The final result of the final game was just about exactly as I expected. But them just getting there is what was great about it. They freaking beat Michigan in a playoff game, that they had no business being able to compete in, let alone win. And they did it. And the run of games they went on to get there was ridiculously entertaining football to watch. I don’t understand how anyone could have watched those games and felt any differently. Which leads me to believe that the people who felt differently, are just the people who didn’t watch those games. They had like 6 or 7 games that they won in the closing possession of the game. They were the most dangerous team in the country in close games entering the final minutes of the game. They just kept finding ways to win over and over and over again. Michigan by all accounts, should’ve beaten the brakes off of TCU. But they kept playing with their food, dragging it out later and later. Then they had to learn the lesson the hard way about what that team was able to do if it was late in the game and they still had a chance. Clearly Kirby Smart paid attention to them well enough to know that. He made damn sure that when it got late in the championship, he could e taken his guys off the field and it wouldn’t have mattered at all. 😂😂

Not a hex... we are more than a decade into this nightmare now... the good news, another coach with HC experience to help SP, some upgrades, a lot of close losses... the defense improved last year, the offense fell apart, before everyone ended up quitting... if the defense can maintain what they did, or even more continue to improve, i think BP can get the offense to average, and that would be huge.. my personal opinion is 8 wins or start over... 🤷.. got to do something to get recruiting up and get NIL coming in..
Exactly. They only lost 4 defensive players so that defense will be a problem for anyone they play. And as long as their QB is decent, they can go very far next season.

It must be more than just winning games because they had a winning record against the SEC and went 4-4 vs the Big 10 in 2023 and nothing changed. As a Texas fan, Im very curios about the game with Michigan. I honestly think we would have beaten Michigan in the playoff even though I wasnt surprised by the Washington loss. Wash waa a terrible matchup for Texas but Michigan was a perfect matchup. The problem now is that the core of the Texas run defense is in the NFL and thats why I think Texas would have won against them last year. Nobody ran on Texas last year.

I don't know how thwir NFL careers will go but Wash was waaay more dangerous of a passing than Michigan. And that was Texas flaw. The Texas d last year would be able to shut down Michigans run better than Michigan would have been able to ahit down Texas offense. My only hesitation in that game would have been Sark getting out coached. Texas would have beaten Wash if Sark had committed to the run like Harbaugh did.

Michigan was the better team than Wash overall but the matchups were drastically different. Im not even saying Texas was the best team but they were perfectly suited to beat Michigan even more so than several teams I'd say were worse than Michigan. In fact, I think Texas was a better team overall than Wash bit I predicted they would lose because I knew it was a bad matchup.

Mike Irwin contradicts himself all the time. At one point last season he was talking about Pittman resigning on his own, then a few weeks later was saying he'd be back. Also talked about how good a hire Enos was when he was hired. Irwin talks to a couple boosters who are very supportive of the athletic department and now rarely says anything that might be considered negative.
