Healing Adirondack play has world premiere this month

  • The Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts presents the world premiere play The Cure: An Adirondack Story by playwright Frederic Glover of Canton, New York.
    Set during the summer of 1936 and earlier, The Cure: An Adirondack Story focuses on a fictional character named Margaret. a writer from New York City, as she seeks “the cure” for her case of tuberculosis at the famous Adirondack Cottage Sanitarium in Saranac Lake. Her story intertwines with the life and struggles of Dr. Edward Trudeau, a driven, deeply compassionate man who devoted himself to finding a cure for the dreaded disease in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
