The PROBLEM I have with my Lexus LX600 F Sport…

- In this video I talk through the primary problem or issue I have with my 2023 Lexus LX600 F Sport. This is a problem that’s unique to me and my type of vehicle ownership. Most people won’t be phased by this…
The LX 600 here and the Toyota Land Cruiser share this problem and that is they are almost “too niche” of a vehicle. Very few people buy these vehicles given their price points, we are talking 3500-4500 units sold each year. That is nothing. This makes selling them used or trading them in extra difficult. I can trade in a 2023 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro or Sequoia TRD Pro or Tundra TRD Pro all day any day. Any dealer would cough up top coin for those because they know so many people are in that market. Lots more people are trying to buy TRD Pros in the $50-60K range. The $100K+ LX600 market? Not so much.
What are your thoughts? Have you ever purchased a vehicle that you couldn’t recoup the money out of?

People in Middle East only have true fun with vehicles like these. It's an attractive vehicle with extraordinary off road capabilities and luxury at the same time.
Can you research a car prior to buying? That way you might not have go through this ordeal after every purchase.
New subscriber? He knows more than 99.99999% of people especially dealers. IMHO
This guy loves toyota vehicles and does this channel as a hobby. That is why he is constantly trading.
He does it for views lol
@@MarkA500he’s a car flipper 😊
That's what makes them a rare luxury 🌹. Some things aren't meant for everyone out the gate to get...
When the stock wheels went back I knew its time was limited. Good luck with the sale! Market isn’t good for flipping currently.
The build up to the “it’s sold” announced keeps going 😂
I feel you. I’m on my 55th vehicle, I buy new vehicles a couple times a year and sell and buy constantly. This vehicle has never spoken to me, as much as I want to want it.
You could market it using the angle that it's based in the lc300 which isn't available in North America. There will be a few people interested when the time comes. It's an awesome vehicle.
Is this now sitting at the Chevy dealer down the street from where you filmed this?
We have the same problem, we get bored with perfect vehicles. I paid off my LC200 HE and plan to keep it forever. I now drive it as my daily and swap toy vehicles about once a year… I’m actually swapping a Miata for a Mini Cooper S on Friday 😂
hey my man, let me guess, you've been testing the waters and getting that type of market response :). You're good at this, you got it :).
I just now noticed on this vehicle that when you get rear ended, you are replacing rear quarter panels and rear lift gate. What happened to rear bumpers?
Hmmm, great pt, now that you mention it.
I almost want to find a used Lexus GS from an older person for my wife to put around, or an Avalon. Our 4Runner eats so much gas, I don’t even want to put it on the roads much and hit trails with it mainly lol
Way too much money to have "tied up" in a vehicle no matter how much money you have accumulated. The depreciation on these types of vehicles erode wealth way too quickly and way to significantly. And that's with a Lexus/Toyota, where depreciation is "reasonable."
Having $115k-$120k tied up in a Range Rover/Land Rover, BMW, Mercedes, Cadillac, etc. is absolute insanity and not even remotely intelligent money management.
Really don’t think you’ll have a problem selling it. You have plenty of videos “advertising”it and the audience can seeing you take really good care of your vehicles.
You should try Grand Highlander. Great SUV !
They do look exceptional. Love the space 👌
Can you explain why you chose not to lease or at least buy used? It seems finanically foolish to buy a brand new vehicle, especially over the100K range, then possibly sell later when cars depreciate 20% on average the first year.
That's a damn nice car to be stuck with. Enjoy it and stay firm on the price.
I went to buy the same one.
Lx 600 in New York. Can’t find one. I have put 32k and I have to wait 40day to come. 127k plus tax
AMEN, We have 2022 BMW M4 2023, BMW X7 40i, 2024 BMW X5 M60 in garage now. We have had 17 BMW, 5 Porsche, 2 RR, 2 MB, 5 jeep Rubicons all last 20 yrs. I'm looking at the new GX550 when out and who knows how long I keep. Its a disease for sure
Bought a 2020 LC200 series over this, Got a great deal for 65k. It will last me a lifetime with the V8. $1500 in upgrades to install CarPlay etc. I’m happy.
Considering the new GX will be around $85k, this makes a lot more sense.
So you don’t take a loss on any vehicle including a Lexus after less than a year? I’d need to see proof on this.
I lose often. Win sometimes but lose plenty. Check out my videos, I provide details to include purchase docs.
That’s none of your business and he owes you nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch.
If he can afford it, why not? Who wouldn't want to drive new cars every year
The problem isn’t the vehicle it’s your addiction to vehicles 😅
Its not exactly the price point. Its morals. My local dealer has an identical one on the showroom floor with a 30k markup.
That’s absolutely ridiculous
I would take it off your hand if really wanted. But looks like u drove it on salt roads with snow and rust is starting under frame. Check it out
Need to get the new Land Cruiser. You got time to sale start now.
A new car is coming to the channel soon. When a video like this posts it’s time for some excitement! Looking forward to the next :)
Lol stay tuned 😉
*cough* Friday…
If you can sell that to a Lexus dealer near me. That would be awesome.
What happened to the bfgs?
I’ll explain Friday
Has them Wyoming plates on it. You definitely don't want to get Colorado plates for that! 😂
Will you have trouble selling it? We will know soon.
Dealerships near me have 11 sitting on the lot… LX600
Keep it!
Been watching used ones on line , I don’t think you’ll have too much issue , but I think you will take a $$ hit
RMR got a LC200 HE with only 4K miles. Just saying. ;)
Lol don’t tempt me man lol
I don’t live the lifestyle to own a car like that and suspect most people don’t or at least they shouldn’t.
these cars last a very long time... Lots of old money drive vehicles like this because they know it's not going to cost them in repairs and they hold their resell.
@@Paul-ic2ki If you read the book, “The Millionaire Next Door,” you would learn that most wealthy people don’t buy brand spanking new cars though.
Lexus didn’t do this justice for the price point. It’s missing so much luxury and size
This is a 60k dollar car over capitalized to 110k.
In other words if Toyota sold a minimalist 300 series landcruiser it would be in the 60k dollar range.
Luxury trim maybe 90k dollars.
So Lexus just added 20k dollars of unnecessary luxury.
In today’s inflation and economy. Not at all. This is a super huge car. It already should cost a ton just in material
Nothing is a chore if you’re willing to lose some money. IMO, it’s better to do it(sell) sooner than later. Car prices have hit an inflection point and the days of dealer marks up and buyer flips are over. My local dealers that had 5-10k markup on LX600 are now sitting on at least 3-4 LX600 on the lot for over a month. I was “lucky” to strike a deal with a local dealership for MSRP in September. Ultimately, I backed off since I wanted to wait for GX550 next year.
what's "infliction" point?? In what language??
Ever do the math on how much you lose per year swapping cars?
U could have just put a Magnusson supercharger in ur pro 4Runner and would have been amazing
Or just keep it for 20 years :)
Just thinking about keeping the same vehicle for 20 years makes me short circuit 😝
I say buy a 2023 Raptor! It rides like you are on a cloud. Boost your 409 hp to 450hp!
I agree, Lexus is kind of hard to sell.
I say sell it for a Raptor or drive the heck out of your LX!!! 😊🤟🏼
But is ford
@@jtalonrider4769 It’s a Ford Performance vehicle. 🔥😊
He already had a raptor though…
@@ettiennenathan but not the Gen 3 Raptor! 😁
Carmax. And before you scream "depreciation" ... luxury SUV's all depreciate drastically. If you buy big, you have to be willing to lose big.
Trade it in for the new INFINITI QX80
What do you mean they sold in the 90s..Bro this is a new platform. Do your homework. Then you stated it's so high at 100k..Newsflash damn near all luxury suv's are above 100k that are full size suv's.This guy is so uninformed it's nuts. Asset cost vs Value Retention are two totally different things. Then you said no dealer would buy it? WTH there's a waiting list 3 years long! You don't deserve a LX..Bro it's a specialty truck like the Rover..it's also niche like every other luxury truck.
Just get the raptor R and G wagon and be done with it.
insurance 10 K soon
You gotta be losing money with each new purchase.
way overpriced for all the built- in obsolescence.
Squirrel’
Seems the issue may lie with your approach to cars. Glass always half empty, not half full. Impulsivity is costly and lack of knowledge.
Appreciate you sharing your opinion 😉
Way too much talk to get to the point...
idk why you bought that truck anyways this a woman vehicle.
Only in USA
That twin turbo six isn’t gonna last as long as the iconic 5.7…
That’s a fact 👍
It’s a piece of nice junk for people have junk mind
you are talking nonsense. This is a luxury SUV. People have that kind of money does not care money. If you can only afford a Explore, then you have a problem with this SUV. This SUV does not have problem.
