Fantastic video. I liked the music. I love building airplanes but I don't think I could do a composite. Rag and tube is more my kind of thing. I really appreciate the time you put into both your airplane and the video. It is nice to be able to see what other guys are building. Helps me keep going on my project.
Love your video! I'm still in the dream phase. I'm not mechanically inclined and have never built anything before but I still dream to build my own kit plane (probably an RV-14). I have a Piper Cherokee that I'm enjoying in the mean time (and a 737 at work). I'm really enjoying all these videos from experimental aircraft owners!
So, Ted, the music was bad, what about the rest of the video? By the way, have you ever created a video? I didn't find any on your RUclips page. Don't have the ability?
ITS great to see this vid it is very informative thank you so much I am in the process of getting my PPL & CPL & MEIR & IFR. so you have made me really jelous ; ) Thanks so much I didnt know how the composite was made so that is really intresting!!!!
Hey, whats a good plane for a first build? Me and my dad are looking into buying one. Where both working into getting our pilot license, and we want our first plane to be a home built one
Yes, the skins are premolded with vinylester. There wasn't any signs of cracks in the skins or superstructure when I sold it last year after 20 years and 1400 hours of flying.
not an obvious connection; communist countries tend not to have home building activity. In Cuba, the Worker's Paradise, you can't even own a boat. Many innovations have come from private parties, like Wittman's landing gear patent (subsequently purchased by Cessna) to SpaceShip One. The US has a strong tradition of free enterprise/experimentation. Volunteering in EAA is a great way to support those freedoms.
What you need to know about building your own airplane can be summed up in a few words: insanely labor intensive; very super expensive; massively steep learning curve; and flying is inherently dangerous.

thanx x 10 to the power 1 million, this type of videos are very rare.
Great video Bill. Wish you would change the title so more people find it and view it. Take care.
music too loud - no fun to listen too and then turning it up to hear you talk - leave music off.

Youre an inspiaration to all of us aviation nerds!
I am not very much qualified person but I found this making the plane and its purely electric without petrol. very good and nice
Excellent video, thanks for taking the time to put it together! (the video and the plane!)
@pope007 - Great aircraft. Which one are you planing to build - the 701, 750, 801 or Zodiac. Should be a fun propject.
This is an excellent project CONGRATULATIONS Bill
How to make sir I have much desire please tell me sir
i have always had it in mind to design and build simple aircraft. Can you guide me on that, sir?
thank you bill nice build well done
what a beautiful aircraft!
Great vid but the sound is just annoying!
Do the plans spec vinylester? Its good stuff and fine for boats, but for a plane I don't think I'd use anything other than epoxy.
Great Vido of an perfect building job!

The fuselage, wing, vertical stabilizer and all control surfaces are constructed of fiberglass.
wohao!!! five stars! how much it weights and how much hp have the engine?
amazing work
thanks for sharing
Looks like quite horizontal usage of this car engine.

does the fuselage are all made of fiber glass? or with aluminum? or something?

Respect, Sir.
@lexichronicle it was on junk yard wars ,i seen that one it was cool
Wow , you have 44 dislikes ! Could the irritating music in the back ground have anything to do with that ?
No, it's "Dayton Wright Brothers Airport" south of Dayton, Ohio
I think I'll skip part two. the music is just too much to handle
my dream to make a aircraft..but how?
I had $80,000 in it when it was completed in 1988. I flew it for 20 years.
Do you stop flying it because it was scrap or because you're selling it?
Hello Bill, did you ever meet Father Marc Tillia?
Is that Lewis a Jackson Air field?
How much did the entire build cost?
@pilotbill9929 how many seats do they come in
thanks for sharing man
I think this video is about an aeroplane.
@lexichronicle Haha we flew before lol and my uncle has his pilot license we know how to fly and everything lol but good looking out!
Thank you
yeah i really dont want to watch this anymore its pretty much a documentry of him buying a plane
Seven and a half gallons of 100 octane fuel per hour at 12,000 feet.
@pilotbill9929 is it possible to change the engine to jet engine?
Its a lance air?
Glasair
Excellent ..
ifr-retractable gear? i dunno if i trust that in a 16k dollar plane lol
ชอบมากครับ
Love you to I Am vilong a Punjab
From which company you brought the Aircraft kit, whether kit includes Engine, all major parts? How much it cost including Engine and other parts Sir?

The Glasair RG only has 2 seats.

My dream
Music ruined the video, had to stop watching. Don't you edit before posting?
masa

Wait... are we talking about an advanced fighter jet, or a very modest, low speed homebuilt plane?
Nevermnd. Just noticed, this specific plane is a rich person's toy.
Bill, why are you advertising some porno under this video?!!!
It's the 'Flight of the bumble bee" and not so lame really, but I know what you mean. Irritating and unnecessary. Lift music would be better.
Why do so many people add that lame music to their video's on you tube? it's the bane of this site. So irritating.
Glasair III builder.
Bad music man
