- On this episode we feature Josh's insanely fast Honda powered Toyota MR2. This is without a doubt one of the fastest street MR2's we've ever seen and experienced! This street legal rocket ship is a 100% TRC approved max effort build pushing over 1100WHP to a Mickey Thompson tire, running 48PSI on a 7275 Turbo... It's an absolute blast of a ride! Josh takes us for a ride and gives a full build breakdown, enjoy!

I mean why not right. K series can get you 450whp without even opening the valve cover Lol. So many to be picked and pulled from pick and pull too into insane. Basically leave with a motor for 500 dollars n on days it’s half off day u can get one for 250 and just boost it and kill most street cars
@@whyumadtho355 k20 heads are not cheap....you can`t get a k20a or k24z engine for cheap. K series performance is still $$$$ The budget K motors are 500 bucks but they do not make the same power.

Yeah, I was especially digging the music, surprised me lol. But we already know TRC is 100% legit.
As a nascar fan from the get go I recognized that the car was parked at homestead Miami speedway, I also the saw the 48 Tunnel which brings back some Jimmie Johnson memories, For those of you who don't know Jimmie Johnson is a 7 Time NASCAR cup champion That retired at the end of 2020 To chase his dream of being an Indycar driver. If you want me to tell you more about NASCAR or Jimmie Johnson all you have to do is ask 😎😎😎
As soon as the video started I knew where the car was sitting too. Went to every NASCAR race there starting in 2002 when it was Federated (not Ford weekend). My kids have been hooked since and my oldest got to meet His favorite driver Dale Jr. the year he retired (last race of his career). Was bummed Homestead is no longer in November. I think we will still go in 2021 to see if the weather is tolerable.

Kyle runs 8.50's, however this mr2 can definitely do 8.50s as well. I think he said best time was 9.1@169. Kyle was 8.50@167, so these to mr2's are very close in power, and they both rev to 9800 rpm.

I used to work with the owner of that MR-2 @ Armstrong Toyota in early 2000's. Had a 500whp Silver Ek hatch back then. Very capable tech.

There are not many cars I would consider trading for my mint condition galant vr4. With factory ac. Running 9s. But this car is one id consider. Clean build very unique and rare. My 2 favorite things in a car.

The K20 is the Jewel of the 4cyl camp, my stock k20a2 now has 456,000mi with nothing more than Mobil 1 and valve adjustments, I’m thinking about boosting it after a full rebuild, I bought it new in 02, the production date on my Rsx is March 02 so I got an early version of the K20
