@SoloLolo-xl5ct if you go back further , the 2008 Toa team started with a few Kiwi defections ... although they weren't in their primes you had the likes of Ali Lauititi ,Nigel Vagana , Tony Puletua , David Solomona , Francis Meli , Matty Utai to name a few ..and emerging future stars like Ben Te'o and Ben Roberts. That was big back then to have those usos play for the Motherland.
RE: Chloe, preach Eliota! She doesn’t give two shits about Māori/Pasefika. Don’t be fooled ppl. Someone please explain this to the Morning Shift ai valeas 😅
They need to do a Samoa 7s tournament in Auckland, syd, Brisbane, Melbourne, Wellington, then pick a tournament team for each city then we have a tournament in samoa with a samoa local team and use that as the samoa 7s trial. We charge a fee to each tournament team and all the crowds and use that to pay for the boys to travel to samoa. We should even open up the trial to league boys
I feel bad for the Pacific Island nations mainly our people because of PI political leaders inability to create solutions which leads us (PI islands) then turn to NZ/AUS governments for help. And NZ/AUS turns to the bigger players for "help". All this help comes at a cost of sovereignty and a loss of culture and identity. Helping PI nations = Geopolitical leverage. #thematrix
They are match fixing. They are also match fixing in the NRL. Who was that Samoan player that plays for the Dolphins last year that wouldn't score the try? That was so funny!
That ain't match fixing, that's just a typical fob mistake... we've seen it plenty times in rugby regardless the code, that sometimes islanders make the most brainless mistakes that no other race would make 🤦🏽♂️
The guy on the left is much better than the other guy. His vocab is on and flows. You can tell he's not trying hard. Make him lead the poddy with the guy on the right. The original guy doesn't flow the conversation.
It's still union over league here in Samoa but everyone still wants Toa Samoa to do well just like any team representing Samoa. NRL just needs to organize more tests because that's what pushes sports locally. Also pathways for local players that play union/league would really sell RL here. I love both but union is definitely still number 1 in Samoa.
Be good to see who else crosses over to the Toa from the Big Guns ... rumours swirling that Haas and Fa'asuamaleaui will , also that young up and coming usos like Blaize Talagi and Keano Kini commit as well. Nanai would've already played last year's test but was injured. Which brings me back to players in current Kangaroos team , Hammer and Khan Pereira , will it be Blue or Green n Yellow?
Tonga 7s, now samoa 7s, and only fiji left. Its a conspiracy i tell ya, they tried to do it to fiji by employing ben gollings but the fiji rugby public was ready to lynch the fiji rugby board if there was no change

Now he wants to play for samoa, when he's old and not in his prime, yeah good one, cause he knows nz won't pick him, there's too many good players now , we don't want Roger, he won't win us games
Try read up on some stories before you post, the kiwis coach asked him to play kiwis. So your argument he wasn’t going to get picked is invalid. He is going to be a huge asset for samoa on and off the field .
2:46 The last thing Samoan rugby needs right now is more bad press. With all respect to the chiropractor, he needs to think that if he's gonna make match fixing allegations, he's gotta have proof. It's no use dragging Samoas inability to manage a sporting team, back and forth through the mud, over a suspicion. They say any press is good press but right now Samoan rugby looks dumb and greedy.

Stop using sports to substitute for political agenda. Samoa is its own country with its own constitution and culture. Samoans have migrated to NZ because it’s closer and gives a chance of more opportunity. Their kids grow in NZ with mixed cultural perspective- but the opportunities for training are paid for by NZ. They can choose who they want to represent, it’s a free choice. But stop bagging NZ because they provide a place that islanders can migrate to. If it’s such an unfair place, move. And stop trying to imply the islands just need money and they will be super powers. That money doesn’t come freely, you need resources and people and you need less corrupt government and officials. Nothing lasts in the islands because everyone is in it for themselves. So why don’t we accept that, and move on. We are NZ islanders, in a competitive big world. There is more to fight than ourselves all the time. Like it or not, NZ is our home to do this.

From what I remember, it was Junior Paulo and Josh Papali’i that orchestrated the 2021 (2022) Toa Samoa team.
Before them was Sam Kasiano and Frank Pritchard in their peak choosing Samoa over NZ

@MreyM-u2j no the test match between png and samoa wasn't it?
Why would we let Australia control the South Pacific drug problem when Australia has one of the biggest drug problems in the southern hemisphere
Free import of drugs through the islands and destroy the culture/ people with it. It's a plan they have done before they will do it again
Cause the Pacific nations can’t control the problem themselves (or else it would have stopped) nor have the resources…
