These things are fun as hell to drive. You really cant have as much fun in a normal / sports car, because the little cars like these (also like renault clio rs, vw polo gti, citroen ds3) feel like driving go-cart. Its that kind of fun... very controlable, not very fast,, but it feels fast.
I like this car quite a lot-the design and quality are there, and it's something different, Italian. The issue is trying to get people to buy it. It *is* awful small, and the average buyer will gloss right over it when they realize the same money will buy a larger car, granted one with less quality and style. From the features Kyle showed, I'd deduce this particular car is about $19k MSRP.
Fiat in Brazil, pronunciates every car name in italian. Even though our official language is portuguese. So it would be wrong if we say "five hundred" as you do, Kyle. Actually we have to say "cinquecento".
I'm impressed with how quickly the windows and sunroof operate. I've seen far to many two door cars where the windows move extremely slowly. (it's an issue I have with my own car)
Kyleeeee!!!! OMGOD! I loved it. 500 isn't rare here in Europe as there in the USA. Not a cheap one, but the sort of Smart car... you want something more than just a small car. You want something exotic. And as for us, europeans, its interesting to observe those little cars in Uncle Sam's Land. Hope it gets its market. But dang... I'm for the full size american cars also. Although not pretty economical, they're(or were) iconic. thanks for sharing! Good vibes!
Hi Kyle!!! I'm an italian guy and i discovered your videos watching this Fiat 500. I'm very interested in american cars and i love muscle cars. I just want to ask if you can do more videos on italian cars. I want to know how american peoples judges the italian cras. Ciao from Italy :D (sorry for the english)
I love my 2013 Fiat only have had trouble with the window regulator in 50K+ miles. Always use Shell 91 V-Power. Just a great car! I'm 6'3" and I fit great. This car wasn't marketed correctly. The Multi-Air is amazing!!
Thanks a lot for this one. I've been driving one of these in the UK for the past 3 years and it's really interesting to see the differences they've made for the US market, some quite random, such as the window up/down buttons are different and stuff, but I am very jealous of some things such as the Bose soundsystem! Not an option (at the moment at least) in the UK/EU! Very cool! Btw, the seats do go completely flat, for a flat load area, just have to move front seats a bit! Thanks Kyle! :)
I am italian and i am proud that the Fiat 500 is sold in America!! In Italy i see too much Fiat 500!! And i have the same start key, for my Fiat Punto. Always in Italy we have: 1.2 liter with 69 Hp, 1.4 liter with 100 Hp, and diesel engine: is a 1.3 liter with 75 hp. My Fiat Punto has a 1.3 liter diesel with 90 hp.
Cute little car but it looks like if this thing were to roll over it would keep rolling like a ball! Great video as always, driving to SC to keep the tubers happy man oh man.
@IwantaLexusLFA Did the magazine bother to test multiple samples to ensure that they didn't have a defective car? Also, I don't know about the Italian car magazines, but here in the US many of the magazines don't seem to reflect real world experiences.
Kyle so I'm going to State Line Fiat and I'm going to ask them to build a 2012 Fiat 500 Sport in rosso red exterior with black leather and light gray cloth inserts
Kyle, you do an awesome job, but I have owned a 1978 128 that was Rosso Red, and although I have heard great things about these cars, I have sworn never to own another one, and I never will. You do know what FIAT stands for?
I saw like 6 of these inside the mall today lol. I sat down one, and it's not too bad if you're a tall person like me, but the back seat is realllllllly small, you will not have any leg room unless the seat is moved up all the way (which means the driver and passenger wont be comfortable. But it's a nice little car.
While this is a GREAT review, I just want to mention that some of the things you have mentioned are options; Sirius radio and the bluetooth are additional options.
@heemoii I was walking through the parking lot at school, and not 1 car had a manual transmission. Even the muscle cars didn't. Whats the point in having a performance car with a automatic? It's slower with the automatic so you might as well get a luxury car instead.
Wow! I read about this car briefly and didn't think much of it but it looks like they finally brought it here! Now the big question is will it be as big of a hit as the Mini and will it be reliable???
The people who say this car is underpowered with its 100 HP, got to remember that this car weights about a 1000 kg. In Europe is there an 0.9l turbocharged two cilinder (you saw it right, two cilinders!) available with 85 HP, and high torque in the lower RPM... It is seriously enough for daily driving! Okay, it is not a sportscar, but Fiat got the solution for it... It's called Abarth...
@Wheelman286 It actually does have both kinds (USB to integrate the MP3/iPod/iPhone to the car's system, and an auxiliary jack). Both in the glove box.
@awesomerandomninja I think the Sport designation is in exteror appearance only and maybe suspension/brakes components. The real sporty model is the 500 Abarth with a Turbocharged I-4. It´s still not as powerful as for example a Mini Cooper S but this is much lighter so it can have some advantage.
Hell yeah. The Chrysler/Fiat Alliance is awesome. So glad to see the 500 enter the North American Market. Not exactly my type of car but it keeps Fagyotas and datsons off the road.
Meh kind of scared of a 500 because I know the Kia Soul is spunky and fun (at least to ride in) but I start driving in 2 years so I've been doing quite a bit of searching and getting an idea of everything. - Anyone who owns/driven/ridden in a '12 500 Sport and has ridden in or have driven a 2012 or 2013 Kia Soul which one do you like better the Soul or the 500?
I have no clue why i love this car so much!
Got one recently and fixed it, drives just like new, I love it so much!
Love the videos, you do a fantastic job.
One cool thing is that great Italian styling!
Great vid! I usually get bored after 2mins when watching these car tours but didn't this time! Love this car!!
I appreciate the great lengths you go to film these great cars! Even crossing state lines lol! Great vid as always Kyle! What a neat little car.
These things are fun as hell to drive. You really cant have as much fun in a normal / sports car, because the little cars like these (also like renault clio rs, vw polo gti, citroen ds3) feel like driving go-cart. Its that kind of fun... very controlable, not very fast,, but it feels fast.
One more month and I pick mine up from the dealer. Very excited! This is the car I want and need.
The best little car ever made. It just puts a smile to my face.
I just got a 500 sport in silver May 13 th I love it thus far does amazing on gas. It's fun to drive and you get the most bang for your buck.
How much dose it cost for the filling the tank fully ?
mutti2022 like 26 bucks
Wow that's more then nice bro thank you very much :)
mutti2022 you're welcome no problem.
How's the car 5 months on? :)
Such a great car - first vid of yours where i can actually say that for a fact. Having driven one of these in the UK,
Also i added it to my favourites! thanks man,i've been waiting for this! Great videos!
hey dude good video i enjoy it a lot you are not like other channels that only shows and dont give a shit about details of the cars... keep it up
here in Europe we have snow too, they sold a lot of 500s (and other little cars) and we're not extinguished yet ;)
My parents had a 1974 Fiat 128 and it was a blast to drive!
love these cars.... before year's end, I'll pick up a sport
In my opinion, this car is so impractical and yet, I DESIRE one. I love your reviews, BTW!
I like this car quite a lot-the design and quality are there, and it's something different, Italian. The issue is trying to get people to buy it. who would dislike this? people must really have no sign of love at home
Bought this as my first car! Absolutely adore driving it 💖
Me too!
What color is yours, and is yours manual?
I have a white manual and it's my first time driving stick as well...I'm having a blast learning!
I work as a valet, and I REALLY hope one of these Fiats comes through.
Fiat in Brazil, pronunciates every car name in italian. Even though our official language is portuguese. So it would be wrong if we say "five hundred" as you do, Kyle. Actually we have to say "cinquecento".
Great review! The Fiat 500 is one of my favourite cars right now.
The Bose system really packs a punch. Cool car.
Wow, this car has great fuel economy! :D Great vid by the way.
Several months back I saw an 18 wheeler carrying a load of these! I think they are neat.
Nice to see you Kyle,i missed your clips.
Your reviews are top notch
i love this car. Im excited to see some of the aftermarket performance parts
I'm impressed with how quickly the windows and sunroof operate. I've seen far to many two door cars where the windows move extremely slowly. (it's an issue I have with my own car)

thanks for sharing! Good vibes!
nice one kyle, these just came out and you got it shot!
YES! I'VE BEEN WAITING ON THIS!
I really want an Abarth version.
nice vid kyle, never seen a new fiat before!
This car is very cute!!! I'm happy that the Fiat starts now on USA with their excellent cars.
what do you do for a living? how do you manage to find these unique cars to review every day?
I don't care what people think about this car I love it I want it
what an interesting vehicle, great vid kyle!
The exhaust note sounds like it's working hard but it's deffinently not to big. Nice car.
At last, a fiat on the US, congratulations people!
It's awesome that they put a Bose sound system in it!
Kyle!! I really like your videos. But it will be awesome if you could test drive them.
Sweet little car but in the video you have'nt showed an AUX input. Is there one kyle?
this car just looks so happy!
i sat in one of these at the chicago auto show it was one of my favorite if not my favorite there
Hi Kyle!!! I'm an italian guy and i discovered your videos watching this Fiat 500. I'm very interested in american cars and i love muscle cars. @Annihilator1111 I'm liking your manufacturing facts that you're posting on all the videos! Good job!!!
hey kyle do you think you could do a review on a fiat 126. if you have time thanks. great review anyway
@LoveTheCity123 It has a 5 star euroNCAP rating. It couldn't be any safer for a car it's size.
Thanks a lot for this one. I've been driving one of these in the UK for the past 3 years and it's really interesting to see the differences they've made for the US market, some quite random, such as the window up/down buttons are different and stuff, but I am very jealous of some things such as the Bose soundsystem! im in love with smalls cars since i bought my nissan versa 5 days ago. love them!

Gotta admit, im impressed. These cars will likely sell well in north america.
i saw one of these on the road in cali i laughed and thought omg kyle did a video on this :)
hey Kyle, can you do the sebring in the backround thanks
Here in 2023! just bought a 2012 that I am currently fixing up 😍
@IwantaLexusLFA Did the magazine bother to test multiple samples to ensure that they didn't have a defective car? Also, I don't know about the Italian car magazines, but here in the US many of the magazines don't seem to reflect real world experiences.
Kyle at State Line Fiat I saw a 500 Sport in yellow so Kyle you should make a video of that
I'll actually pick up a Fiat 500 Sport in the rosso red exterior with black leather and light gray cloth inserts
Kyle so I'm going to State Line Fiat and I'm going to ask them to build a 2012 Fiat 500 Sport in rosso red exterior with black leather and light gray cloth inserts
Hey Kyle can you do a video on the new dodge challenger srt8 with the 6.4L hemi
i thought these cars werent due for a couple of months. its nice to see to see fiat back in the us
Would you be alble to do a 2011 VW Jetta Clean diesel? that would be awsome
@saabkyle04 I really look forward to new videos of you every day. Are you going to do dealership start ups?
Kyle, you do an awesome job, but I have owned a 1978 128 that was Rosso Red, and although I have heard great things about these cars, I have sworn never to own another one, and I never will. You do know what FIAT stands for?
Does this model run on 87 or 91 octane?
Im buying one tomorrow. IM SO EXCITED!
I saw like 6 of these inside the mall today lol. I sat down one, and it's not too bad if you're a tall person like me, but the back seat is realllllllly small, you will not have any leg room unless the seat is moved up all the way (which means the driver and passenger wont be comfortable. Fort Mill....steppin' out!
Great find.
what do you say to the guys in the stores, so they let you film their cars?
While this is a GREAT review, I just want to mention that some of the things you have mentioned are options; Sirius radio and the bluetooth are additional options.
@heemoii I was walking through the parking lot at school, and not 1 car had a manual transmission. Even the muscle cars didn't. Whats the point in having a performance car with a automatic? It's slower with the automatic so you might as well get a luxury car instead.
Wow! I read about this car briefly and didn't think much of it but it looks like they finally brought it here! Now the big question is will it be as big of a hit as the Mini and will it be reliable???
I wonder if any Abarth's will make it to the US...
Can you do a video on a Volvo C70 - 06-11?
@KjetilRoervik keep this mind.......car companies always release their cars a year early. For example the 2011 Mazda 3 came out in 2010. Get it?
I sat in one of these at the Detroit Auto show. They kind of remind me of a Mini Cooper.
The people who say this car is underpowered with its 100 HP, got to remember that this car weights about a 1000 kg. Is there a redline on the tach? I couldn't see one
hey Kyle have you heard about the 35 mpg average requirement?
so are fiats gonna have their own dealerships? or theyre being sold in some other manufactures dealership in america
@Wheelman286 It actually does have both kinds (USB to integrate the MP3/iPod/iPhone to the car's system, and an auxiliary jack). Both in the glove box.
cool song playing from radio(aliche in chains one), really cute car
@awesomerandomninja
I think the Sport designation is in exteror appearance only and maybe suspension/brakes components.
The real sporty model is the 500 Abarth with a Turbocharged I-4. It´s still not as powerful as for example a Mini Cooper S but this is much lighter so it can have some advantage.
Top Gear did a segment on the 500 Abarth, they can tell you more about the history and technical things about this thing.
have you reviewed the smart car?
is the abarth 500 coming to the states?
Kyle sir, I love how "shall we" is your trademark! lol ;)
???
Is there one in automatic? And do they sell it in Canada?
Hell yeah. The Chrysler/Fiat Alliance is awesome. So glad to see the 500 enter the North American Market. Not exactly my type of car but it keeps Fagyotas and datsons off the road.
I LOVE IT! I'd take this over a Mini and they should put like a 200 hp engine in it....that'd be sweet.
Kyle, do you think you will ever run out of cars to review?
I saw this at the Autoshow on Saturday!
Is this gonna be old in the US?
Meh kind of scared of a 500 because I know the Kia Soul is spunky and fun (at least to ride in) but I start driving in 2 years so I've been doing quite a bit of searching and getting an idea of everything. - Anyone who owns/driven/ridden in a '12 500 Sport and has ridden in or have driven a 2012 or 2013 Kia Soul which one do you like better the Soul or the 500?
I've always loved the character of the 500's, so much in fact I'll be signing the papers on a '15 abarth 5 speed this week.
love this little car its so much fun. you dont need 100000 horsepower to feel happy in a car
@Wheelman286 You got a friggin' fiat 500 in america and you ask for aux inputs??
Do the rear seats only fold to about 45 degrees?
This sound is fantastic, especially on very low and high revvs ;D Same as my 500 1.4 Sport for Europe
where is the botton for locked the doors?
Kyle man you must have some serious connections, I heard the first one got sold in 12 hours in North America
