This processor looks to have the best graphics with their screen ever. I think it would add to the fun, having the virtual gear looking very real, lol. I think the experience of owning it would more closely resemble actually having the gear represented within this unit. Lol.
How does this compare to the hotone ampero or line 6 pod go in terms of amp simulation (specially the fender and marshall amps),audio depth quality of reverbs and modulation ?? Plz tell
I wish the demo showed more how you would use this playing live. Can the foot switches be used to turn just effects on/off without switching to a completely different pre-set?
Just ordered one. Hoping it's better than my hotone ampero which has been collecting dust since march because it won't power on anymore after using it for less than 18 months.
@@music440 let me clarify, I bought it at launch in 2019 and exactly two years later it stopped turning on when the warranty voided. But in reality, I only used it for 18 months because the ampero had dozens of issues with it which only later firmware updates fixed, so I didn't use it for a while in the beginning. Hotone wants me to pay to fix it, which I'm obviously not going to do so I ordered a nux mg 30 instead. Using different 18v psus didn't fix the issue. Never buying a hotone product again.
I’ve had some not so great experiences with Nu-X product’s having reliability issues, it looks good for the price but I couldn’t trust it for my requirements
@Strell It stands for Impulse Response- essentially a snapshot of how something sounds. So you can load an IR of a specific cabinet or microphone for example to run your signal through. The MG-30 also has some acoustic guitar IRs, so you can have your guitar take on the characteristics of the modelled guitar. You can also load your own IRs in most gear including the MG-30- speaker cabs, etc. Say you have an acoustic-electric guitar you want to play live, but it doesn't sound good plugged in (most acoustic pickup systems don't sound much like a guitar in a room sounds). You can record it through a microphone (plugged in with the pickup at the same time) into the unit, and then select that IR to play through live. It will then sound closer to your mic'd guitar. Hope this helps.
I have several NUX pedals… the Cerberus, the Time force, the Mod force and the Atlantic, had them for years, no issues whatsoever. Lots of shows over the years, still going strong 💪🏾 on the other hand, I’ve had some issues with brand new pedals from some of these other “higher end” manufacturers… go figure😂
@@music440 Bud I ain't no kid, I know precisely what I am doing with such equipment. Unless mine was faulty (I don't believe it was) it was a toy that promised a one stop recording box O tricks and delivered less than poor results. I wonder if the MG30 is based on the same firmware, God I hope not?
@@Neil-Aspinall Well I've had just about every piece of gear you can imagine and I must say, this is an incredible value.. maybe you just need to change your strings; makes a huge difference....
The best demo for Nux MG 30 period 👍
This is a great unit for the price very impressive
when the foot switch led is on?
I use it on Bass and F'n love it! 🤘🏾
I own it and it’s AWSOME! Love it great demo Thanks
Can we get service for it anywhere in the world.... Like I'm in India and I'm broke ... Any idea
One year later? Still good?
Excellent review!
Thanks. Good video buddy. I want to buy one now. 😎👍👌💯🎸
2 surprises on the MG30 are that the Drum Machine has some cool features and there is Undo/Redo on the Looper.

Can we make custom patches from scrach? If so, how many slots are available for user patche's?
Yes - you should be able to store 128 patches, iirc.
In Studio Direct mode should I use a balanced TSR or a unbalanced TS cable to connect directly into my mixer?
Balanced
@@music440 The outputs on the MG30 are balanced?
@@trazan1162 no, mono output
you need di box to connect it to direcrtly to mixer
Nux mg30 vs boss gt1 which is better
Both good. I'd go MG30

Hi Juan, the unit ships with an external 2-button footswitch that you can assign to turn your effects on and off without changing patches. :)
I seem to be picking up that this NUX and a couple of other obscure devs who have popped up out of nowhere, are better than Line 6, etc..?
Sounds really good.
vs mx5?
We don't sell those and I'm not familiar enough with the MX5 to give an opinion, sorry!
Do you think this sound better than pod go
Yes

Probably not.
Pay peanuts get monkeys
@@Stoffendous you're not wrong.
Usually, those sorts of issues are a faulty power supply. If it's only 18 months you should contact the place where you made your purchase.

Could you see gigging with this unit?
Absolutely
Costly?
Very affordable
If only it had a XLR output to make it live ready. The sound is already top of the line in its price range though.
Just get 2 XLR to TRS adapters and you're good to go
Pete Thorn wrote a few patches for this hence "PeteT".
gotta love unscripted YT vids 😅
What do the different color LED signals (green, orange) indicate? Thanks for help...
They change between Scenes 1,2 and 3 using the control button. The color LED depends you which scene you are on
@@music440 Thanks a lot!
is it good for playing live
Absolutely. Set your patches up for your gig and you are good to go
Version of wireless coming soon...‼️😝
Ohhhhh !!!!! How did you know that?

I got their Mighty Amp portable model a couple of years ago, still going strong.. and keeps charge for hours.

I found the distortion were unusable. And the gate is no good. These people on RUclips will say anything.

Sorry but most of that sounded cold and brittle to me just like it's little brother MG 300.
Depends what you are listening on and this demo uses the presets only, so EQ it to your own tastes 🙃
