Am I right in assuming that Malcolm would’ve kept the coin if he didn’t shoot lucifer this episode? As when lucifer offered him the deal he didn’t specify a length of time on not shooting him?
Interesting! I really never thought about this possibility! But its make so much Sense and explained why the coin have crumbles to dust bevor Malcom can reach and catch him. The Canaanite religion, pre-Judaism, had a mother Goddess. Her name was Asherah/Athirat, and the was married to God, known as El. I suppose that's where all the names of the angels come from, too. They all end with El...Michael, Gabriel, Samael, etc. I suppose Lucifer the show corresponds more to the oldest forms of the religion.
Yep, most angels' names translate to something or other "of God" or the like. Lucifer's the odd one out there because his name is a Latin translation instead of the original Hebrew (...and because he may not have actually been an angel in the original versions of the story, even though his original name before being translated into Greek then Latin - Helel - does happen to have the "-el").

Since Eric brought up the Canaanite religion where Yaweh was the god of war, I want to mention that in that religion, the Supreme Creator god was El, and he had a wife. His wife's name was Asherah, goddess of fertility, associated with orchards. Together, El and Asherah had 70 god-sons, one of which was Yaweh. As the Canaanite religion began to evolve into Judaism, the 70 sons disappeared and Yaweh took the place of his father, El, as the One True God -- except for awhile, Asherah also remained as his wife. There are ancient artifacts (mostly pottery) depicting a man and a woman with the inscription "Yaweh and His Asherah". Eventually, Asherah got written out of the stories and the monothestic Judaism we all know today came to be. So in the mythological history, Asherah would have been Lucifer's mom. Which I can tell you without spoilers is explicitly not who Lucifer's mom is in the show, as the showrunners have said in an interview she's not meant to be Asherah at all.
Can someone who tries to keep them away from spoilers tell them that Lucifer, Amenadiel, Maze etc. are not using vessels? I mean, it's weird because their mom will use a vessel (Not a big spoiler that can ruin your reactions) and other siblings or demons won't. And i don't know if their mom isn't the only one that used a vessel.
Eric is the only one that has said that, and I’m not sure if he even really believes it. I think it was a half joke. The other 3 seemed to be under the impression that they weren’t using vessels.

Damn... do people not universally recognize that "Hunt you down like a dog." is referencing how humans have used dogs to aid in hunts for a very, very, long time? It's the same as saying "Track you down like a dog." Like a dog uses their nose to track down their prey. Like when you see a dog hunting for a rabbit in long grass they'll sniff the ground and then like kinda hop up on their hind legs and rotate and put their nose back to the ground a couple times then take a few steps and do it again until the rabbit... rabbits and then they chase them down and kill and eat them. Pretty entertaining to watch from your deck when your dog does it... but I guess you'd have to live in the country with a dog to ever have seen it.
I think, it is just an amalgamation of two sayings: "I will hunt you down" and "I'll shoot you like a dog". In this context, the dog is the one being hunted. But Rick had the right answer on the main question. It always dogs, because we are in symbiotic relationships for so long and know their habits so well, that we can associate ourselfs with them, and any human in the world would understand this references.

Which episode is it that has a big Flash ad billboard in the background of a crime scene? Did they skip over it in a reaction or has it not happened yet?
Guys it’s not supernatural they don’t possess people those are their own bodies you’re thinking about it too hard they’re literally on about their mother it’s not a secret code or anything
Actually very, very, VEEEEERY early versions of the Yahweh cult (wich originated modern catholicism, judaism and every other variation of the "biblical God" religion), still kept strong ties to its paganistic roots and nature worship which included not only the deity that would evolve into Yahweh but a female counterpart sometimes linked to the very creation of life. So Lucifer having a mother is quite accurate considering archeological findings regarding ancient versions of the cult.

Am I the only one that feels like Aaron does a lot of talking about absolutely nothing? Like seriously, he's always the one that starts rambling on about random bullshit and it just completely sidetracks everyone making them forget the show. Spider webs, dogs, who gives a shit?!
I never understood that metaphor. If I have cake, I *will* eat it. I expect to eat it. That is the whole point of having cake.
But once you eat the cake, you no longer have it. You can have the cake, or eat the cake, not both at the same time.
8:36 this part kills me lollll 🤣🤣🤣🤣
