Mets two-way prospect Nolan McLean stops by + pathways to a better Mets future | The Mets Pod | SNY

On the latest episode of The Mets Pod presented by Tri-State Cadillac, Connor Rogers and Joe DeMayo welcome Mets two-way prospect Nolan McLean (aka Cowboy Ohtani) to the show to talk about moving towards the majors as both a pitcher and a hitter. Do you like the idea of the Mets trading off some players no matter how they perform the rest of the season? I believe that they should trade several starting pitchers and JD Martinez regardless. I think they could still compete with some of the young guys and move Marte to DH. Thanks guys keep up the great work.

Does it make sense to trade at deadline for very mediocre prospects? Won’t a really poor record scare off decent free agents? At the price of Juan Soto( who will be a Yankee anyway) we will get at least 2 very good players. Main question, unlike Aaron Judge, Pete Alonso hasn’t had a great pre free agent year, does that drop his free agent price , can’t see a 200 million plus offer from other teams.
