The real life story is worse than the L/O version. The killer, who turned 17 after the teacher was killed, smothered her with her own coat bc he wanted to gift himself a car for his birthday. Absolutely despicable and selfish!
The sad part is there are people who really think like this. there are people so selfish that they would gladly beat or murder someone for even the smallest of prizes to themselves.

If you are gonna steal her car, just steal it, why kill her? Why destroy her family forever? These episodes are such perfect mini movies, I wonder what the budget per episode was? It shows you can achieve perfection on just the tiniest fraction of what Hollywood movies cost.

well you can't compare someone like a public defender to a state prosecutor, there are levels. The rich can afford a great lawyer that knows their job, the poor have to deal with what they can get. You might have the right to an attorney, but it doesn't say you have the right to a good one.
