thank you Frank! =) Yesss! I found that guitar and was like: Wow what a cool match! And then the guitar actually was perfect in EVERY WAY! That was such a nice surprise! =)
Motörhead - Orgasmatron Kreator - Golden Age Sepultura - Amen Sepultura - Inner Self Metallica - For whom the Bell tolls Megadeth - Symphony of Destruction Judas Priest - Starbreaker Dio - Holy Diver Rage against the Maschine - Killing in the name off Black Sabbath - N.I.B.
For me it was Trooper, Breaking the Law, War Ensemble, Symphony if Destruction, Master of Puppets, Seven Nation Army, Paint it Black and London Dungeon.
Top 10: 1. I approve of Slipknot making the list, but I feel Duality would've been a better choice. No real reason, I just like it more. 2. For the same reason, I'd put Aerials by SOAD over Sugar. 3. Blink-182's Dammit is actually a really useful song. Gets beginners used to jumping around a shape, helps basic coordination, and doesn't sound too noob-like. 4. A large number of Foo Fighter songs could be used, but my pick would be Everlong. It's just my favorite. 5. Hurt by Johnny Cash. Not even a rock song technically but it's really important. It would show a beginner that a song doesn't have to be soaked in distortion, effects or even an electric guitar to be great. It proves that acoustics have a place in meaningful songs and that there can be beauty in simplicity. Don't be afraid to strip it down. 6. Riot by Three Days Grace. Sounds super cool, not terribly difficult, and its a really good introduction to swapping between shapes and their inverses at a moderate pace. 7. Fortunate Son, CCR. Iconic, fun, sounds great, and good practice for sliding around the neck and finding your place again. 8. Killing In the Name, Rage Against the Machine. Super groovy, yet pretty heavy. Gets you used to following a beat in a real easy way that isn't boring. 9. Say it Ain't So, Weezer. Very light version of sweep picking, switching between clean and distortion, and genuinely fun to play. 10. Crazy Train. Absolutely not a beginner song, BUT, I think it's a great long-term guitar goal. The song is full of vital techniques for the player to be exposed to, and mastering (or at least getting the gist) of it would teach a beginner a fair amount. it's a difficult song and it makes for a great milestone. As if to say "Upon completion, you graduate from beginner to amateur" kinda thing.
Dammit Jassy, now you're going to make me get my guitar out and actually start learning how to play lol I love the top 10 format, hope to see more coming up! 🤘💀🤘
@@JassyPabst I've had one for about 3 years and I just could never get into learning it. Although I did learn the opening for "Enter Sandman" (couldn't play a note now lol). 🤘💀🤘
Haha. Wrocking Wednesdays. I like it! I love how you're always trying to encourage beginners and share the joy of guitar. Fun video, and those were some nice choices. Hmm. I don't know that I can do 10 off the top of my head, but here's a few suggestions: Pretty Fly for a White Guy, Symphony of Destruction and A Tout Le Monde by Megadeth, My Michelle by GnR, Paranoid, Seek and Destroy, and AC/DC's It's a Long Way to the Top.
That's so true! Actually Seven Nation Army was most fun for me in this one!!! First time I could play this song properly as I didn't even know it's not in Standard Tuning when I started playing guitar 😂
Good selection, Jassy! 🤘 I would recommend the following songs for guitar beginners: Warriors of the World - Manowar Kings of Metal - Manowar Breaking the Law - Judas Priest Living After Midnight - Judas Priest For Whom the Bell Tolls - Metallica Enter Sandmann - Metallica Melancholy - Iced Earth Flight of Icarus - Iron Maiden Shout at the Devil - Mötley Crüe Symphony of Destruction - Megadeth
I talked about that riff towards the end! =) But actually it's also a riff I tried at the beginning and it was quite okay. Mind that no riff sounds too decent when a beginner plays it. The idea was to show riffs that still sound cool when you first try them =)
Then there isn't something like an easy riff ;) I meant it in a way that even if you are a beginner and you are playing those riffs they still sound pretty decent even if you don't have that much experience.
@@JassyPabst they sound decent the way you said just for beginners. A person can be beginner even if he/she have been playing for 30 years (i.e. Kirk Hammet, Slash, Kerry King etc).
Let me get that straight. You are seriously telling those people are beginner guitar players? xD Slash is an iconic guitarist with a unique playing style. What are REAL guitar beginners thinking of such an opinion?

I reall like that you put the tuning up. You chose really good riffs for beginners, easy and fun. Ain't talkin bout love put a smile on my face. Great job!!
A good one is toxicity from system for bass and guitar I learned schism for my first song and then I stumbled on toxicity and only took me a few minutes than weeks
I started out playing guitar when I was about 5 years old. The very first song I learned was Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne. It took me quite awhile to master it but I progressed into it. Here I am at age 45 I'm now have two bands I'm currently joining and created my own band right here in Fountain Inn SC. Seven Year Witch and KIKSTART.
Great video Jassy! 😀🎸🎶🤘 Enjoy the gig tonight, a couple of mine would be: Green Day - Basket Case (Eb tuning) Velvet Revolver - Slither (main riff) (Drop D tuning) A couple of others that are beginner friendly but can be fast are a couple of bass guitar riffs that could be played on guitar, which is something I like doing: Muse - Hysteria (Standard tuning) the verse riff Jamiroquai - Deeper Underground (Standard tuning) main riff Fleetwood Mac - The Chain (famous bass line used as F1 theme in the UK) (Standard tuning). I know it's a bit different but it opens up to different riffs as well, so the ones I've chosen are quite beginner friendly.
Ooh, Muse! Knights of Cydonia is another good one. Apart from that one fast picking part, the rest is pretty easy and super fun, especially the awesome outro riff.
Van Halen got songs in every difficulties. Everything from easy songs like Runnin' with the devil, ain't talkin bout' love, dance the night away too hard 5150, without you, mean street etc. The funny thing is that if you start to learn his easy songs, the harder songs becomes easier because he is basically using the same techniques in most of his songs. but when it comes to solos, get long fingers and a good stretch haha, I am still trying to get the human beings solo without crying out in pain.
That's true! If you understood one style, then it's easier for you to learn =) However I am frustrated with my tiny fingers when trying to play Van Halen stuff hahaha
@@JassyPabst I think you're an amazing guitarist and even with your tiny fingers, it makes it even more impressing. I couldn't play half the stuff that you are playing. I've played for about 7 years now and still I have no clue how to read music sheets. It's really hard for me to learn it for some reason. Do you have any tips on how you learned it?

It's been a while since I watched your videos. Didn't realize how much I missed. Thank you for this. I'm a beginner and I should be practicing these riffs instead of trying to jump into extreme metal haha. I guess in 10 years I'll be able to play 'Nothing Left" by As I Lay Dying. Pretty cool and hard song. Love it if you'd do a cover! Also, I really like your voice
@@waterproof4403 my advice would be to start playing your FAVOURITE SONGS slowly right now,and within a few months you'll be able to play it,and also play the easy stuff on the side. I'm self taught and that's what i did,and has worked pretty well for me . I found it easy to keep me motivated while learning my favourite songs.
"Brain Stew" from Green Day "Break Stuff" from Limp Bizkit "Paranoid" from Black Sabbath The theme song for Adventure Time "TNT" from AC/DC "Come as You are" from Nirvana "Du Riechst So Gut" from Rammstein "Mama Kin" from Aerosmith "April 29, 1992" from Sublime "For Whom the Bell Tolls" from Metallica 10 more possible songs for beginners! 🤘
@@JassyPabst Well, I listed "Du Riechst So Gut" because of all the Rammstein somgs, that one might be the easiest. The only thing that might trip up a beginner is the tempo lol But thank you!!
Thank you Sean! =) Though we have trouble with Oversense now (my band)... Thanks to Corona most shows have been cancelled and we don't know when the labels will reply as we sent our second album to a bunch of them to apply :( bummer....

Echt nice. Wenn ich sehen könnte, wenn du von dissection - reinkaos spielen könntest...:). Geniale melodische band, die leider nicht mehr besteht. Mal reinhören, genießen und nachspielen :). Sehr geile Melodien und soli. Riff em' all :D
Ich kenne die Band jetzt nicht wirklich xD Aber wenn Zeit ist, höre ich mal rein =)
guitar color go good with air style .... this guitar sounds amzing and nice cover !
Thank you =)The guitar is a beast when it comes to clear sound!
@@JassyPabst a nice piece of wood with good mic ...
What about a brain drill song I play them and I’ve only played guitar 1 week
PERFECT beginner riffs! You rock on 👍❤🎸
I was like "Sugaarrrr" at 4:51
Hell yeah! =D
Love the ibanez
It's been a while since I watched your videos. Didn't realize how much I missed. Thank you for this. I'm a beginner and I should be practicing these riffs instead of trying to jump into extreme metal haha. I guess in 10 years I'll be able to play 'Nothing Left" by As I Lay Dying. Pretty cool and hard song. Love it if you'd do a cover!
Also, I really like your voice
Thank you!!! =D Well I do plan to do an As I Lay Dying cover! Also cool to hear you found your way back! =)
@@JassyPabst ♥️ thank you 😁
@@waterproof4403 if you practice regularly it'll only take 1 or 2 years.
@@ajithav2011 I appreciate it bro.
I'll be sure to remember this comment.
I loved your top, very complete for my level, start practicing..!hi!!! from Panama
Cheers to Panama! =)
"Brain Stew" from Green Day
"Break Stuff" from Limp Bizkit
"Paranoid" from Black Sabbath
The theme song for Adventure Time
"TNT" from AC/DC
"Come as You are" from Nirvana
"Du Riechst So Gut" from Rammstein
"Mama Kin" from Aerosmith
"April 29, 1992" from Sublime
"For Whom the Bell Tolls" from Metallica
10 more possible songs for beginners! 🤘
Actually some Rammstein riffs really demand some rhythm consistency - not THAT easy for a beginner =) But great list!!!
For whom the bell tolls is easy because it mainly bass
@@JassyPabst Well, I listed "Du Riechst So Gut" because of all the Rammstein somgs, that one might be the easiest. The only thing that might trip up a beginner is the tempo lol
But thank you!!
That was great!!! Keep on rockin!
🤘🤘🤘🤘
Perfect top 10 you could play those riffs with your eyes closed😁❤, i can play all those songs i feel very cool 😂
Awesome Helena! =D These are indeed cool songs ;)
You are what made me wanna learn guitar. You play with so much soul, and passion, I love it! Keep up the great work! :D
So awesome to hear! =D I wish you loads of success on your own journey =)
Of course no list can be without Metallica. But what about psychosocial and unsainted.
Both of them totally are no beginner riffs ;) Pinch Harmonics aren't something for beginners xD
@@JassyPabst yes indeed you are right
I loved this vid, I nie have more songs to practice. Thanks for the great vid.
Glad to hear =)
Ok now her is my new crush
Intelligent, talent, funny and beautiful? Thats dont find anywhere
How do you know about my intelligence? =P I am halfway blonde haha
Love all of ur cover songs and hope you stick with it and that whatever band you play for make it big
Thank you Sean! =) Though we have trouble with Oversense now (my band)... Thanks to Corona most shows have been cancelled and we don't know when the labels will reply as we sent our second album to a bunch of them to apply :( bummer....
@@JassyPabst yea unfortunately this coronavirus is hurting alot of bands and business but it will pass
How to get kicked out of guitar center.
Btw: nice sounds 😊
xD You won't get kicked out with Slipknot ;)
JJ's One Girl Band but you have to maximize volume 😄
Awesome video Jassy 😊👍👍
thank you =)
Could you play Not Long For This World - Slipknot? I will be very happy Hehehe
I got way too many requests =( Check out my Patreon page for guitar cover votings =)
Awesome Video! Great selection, variety in tunings, and right into the action. love it!
that makes me really happy to hear! =)
Ace of spades by motörhead. This was the first riff i've ever learnt.
that one is also very tasteful! =)
@@JassyPabst yes it is. It's very easy to play tbh. Now i can play the whole song and a lot of other motörhead songs so i'm very proud of myself 😊
GIRL! YOU ARE AMAZING!!!
🔥🔥🔥
Teacher the riffs are gonna be easy the riffs:
To be really really honest:
Volbeat - Heaven Nor Hell
Your guitars are always really nice!
And they sound nice 😃
Kudos for playing Iron Man in the proper position.
haha thanks Glenn!
Really cool Jassy!! 😊
=D
Very wonderfull, you're a queen of the guitar. 🤘
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
I love how you play the guitar, a goddess
If you haven't played these then your not into metal. 🤘
So right ;)
Gatekeeping much
that touches my heart
🔥🔥🔥
The more simple riff gets the more easier it is for me to mess up. Anyone else lol?
It's the problem because you don't have that many other notes to cover up potential mistakes haha
*Very amazing! I like how you shake your head while playing guitar;)*
It's headbanging and really common when you feel what you play =)
The moment when left behind enters the chat
This song is a lot of fun to play 🔥
In your guitar progress videos, the Hell Song by Sum 41 is one I saw pop up quite a lot, so that's one of the things that's inspired me to try practicing that song! I've been learning for about 3 months, cause that's when I started taking lessons.
Awesome to hear, Brennan! =D Hope you get far on your journey!!! =)
