- This footage allegedly shows the inside of a Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter as it performs active service defending Ukraine from Russian forces.
The footage was posted by 'The Armed Forces of Ukraine' to their facebook page.
The footage was captioned with, "Ukrainian pilot filmed and edited a video of combat work of MiG-29 fighter.
"Ivan dedicates this video to his fallen brother Eugene Lysenko, who was heroically killed in an air combat with Russian occupants on March 9.
Let's remember our defenders!"

Damn, they've actually managed to integrate U.S.-made AGM-88s with Soviet-built MiG-29s. Great job. That might be tremendous asset against Russian air defence and contribute to winning air dominance.
I think the credit should go to the U.S. Lockheed Martin. USA has a few MIG-29 and they probably quietly developed a way to make the platform and the missile to work.
a non-NATO aircraft can use only one mode with the AGM-88. NATO-standard upgraded Slovak MIG 29s should be able to use the full potential of HARM missiles. To be confirmed...

even though the Mig-29 is aging, you can see the Ukrainians take good care of it, unlike the Russians who's cockpits and hulls always look dirty, disorganized and unfit for human occupancy. the Ukranians seem to have adopted soviet hardware with better care than the Russians ever did.

MIG29’s weren’t used in the Vietnam war, mostly because they didn’t exist back then.
Russia don’t have any gen 5 fighters either, so the MIG29 matches the MIG29’s that Russia has just fine. Obviously, since they’re still flying after 6 months of war. MIG (Mikojan) is a Russian aircraft designer, as well as Sukhoi is, not “Shuko”

Respect to the brave pilots. In this video for me most interesting is fact, that this mig-29 is carring AGM-88 anti-radar missiles.
Even before the war, Ukrainian defense companies offered to countries who still used the Russian based aircraft to upgrade them to be able to carry the NATO ordinance. This experience is comming in handy these days ;) Btw, these Mig-29 can also carry all range of US bombs and missiles, including the AGM Maverick.

They were firing AGM 88 HARMs, American anti-radiation missiles that are designed to destroy enemy anti-air/search radar. Good integration of American missiles on soviet jets.
not really integrated, they sorta half duct tape them onto the pylons and they are preprogramed as the MIG-29 cant take the targeting pod
@@nickmccombe5637 You do not require a targeting pod to fire AGM 88s as the missiles have track sensors. The HARM pod does help triangulate the radar source but it's not compulsory.
@@mikes989 no, that's just a GPS receiver, not some tablet with 88 integration. You'd need full 1760 bus wiring and compatible avionics for such integration and its just not feasible.

Amazing flying. He goes from about 1000m to about 20m in a steep bank in about 4 seconds. Brings back memories. We used to fly just above the tree tops in Angola to avoid Soviet SAMs and small arms from the ground. Got hit once by a few AK47 rounds, I think we actually just flew into them.
