all in all they all turned out great, but Auto is a touch better, nothing blown out and the colours were vibrant.

      yeah auto really really surprised me with how good it is but defo can’t use it in low light cos the results aren’t good

    If you use ND filter the video will be more cinelike. Missed my Action 1 a lot for this build in feature.

    Hello
    Nice review and Video.
    In Auto Mode, do you reduce sharpness and NR to -2?
    Thanks in advance

    • @james.loxton
      @james.loxton  Месяц назад

      thanks 😎 yes I do! I have them both at -2 pretty much most of the time when shooting

      @@james.loxton Thanks very much for this wuick answer. For snorkeling in good conditions, would you use full auto or Pro Mode - Auto Exposure 100/8000- auto iso100/800 (all in normal color)?

    Looks pretty crisp mate. If you had to choose, which one do you fancy more for walkarounds like this or just vlogs in general the Action 4 or the Ace Pro? I've seen some Ace Pro footage on here and some is kinda good and some looks really rubbish, not sure if the Ace Pro is worth 150€ more (I can grab the Action 4 new for only 330€). Anyway, have a good one. Cheers!

      the ace pro is a great camera but I would personally choose the action 4 as I prefer the look it gives out vs the ace pro

      Thank you for the answer. I picked up the Action 4 yesterday and the image quality to me seems quite mind blowing given the size of the camera. Also really enjoy the colors you can get from it straight from the normal 10 bit profile

      @@elcabeleira6357 What does it mean that the action 4 now has 10bit colour in normal? Does that mean you can just colour grade a lot better now without having to shoot in Dlog-M?

    Bro, how did you select shutter speed range. 1/100 - 1/8000
    I can only set it to a fixed value.

    • @james.loxton
      @james.loxton  10 месяцев назад +1

      make sure ur in pro mode, press the exposure button then make sure it’s on auto and u should see an ‘S’ appear in the top left corner of the screen… press on that and then you’ll be able to select ur shutter speed range. if u get stuck then watch my action 4 low light settings video and you’ll see me show u how to turn it on in that
