Haven't seen shotty battle in a few years. Glad I decided to search for him so soon after a battle was released. It just feels like battle rap has been on a decline in the past few years. Lots of big names disappeared and then the pandemic hit and it really put the brakes on things for a bit. Hopefully it can pick back up to where things were about 5-6 years ago and before that.

Shotty came correct! Defo no question of that! His character and flow just are light speeds away from most but tali is a beast! His lyrics are not obvious and he also came loaded with content, tali does love his word play, his style to me is quite complex, you need to join the dots in a small amount of time to get it and if you do then it’s killer, i like the less obvious approach he portrays in his performances but sadly it can lose people and we may see a byproduct of that in this battle but that is a shame as he is awesome! Shotty defo holds the room here and for good reason, his dynamic theatrics, facial expressions and water tight sarcasm just eats away at most of his opponents and even know his performance here is slightly toned down compared to earlier shotty videos it becomes apparent he does not need to over animated his character to win over the masses! Both have my respect and put on a great performance.
This is one of the best reviews I've read regardless of who battles who. Well written and no matter how old I get battle rap will always have a special place to keep improving the scene.

Shotty sums this one up perfectly - Tali is nowhere near top of NLC hence NLC could have been better represented. Don't get me wrong he done well but was way behind in every aspect of this battle. Got to commend Shotty because the fact he doesn't battle regularly must make it tougher to get in rhythm but he still snashes it.
