- Independent Journalist Antony Loewenstein says there has been a “cold case” between Israel and Hezbollah since before October 7.
“There was a war in 2006 and since then, there has been an unhealthy cold peace,” Mr Loewenstein told Sky News Australia.
“Israel and Hezbollah have been sort of trading blows back and forth for basically ten months, very shortly after October 7, Hezbollah started firing almost in solidarity with Hamas into Israel.
“Israel has of course fired back much more into Lebanon killing large numbers of people.”

Actually no. Résolution 425 is about foreign armies on Lebanese soil (Syria's and Israelis). Hezbollah is a Lebanese militia.

Its actually because of people like this gentleman that Israel is going through these horrible events. Every time Israel chooses the route of peace the offers get rejected. every attempt to offer any type of coexistence is met with violence. the Palestinian have never put an offer on the table. It is time that Israel will turn around from its apologetic course and declare their current borders as Israel and offer a permanent residence plan for Palestinians that will turn to citizenship while keeping the Jewish majority and nationality. Palestinians can choose to either join and become Israelis or migrate to Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt and any other place they believe will provide them with a better life.
