You are absolutely correct. I got a free charger from the store and ordered one that was supposedly a genuine Samsung, but it was not. It was blue like you stated and all the other oddities. Also would not charge through the Otterbox case. The real one would. The seller on ebay, "sasaonsale" is selling the fake chargers even though they said in an email they were genuine. Stay away from their's!

I got a fake Samsung Fast Wireless Charger and it came with a fake Adaptive Fast Charging Adapter. When I use them to charge my Galaxy S8, the phone does recognize it as "Fast Charging Wirelessly" and it works like normal. But will using this damage my S8's battery?

I bought the fake one, too (which I didn't know was fake) but it doesn't even charge. it'll give the charge indication, but the percentage goes down. smh, oh eBay.
does it hurt my phone? my fake one cost 5 bucks looks the same, and have green light when not charging.
it pulls 5V2A from my hub. and get almost 40c hot during charging.

Mine has the same color, stickers and non matching S/N as your fake one but mine has no RED led, only Blue and Green and it says Fast Charging Wirelessly when I charge my S7 Edge :-( I'm so confused, don't know if my $16 eBay purchase is fake or not.
you probably got a newer version that has fast charging. this video is a few months old. If it has fast charging, don't even worry about it. They all do the same!
Yes, they updated their fakes, I found another video with the same S/N as mine on their boxes.
I have exactly the same charging pad (right one) which you call fake bought on ebay for $20, the same color, same box, with serial numbers not matching to each other, and it's also not dark black but bluish. But here is a things which does not match with your review: When i put my s7 edge on it,it says fast charging wirelessly and there is no any red light when it's plugged , only blue while charging and green when it's on 100%. Any ideas what kind of charger i own? Should i charge my phone with this charger or it can damage it ? Thank you

no, the iphone will stop charging when it's full, but one of these fake chargers will be much slower at charging compared to an original one

I happen to bought the fake one and there is significant difference. On the back of the charging pad, There's Samsung logo which isn't using Samsung's original font. Fake one has fat 'Arial' kind of font. And yeah it doesn't fast charge at all. Whatever you buy on ebay are pretty much all fake.

i can't say for sure. Ive been using the fake one for a while now without problems...but you never know
One of the easiest things to spot is how the S and G on SAMSUNG are in a different font size on the fake ones. On the original logo only the S is slightly bigger.

This is why I bit the bullet and went Best Buy and got my wireless charger. I spent more but at least I know it's an official Samsung product that works great and not a fake that they are trying to sell for 10 or 20 dollars on ebay.

This still happens in 2020. One of the best ways to compare fake to genuine is to weigh them both. OK, you may not have a genuine one to compare, but try and get hold of one. On recent Samsung fast chargers I have noticed a difference of 60 grams, plus other things but the weight shows you without any doubts

I bought the older model charger (EP-PG920) from eBay seller 'mrersozlu'. Luckily I also have a known genuine one. The genuine one weighs 87g, the fake weighs 57g. The fake also smells like it could catch fire.
Great video and from the information you have provided I now own 2 fake Samsung Fast charge wireless charger. However, I did not return the item as they worked and cost about 1/5 th the price of an original.

Great video thanks. Help me olot. I also found three more difrents. Original almost double weight . Charging port up side down. To take to pieces four screws hide under top silicon ring with original. Fake under bottom round silicon pod. And if it's fast charging pad must have fan making super quiet noise. Regular oem chargers have no fan

I see them on sale on amazon uk for 25 UK pounds, might grab one finally as 50 UK pounds wasnt a very convincing price for me when I got my S7e. I've actually watched your videos on fake vs real S7e before buying one second hand in a so called CeX shop where they resell used tech before I bought it as it costed me a fortune and my carrier didnt have the Edge variant, only the regular S7. The chargers are dispatched by amazon so I would guess that they are genuine products.
Interestingly, I'm pretty sure the one I bought from eBay is a fake one, the sticker on the back is identical to the fake one in the video, and it only cost $8AUD ...
However it does fast charge my S7. Screen says "Fast charging wirelessly" and it charges almost as fast as plugging the phone directly into the fast charge cable

Here's another tip: Buy the charger that actually comes in the original box instead of that white plastic thing.

I got the Wireless Fast Charge dock for Free on Public Holiday promotion (Cambodia Pchum Ben days) when I got my Note 5 Silver Titanium when it was just released that Silver Titanium Edition. My Wireless Fast charge one (it's real one from Samsung) is the same look as your fake one from box to sticker on bottom on the dock, Mainly because the box and sticker is sell or target for ASIA.

I just bought a dual charger from amazon. Was the same price as the sale price from best buy. It was a third party seller. Now I am paranoid. Works really well and works the way it should with samsung devices. I always read reviews before buying on amazon and only buy directly from amazon but slipped this time. It was the exact same black color as my qi samsung chargers from best buy.

many sellers selling fake chargers claim they remove and send without the box to save 'you' postage but really its because as the video points outs, the serial numbers do not match. but the fake chargers also all have the same serial number: RF7G80G9R4WCIS

I had this fake charger, serial number was identical. My S7 did register as 'fast charger' on the phone.

The colouring in mine seems closer to the original as well. My main clue it was a fake (bought it through normal retail channels) was that the fan made so much noise during fast charging (but not during regular charging) I was afraid it would take off... Edit for other who may be in doubt: I received a proper one since. Both box and charger are very close to the fake one (CE markings and all). Practical differences: on the genuine charger, the barcode on the box is a separate sticker on top of the label, not printed on the label itself. It matches the device inside. The label on the device is very similar to the fake one, but the s/n and QRcode are clearly printed separately. The QRcode matches the serial number (it actually doesn't on the fake). Functionally, it acts much faster than the fake, and is dead silent so far.

Yes, both the original and the fake have a fan. I've never heard the fan in the original though...

To anyone who has purchased a fake charger from eBay. Contact eBay (not the seller) and tell them it is counterfeit. You will be refunded and told to destroy the item. You do not have to return the fake item and you can keep it as a free charger courtesy from the scammer.

Hey bro, I think it's not actually a fake. It's the oiginal charher, but not the fast charge. They just changed the engraving. It is a genuine samsung charger, but not the latest one, it's made to look like the latest one.

All Samsung Wireless Chargers from eBay are fake fake fake. * Personal experience. The fan on the fake ones is extremely loud and noticeable. and stops charging after a certain time.

I got 1 paid 45au$ for it on ebay. real or fake it works the same as long as it puts out 1.5a & 5as well as 9v. just check it for duel current which a lot of the real cheap fakes dont have. it's not really a technological miracle & theres not much to making 1. some probably dont have fan in them either.

Redskull yeah it doesn't surprise me hey. does it fast charge or just put out 1a at 5v? I'm sure there is good & bad rip offs. I think with that stuff you have to look at the price & if its too good yo be true you can probably bet that it is. you can bet your not gonna get a fast charger from eBay or the little stall at the market for 5$ but if you know what to look in to &look out for like stuff mentioned the video. I made sure mine had the 9v output as well as 5v & i only bothered looking in to a certain price bracket which wasn't too good to be true.

You are beyond dumb. It's wireless from the charger to your phone.
cn it still charge wireless from the wall to the charger to your phone, so it's completelt wireless like a power bank though? or are there any other products like that because I want to buy one and get the best offer so I hope Samsung can fit my needs, but if not I will be happy with a different on, also would be nice for a company to develop a wireless charger that you don't have to put your phone on but be in proximity with it plugged into the wall or something like that would be amazing!
