Wow wow WOOW!!! ❤️ You are doing it! What an absolutely beautiful, respectful and love fulfilling work. Thank you so much for sharing your process. What a victory!! You are an amazing fellow human. Simply beautiful.. Everything! Very well done with the editing too..awesome twist seeing "many" of you working together and with the calm sequences of nature and French vibe music, i enjoyed every second ❤ sending a big warm hug from Denmark. Thank you.
Thank you for the lovely video! The new window looks as if it's always been there, and gives balance to the building. Depiction of the passage of time by the development of the cherry? plum? tree was so pretty and apt. Can't wait to see what you do next. Thanks!
Congratulations, this was so beautifully put together the video and your work that I watched it twice while having my lunch today. I also live in Brittany (Plessala) and could relate to the countryside aesthetic. Look forward to seeing the window go in and your next vlog, cheers and a job well done.😊
Excellent work and so beautifully minimalist. Love to hear the birds. And actually like your mystery. French or English, who knows? but your work est incomparable et si jeune, Admirable!⭐⭐⭐⭐
It looks like you have decided to put a window in where one didn’t have one. It will be interesting to see how you deal with the mess behind the window frame. Great work by the way a very skilled stonemasons 👏
The original wall was more than 1 meter thick (approximately 3 feet 3 inches if you live beyound the Channel). The wall collapsed (as described in episode 2). Inside the house, a cement coating helped hold the stones at the back in place. I rebuilt the wall with 15 cm (6-inch-thick) concrete blocks and added 25 cm (10 inches) of stone masonry, for a total thickness of 40 cm (16 inches approximately).
Please make vertical videos are videos with an aspect ratio of 9:16, which means that the width is 9 units and the height is 16 units. This video size has become increasingly popular due to the advent of devices

For the reconstruction, I reused stones from the fallen wall (Ep 02). I used lime mortar, allowing the wall to breathe. The window stones are locally sourced blue granite. I used concrete blocks inside the wall so concrete is invisible and the wall is strong.
I hate Safety Nannies.... ...but, I have to say, there's NO WAY I'd be handling those effing great big blocks of stone without steel toecap boots.....!! .....mash up your feet .. and you're f***ed!!!!

Yes, I decided to create a new window. You can see the original wall in episode 1. More in future episode ! Thanks !
très joli travail;-))
Beautifully executed;0
It looks like your cottage walls could stand up to a trebuchet for a few hours.
Yes walls are thick !

Beautifully filmed! I would watch your videos, even if I were not interested in the stonework! Is this your own house or just a project?
Both! It's mine and it's a project!
Nice stonework! What type of mortar did you use?
I used lime mortar. It allows stone walls to breath.
@@MyFrenchCottage thanks for sharing that detail
❤
That looks wonderful, you made a silk purse from a sows ear as the saying goes. But scary! You could have lost your house.
What a good saying !
Красота
The restoration is coming along well and looks fantastic 😍 btw, who's that lazy bugger sitting down on the job 😂😂
You noticed him! 😂
Triplets or multitasking? Great video.
Clones!
🧡🌹
Did you ask everyone to show up in the uniform for the day?
Are you triplets as well!!!
They are my clones!
just how thick is that wall?

Bukur me pun bëhet jeta
Exactement !
Why are there more stones behind the new window? I dont get it...why is the stone wall so thick?

@MyFrenchCottage okay, thanks for the explanation, was just curious when i saw what was behind the collapsed wall! Cool videos! 😊
Please get steel toe cap boots….dont ask me how I know !😢
Thanks for the advice! Safety shoes are important !
Sorry just to see concrete make me think that things could have been done differently with a mix of wood, stone, bricks etc....
