Nice job with this dehumidifier Jordan. Certainly does the job right and continues to live for many years and hopefully for more time to come. Sure better than the modern peices of junk these days.

These were definitely built much better than today’s appliances for sure. EPA is total BS these days, Especially with appliances and lighting. Excellent job cleaning and fixing that dehumidifier. Hopefully it saves people from buying another new dehumidifier since the new ones break faster. I have two vintage Montgomery Ward dehumidifiers still working perfectly. we bought a Frigidaire dehumidifier back in 2017 for the back bedroom in the basement, and I still have my old ones and I will not get rid of them. That’s why I am glad I didn’t throw them out or even get rid of them in case my Frigidaire stops working.

Fridgidares are likely one of the few brands that still make some decent dehumidifiers yet from what I have seen but it seems they are only getting cheaper though so I don’t expect it to last long.

At 1:05:45. Those do appear to be for dynamic balancing at the factory and I'd imagine they are to counter balance that bolt holding the blade on. Clock the bolt to the opposite side of those nubs and then see if you can statically balance the blade by hanging it from a thread or whatever you have for static balancing.

At 48:37; on the back of the 3-in-1 Oil (the oil you've always used in past videos). The symbols are a large electric motor (has cooling fins on the housing), an pneumatic framing nailer, a fan, and the mower. The only reason I can think of for the mower are the delicate parts around the carburetor, the governor, and throttle control cables.

Regarding the mower. It could be implying the old school dragging cord electric mowers.

@@BobbyS1981 Now that is something I haven't seen in decades. I do remember the mowers with the long extension cords! They did work but, the long cord was a problem.

This reminded me of watching the original Flight of the Phoenix engine start sequence. They had a limited number of shotgun cartridges to start the engine. You guys should look it up on RUclips...

Whats more effective? AC unit or Dehumidifier?

    • @theanti-ledguy9052

Usually dehumidifier because they are designed for that and can remove a good amount of water from the air with relatively low power consumption.
And a dehumidifier can be used all season around while an ac for dehumidifying probably not.
Also depends a lot on the quality of both machines some adsorbs every single drop of water and some just make noise and raise your bills.
