In reference to a couple of points on this video:- I have a cupboard with drawers that don't use handles so this may help you for the side drawers... the side of the cupboard where it meets the drawers has a channel cut out on the leading edge. This exposes the back side of the drawers allowing you to get your fingers around behind the back and pull it forward. The channel runs from almost the bottom of the bottom drawer to almost the top of the top drawer. The channel is not full depth so there's still material to slide the drawer back against and stop.- For the centre drawers, you might consider rare earth magnets at the back ends.As always, love your work and can't wait to see your next systainer adaptation.
It turned out really well. Looks like we'll ge at least one more video on how you solve the problem. Great work. Hope I can do as well on my try at this build.
Sorry we missed out on the final build video (or near final). Back mounted magnets will do the job for the center draws. I don't know what kind of space is available but what about spring loading the side draws from behind and having a push button release to allow them pop out. Another simple fix would be to have a thin dowel or metal rod inserted from the top of the box through the side draws to the bottom. The hole for the dowel/rod in the draws would have to be a block so anything in the drawer couldn't cover the hole. It would require you to pull the dowel/rod to gain access and reinsert to lock them. I'm sure you will come up with a clever solution for the fix. We are looking forward to it so don't delete your video on it LOL :o)
Sorry to have not been able to see the final build of the front draws the toolbox looks wonderful and I think it could be used in other projects, It would be nice if you had some plans for it it looks sting and lightweight :-)
Few ideas: The side drawer can still self-open if it will contain stuff in it, so you probably need some fixation for it. I think using an arch in the side of the box (like you said in the video) or in the side area of the front drawers themselves would be my choice. Magnets could be a candidate for closing drawers, but it could affect items (like screws) in sortainer.
Good point about magnets attracting small metal bits inside the drawer. However if the magnet is close the the front of the drawer and some bits are attracted to it it may be a good thing since those bits will not slide down to the back of the drawer and become harder to get
Yes, side metal clips, that use friction to keep the drawers closed. Something like this www.ebay.com/itm/Craftsman-Waterloo-Matco-tool-box-drawer-slide-flat-spring-clip-retainer-M1363-/301950128684
I vote for finger-holes in the sides. Keep the front clean. as for drawer locks, magnets is what comes first to my mind but as another comment pointed out, that could affect the contents in the drawers.
The mechanism for the front drawer could use the same push down method as the side drawer. But this time instead of a 1mm raised lip that runs the full width of the drawer as you have on the side drawer, cut out a 1mm recess at the start of the front draw sides at the top. Above, add a small block glued to the case that would fit into the recess that you notched out. Allowing enough gap to allow the pushing down. Sorry, difficult to explain with words but I can see it working. For the front side draws left and right you could glue small strong magnet at back of case and corresponding strong magnet at back of draw so it stays closed unless you pull it a little.
Halvard.

Chris Salomone (Today, I'm finally making good on that promise by partnering with Woodcastle
Або придбати щось таке: g01.a.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1UCWxIVXXXXaAaFXXq6xXFXXXZ/81-52mm-Furniture-accessories-label-box-Drawer-cabinet-doors-Shell-Zinc-alloy-handle-Handle-business-cards.jpg
Here is an option to consider: www.ebay.com/itm/Single-Catch-Magnetic-Touch-Latch-For-Cabinet-Doors-W-Plates-and-Screws-/252207942445?hash=item3ab8c3cb2d:g:IIYAAOSw7FRWadu6 You wouldn't need handles then. I don't know if they make this type of push magnetic latches small enough for you though.
Perhaps you could install the push button magnet inside the drawer, sticking out through the hole towards the metal plate installed on the interior side of the susteiner's back wall...
The more I watch your channel, the more I'm amazed. Excellent work!

necessarily!
Love it, great job. you have pushed the boundary (magnets were my first thought too).
thick felt applied to the drawer sides or the mating carcass sides would be light and effective, this technique has worked quite well for me.

I like your idea for side finger pulls for the small boxes.
for this time I don't see better way
Beautiful!
really?)
Yes
Great work! And great Bierkönig shirt ;) молодец
Thank you!)
DO YOU HAVE PLANS FOR THIS? VERY NICE STUFF YOU HAVE

Your vote is counted Bill!) Thank you!
really lke the box Mirock!👍
Thank you my friend!
Thank you my friend!
better than the original

No problem, I understood after twice reading). I'm not so good englishman).
You could install steel plates behind the small drawer faces and use a strong magnet as a pull to open them.
This decision is the best
Side handles (side holes) will be the best decision
I agree
Amazing! 😁

Spring roller catch at the back of the drawers?
what spring roller do you mean, from what?

Understood! Old school).
Because if it's ain't broken don't fix it! :)
Fun box turned out
EXECELLENT WORK!!!
Thanks!)
I love it Пожалуй стоит задуматься :):):(

An easy option: a magnet on the back of each box, with a piece of steel on the wall behind it.
Yes, I see a lot of suggestions like this. It seems this way is simplest and the best one
super projet
I love it
too long) thank you!
I want one!
I also want but still can't finish it). Thank you!
I would suggest magnets but that still leaves you with thousands of choices on how to do it. great channel :>)
Yes, too much choice sometimes makes task more difficult
too many choices also adds to covering up mistakes :>)
Neodynium magnet is certainly the good way...
My first thought was to add magnets to the back of the drawers and the back of the sortainer itself. Would be interesting to see what comes out of it.
amazing!
Thank you!
Magnets will work for drawer closure.
agreeed
)))
cool
That was a wonderful accident jajaja XD
Yeah, it is really so))
