Very nice video. The W124 is another timeless classic. Elegant and solid. I love it that your videos capture the hood and hood ornament so nicely. I always love the look from the driver's seat overlooking the centre hood bulge and the shining hood ornament in front. Shame the current Mercs (except the S class) have abandoned the hood ornament. :(
When we learned that MB will be discontinuing the hood ornament on the E-Class, we were quite disappointed. Truly the end of an era. To us, the hood ornament is very much part of the MB driving experience.

Same as mine, assemble in tampoi jb, year made 1988 and registered in 1989. It has black engine 8 valve, 2300 cc and manual transmission too! A rare species in malaysia. However in my personal view, the car is more suitable to cruise on a long highway road, not for spirited driving because of the weight. Bought in feb 2018 for rm5800, just finished refurbished a month ago with new paint, code black 199. Total damaged to complete it, around rm7000. More expensive than a car itself. However i have no regret because i know the three pointed star w124 is built to last..
Whatever you put in won't cost more than the price of one when new, which was about RM200k in 90s money. And it would likely last you another 30 years.
