I think the group you were referring to is the Thunderbirds. They flew the F-5 Freedom Fighter jets and were\are similar to the Blue Angels. Some great classic games in that place that's for sure. Thanks for the video John!
John, the masses have spoken, you have to do a video down there at TNT with Todd. He seems like a good guy, and who knows, you might make a new connection! Only a 5 hour drive for you! 300 miles
OMG!! Why didnt I think of that question :) YES!! That would be something to see. Todd seems like such a down to earth guy, and TNT takes so much pride doing their restorations.
The odd blue cabinet with street fighter 2 was from a series of cabinets that were made for Circle K convenience stores. One of my pcb hook ups told me this. He had two of them and I was going to purchase one. The cool thing about them is the monitor can be flipped from horizontal to vertical by simply pulling it out, flip it 90° and slap it right back in.
yo john thanks for showing me this place I live like 15 to 20 minutes from that place ..ive actually done that drive that you showed in the intro going to the arcade warehouse where you go by those big mountains and big rock formations 3:25 that are right by the road when your going right into chatsworth its a little tense going down those roads especially at night ..anyway ill definitely be checking that place out on the weekend and who knows maybe ill pick up my first arcade machine ..
I think that blue cabinet was made for a theater chain. Everything is installed in the pull out drawer including the marquee and control panel. You can swap out games by swapping the drawer. The monitor can also be turned as well.
Hey John i enjoy your Videos soooo much its like i am going with u guys as well and just having a good time doing something we love and that is Video game related stuff,i am around your Age so i can relate to most of the stuff and the Love u got for the Arcades,i would like to see some more actuall playing of some games whenever that's possible. Keep up the good work m8
That Royce's Arcade is pretty cool, I'm not too far away from LA. I might have to check that out on a Sat. and play their games. Great vid man. Point Blank is a really fun game, I used to play that at a pizza place I used to work at.
wow that warehouse was filled with games i would like to own^^ and thanks for playing that dedicated sky target, i´ve never seen one, that cabinet is a beast =)
I actually met Warwick Davis a while ago, He lives in Cambridgeshire near where I live and he turned on the Christmas lights at a shopping arcade event I went to, I managed to get him to autograph an old Star Wars VHS I'd had laying around the house and had the odd idea to bring it with me for the event as something a bit odd for him to sign.
Raining in LA?!?! If you are somehow able to anchor the top of the table to a wall, you'll be all set. In my opinion though, the wobbly table adds character! :)
5;34 OMG that's the coolest service I'v ever heard of. A arcade in your house for $100 a month is a million dollar idea. I live to far away though. Would it be Uncool to tell my local arcade here in Lincoln City called "Game Over" about this idea. I know he has an extra arcade laying around and $100 a month to rent. It makes owning at least 1 cabinet affordable for a wider range of budget's (Which is SWEET!)
Willow was on the NES but NOT that version. It was a totally different game. More RPG in nature. Movie based games are weird like that in they have so many different versions on every media they are found on even though they are based on the same movie. Anyway fun tour yet again. Always cool to see behind the scenes like this and of course it was great advertising for them. They should have been more than happy to let you play all the free games you want. You are a popular youtuber now :P
MAN I was hoping you’d figure out to hold the attack button down on Willow to get the special attacks, and then get to the Mad Martigan levels. That was probably the best Capcom platformer of all time. Was like Ghouls n Ghosts, Strider and D&D all put together.
On the topic of shooting games. I'm surprised you didn't mention Silent Scope. You point it out every time you see one "in the wild". I actually own one and it has great replay value. There is a Shooting Range "mini game" that just has you hone your skills on a virtual shooting range. Very fun!
Some cool stuff at Royce's. Picked up The Kill Screens CD from Amazon.com. Good stuff, John! BTW, I've got Gravitar up and running and in the Flux Capacitor Arcade. Video on my channel.
LOLl, That table has always bother'd me to but I've never had the nerve to say anything about it lol felt weird to say something. But I will never stop watching just cause a wobbly table, RETRO-4-LIFE!!
Great that you do these videos in fareness John because you probably have seen most machines by now but for me I just love these videos cause there like a fly on the wall view of are past. We all remember hanging on the shoulders of people playing these games well as kids and not having enough money to play long enough !! By the way I loved the willow in the dynamo cab, how much was it?? :)
Hey John that blue red white and blue fighter in the Sky Target game is from the Thunderbirds, which is the air forces version of the Blue Angels. Another great video - that Willow game was pretty cool I am going to have to check it out in MAME.
John great video! Your always so upbeat and happy! lol. I was happy to see that bubble bobble game. I love that game so much. I want that to be my first cabinet I get. Online they are selling for around $2500 restored which seems like a lot to me. Would there be a cheaper way for me to build one? Any advice I would appreciate! Thanks....
Hey John, Perhaps your table absorbs shock. Just like a skyscraper swaying in the wind or in an earthquake... I say leave it, It has become a trademark of your show.
There were two different games with the 7-up Spot; the platformer was Cool Spot on the SNES and Genesis. The arcade game apparently is similar to the NES game, which is more or less a board game similar to Reversi.
John i love the videos ive watched every one been a fan for a while now. i watchd one once when you read out a message about your drinking in your videos and you sed it wasnt a problem for you . but its clear now at 49 mins in this video you was clearly ssslllliiiring your words and was that a little wobble lmao you go man i love ya man dont donate people its feeding his habbit lol
Adults like a beverage at night. You fly to LA and do an awesome warehouse review and then fly back all in under an hour and see if you don't need a drink 😁
freddy krueger "He has a clear drinking problem that became a lot more evident in his more recent podcasts. Starting with the podcast that featured him talking about Greg from Arcade Impossible as if he stole a board from John when he clearly didn't. John was drinking soo much that he clearly forgot about e-mails between him and Greg talking about the price for the board set before the transaction ever happened. He was called out on his attitude and obvious drinking problem after that podcast. There is an obvious reason he is "taking a break from Tito's". He was clearly drinking it more often than he lets on. He went from "an adult who can drink when and how much he wants" to "I'm taking a break from Tito's" within a week". He was going on and on about his great health during his podcast. Remember when he fainted for no reason during the summer? Stuff like that tends to happen when you mix alcohol with energy drinks. There's nothing healthy at all about the way this guy drinks. Going to a gym 5 days a week means nothing when you mix together drinks like that and down it like it's water. He has a problem. He knows it and can't admit it like an adult should. He laughs it off or makes excuses like "I'm an adult I can do what I want" or "I need this whine to sleep good tonight". FFS how often has there been a can or a glass of beer sitting on the table when he is doing a restore? Ever noticed that? Keep in mind those are hours of video cut into 1 or 2 hours. Who knows how much alcohol he kills during one video session. More than "a couple sips" I'm sure." freddy krueger Dude you have no idea what you are talking about. I can't believe I am even going to defend myself, but here we go. #1 - I rarely drink beer. A few times a year (like at Grinkers). I don't drink during my restores. If there are empty beer bottles in my arcade they are usually left by my singer who brings over a six-pack every Monday when we get together. Or if they are in the garage it's left by friends who come over often. NOT ME. #2 - My fainting episode was absolutely stress related. You have no idea what I was going through at the time with work and my dog that was diagnosed with lymphoma. He had his first chemo treatment the day I fainted. I love that dog and that compounded with work stuff really got to me. #3 - You don't know what you are talking about with Gregg. He is my friend and he got the ribbing. Go ask him what he thinks about the conversation. And, how was I called out? #4 - I have been podcasting for ten years and have chilled on drinking on them because I don't like how I feel the next day. Lately, I let loose every now and then and do drink - so what. If you have such a problem with me why are you watching my vids? I am what I am.
Hey John I am moving to LA from the UK in January.....I cant wait I need to visit that warehouse and I hope to get more active in the Arcade cab community....I am currently a retro game collector console-wise but I would really love to get into Cab restoration :) If you ever set up a meet and greet in LA please make me aware.
John's Arcade Game Reviews & Tech Cool I look forward to meeting up one day :) I am a 3D Artist in the Games Industry so I game for a living and retro game in my spare time...gotta love it :) www.richardpipespiper.com/

talking about gun games, you left out one that you have talked about a couple times. Carnevil!!!!! you have talked about getting this game for a couple years. I was controversial and I know you love that aspect. I own this game and the cabinet is sick with the art work and the pump shotguns as the guns. Please look into this and the difficulty of this game is unreal. Not unbeatable like area 51 site 4 (which I own as well) but fun every time you play it.
John I'm guessing you travel for work a lot. Either that or you really love to travel great distances to look at arcade games. Love your videos by the way.
John always wants people to use mala as front end for mame. Hyperspin is much superior. So the lowest these guys will go it's 800? Why wouldn't they sell one of the less restored cabs?
Franco Avila they are high but it is retail. They have employees, insurance, etc. They also could help with fixing stuff if something breaks. So, I cut them some slack as they are not a private guy on Craig's List that will leave you stranded.
It's not called Royce's Arcade Warehouse. You see the name ROYCE on that sign at 3:34? If the guy from your last California video is the owner, then why isn't his name on it? This Royce seems more like a manager and not one that should have his name attached to it like he owns the place. Now if he's a partner that owns part of the business then that would make sense, but I doubt he is at all. These guys seem shady as hell. Especially when you pay attention to how he acted when you asked about the Skate Kid marquee. He acted strange when questioned about it, like he was about to play it off as original until you started to show you have real knowledge about arcade games and he admitted very quickly to it being a repro and how they do their own repro's like he didn't want that known to anyone. I wouldn't go near these guys. 100 dollars a month to rent a game? LMAO If you really believe that's a good deal, you're drunk off your ass.
Royce's Arcade Warehouse was cool John! What about the baby Willow part, had me dying dude.I loved that movie. Classic!
I think the group you were referring to is the Thunderbirds. They flew the F-5 Freedom Fighter jets and were\are similar to the Blue Angels. Some great classic games in that place that's for sure. Thanks for the video John!
Another great video glad to folks restoring classics!
John, have you ever gone down to TNT Amusements? I would love to see a video of you visiting there place
That'd be one hell of an "interesting" video lol :D
Between TNT's owner and John that would be an awesome video lol
I'd like to see that!
John, the masses have spoken, you have to do a video down there at TNT with Todd. He seems like a good guy, and who knows, you might make a new connection!

Realmasterorder Yes, I agree. I need to play the games more. I purposely played the games in this video. I feel like we need to play them too!
Those dedicated Mappy cabinets are awesome! Mappy itself is awesome!
That Royce's Arcade is pretty cool, I'm not too far away from LA. I might have to check that out on a Sat. and play their games. Great vid man. Point Blank is a really fun game, I used to play that at a pizza place I used to work at.

Thanks a lot! :)
Yeah Baby!!! love these travel videos!
Excellent video as usual John!!
wow that warehouse was filled with games i would like to own^^ and thanks for playing that dedicated sky target, i´ve never seen one, that cabinet is a beast =)
Great video!
Cool too see you in front of the camera, hope you continue to pop up on screen in future videos as well :)
Merry X-mas in advance :D
Svante Skoog Thanks, Svante! Merry Christmas!
Right now, they moved to our location by the mall in Woodland Hills which opens by this Summer.
Love your videos..always looking forward to the next one..

original cabinets, this is very good !!
Someday I would like to come back to L.A. and check this and Gene’s arcade warehouse out.
That Sega Sky Target sitdown you played seemed like a successor to Afterburner.
I live very close to Chatsworth. I'll have to check this place out.
You should have purchased willow, love those type of games . Love the vids where you go to these places full of old machines :)
Omg Jon is out of the witness protection program. I've watched so many of your videos and this is the first time I've seen your face!
John and Mr Tuckey would be epic.I bought a Gorf and a Ice Cold Beer from TNT and they are awesome..

MAN I was hoping you’d figure out to hold the attack button down on Willow to get the special attacks, and then get to the Mad Martigan levels. That was probably the best Capcom platformer of all time. Was like Ghouls n Ghosts, Strider and D&D all put together.
John as a arcade afficionada you should always carry a roll of quarters in your front pocket. If nothing else the ladies may talk to ya more!
Love the videos, keep up the good work and yes I would love to see you visit TNT Amusements as well.
I would like to do this too. Maybe I'll take a drive down to Philly this winter.
I would love to see that as well.
Todd and John on screen together would be a blast :)

You should get a Point Blank John, it would make a great party game. Great vid as usual :)

The song at 32:41 sounds like Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)
If you are ever in the bay area in California you should check out the Santa Cruz boardwalk
I actually like the whobbling table. It's been in so many of the videos it will seem sad not seeing it.
Hey John that blue red white and blue fighter in the Sky Target game is from the Thunderbirds, which is the air forces version of the Blue Angels. Another great video - that Willow game was pretty cool I am going to have to check it out in MAME.
Yes! That is it, the Thunderbirds! I had that model kit!
John great video! Your always so upbeat and happy! lol. I was happy to see that bubble bobble game. I love that game so much. I want that to be my first cabinet I get. That Street Fighter II looks like it was modeled after a Neo Geo gold.
Neo Geo mini on the left near the entrance! This is in my hood.
use some wire to tie the foot rest to one of the lags , it be crooked then re-level it with the lag coster adjustments :) Done
Thanks for reading my viewer mail!!
100 bucks a month for a game!!! I'm IN!!! I'm in Chicago but I would pay 100 bucks for a different game every month.
thomascampr yeah, it's a cool idea, isn't it?
Did I just hear a remix of Journey's Separate Ways at the end? If that is, I LOVE IT!!!!
***** Kind of. :) We did a song called "What a Trip". It was a Journey inspired song. Good ear. :) soundcloud.com/thekillscreens/what-a-trip-premix1
Thanks, being a fan of the band myself as well. Separate Ways and Don't Stop Believing are my most favorite Journey songs.
My vote for point blank. Has to be one of, if not my top game ever
Love your white watch..can you tell me the make and where you got it from..my wife wants to get me one,if possible, for my birthday in January..thank you.

Oh, cool! Looked like a neat game!
Hey John, do you know anyone with a welder? Maybe you could weld the bottom of that table pole to stop the wobble.
go watch divingbuddy warehouse raid back in August 2015 in utah there was free arcade machines with boards still inside them there might be stuff still left or maybe divingbuddy might be able to put you in the right place because you like fixing machines up to put them back right or make them work again
If I lived in the area I would do the $100 deal for sure. Wonder if they would do 3 games per month for $200? I would love to have some classic games but I lack the knowledge to keep them in order. I could learn I think but it would be a huge time commitment. That system solves that issue perfectly.
Please Shore up that fucking table, John! It's driving me nuts LOL!
Oh sweet, viewer mail has gone official!
John I love Time Crisis games, House of the Dead game and the Terminator shooters, how about you get one of those
The jets are called The Thunderbirds.
YES!! That is it! :)
Great vid. How much is the Atari Black and White Football game at 21:05? Do you know if it's working?
I have no idea! :)
Any ballpark price?
I think Braid must have borrowed a lot from the Willow game.
talking about gun games, you left out one that you have talked about a couple times.
I've talked about it. never really wanted one. :)
Speaking of controversial gun games, what about Chiller?? The Exidy shooters are awesome!
Yep, I think John needs a Multi-Exidy. I've always liked the Cheyenne cabinet. One for sale on KLOV in RI right now John... :-)
John I'm guessing you travel for work a lot. Either that or you really love to travel great distances to look at arcade games. Love your videos by the way.
Triple windshield wipers!!!!!!!
wow im gonna have to go i live close by
Yoooo I love that game for a game idea
Just visited there
That skate kid marque looks like the super Mario marque I gave you
That's uber rare dude 😎👍
the marquee you gave me or the skate kids one?
John: You were thinking of the Thunderbirds that fly the F16 stunt jets. The Blue Angels fly F18s.
Correct
I thought Gridiron Fight was a color game? Unless they reissued it in color? I remember playing it as a kid and it looked exactly like that.
Also John you need a carnival and a food fight
Royce arcade closed down. ?What happened?
The problem with the Patriots table is not a high CG...the problem is that it's a Patriots table. You need a Packers table. ;)
evh347 How about a Bears table? :)
I think you need one of these John: www.amazon.com/LumiSource-Spyra-LED-Light-Up-Table/dp/B0046W8EF6
COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks john buts its 11pm bed time will see the rest later :(
No problem, Matt! :)
Arcades and arcade business in Canada is so dead. It's such a shame.
The Air force Thunderbirds
When you gonna go visit TNT?
John's Arcade Game Reviews & Tech What is that foreign substance you have on your table? It doesn't appear to be VOKKA...
In the warehouse, was that Mario bros. $1,500.00? Also, he mentioned something about that game but I couldn't make it out.
whompmaster I'm not sure about the price. This place is a retail store so the prices in general are higher than you'd pay on CL.
***** Ok, I see now. Thanks!
hahahahahahahaha, glad you addressed the table issue!
Wait so you went to cali and didn't visit one of your brothers in cade JOW SENIGGAGLLLIAAA??
Ohhh I see 2 Atomiswaves....
Hey john willow was on nes i had one,,there is one on ebay right now buy it now $11
fusium Oh, nice! Thanks!
Willow..............the beginning of he end for Lucas.
Thunderbirds
do u have a xbox live
yes. blkdog7
my xbox live name is Legomaster114x
John always wants people to use mala as front end for mame.
Hyperspin is much superior.
So the lowest these guys will go it's 800?
Why wouldn't they sell one of the less restored cabs?
I've never used Hyperspin. :) Maybe I should do a HyperSpin cab.
It takes a bit of time getting all the xml and png 's in the right place but it is worth it in my opinion. Great vids and loving the podcast
Maximus arcade is pretty cool once you figure out how to use it
I'M KIND OF GLAD JOHN DIDN'T BUY SHIT FROM THOSE GUYS,PRICES WERE TO HIGH!
Franco Avila they are high but it is retail. They have employees, insurance, etc. They also could help with fixing stuff if something breaks. So, I cut them some slack as they are not a private guy on Craig's List that will leave you stranded.
Wow you don't see a Countach every day. If it's a real one.
googleboughtmee I think it was real!
there must be a nut in the center that can be tightened
Ok, we will address it in the next video! :)
(32:55) A LAMBORGHINI?????!!!!! 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
LMAO If you really believe that's a good deal, you're drunk off your ass.
it is called Royce's arcade warehouse. check out their website.
800 is too much, in my personal opinion
yes, I agree. but it's retail and you'll get support after the fact.
