And with the introduction of Ella Lopez the show REALLY starts to get fun.
It is impossible not to have a crush on her.
I don’t lol, I prefer Eve(which is weird cuz I almost never have crushes on feminine women, but there’s something about her that’s just so beautiful and charming)

Lucifer's strength in front of Chloe has, in the past, always some from a place of pure rage. He was utterly detested with the producer's actions in having the pop star killed off to boost sales numbers, and pocketing the cash for himself in episode 1. In episode 3, he was disgusted with the agent trying to barge past him after nonchalantly confessing to manslaughter, and in Episode 9, he was royally pissed off at Father Frank's death. It might be because there is no act of free will greater that one done in pure rage, which as the embodiment of free will, might make Lucifer inherently stronger.

@All Over the Place Well, thanks to the psychological effect, the thought of being weak because of Chloe can actually make him weak. It doesn't have to be because of the crowbar.
But this psychological effect can be an absurdly easy way to create more drama without being inconsistent with the plot, so I get your point.
First time I saw Ella I thought she was 27. Turns out she's 41. She has such a youthful face and personality.
It’s kinda surprising how all the main actors are 40 or older. Tom Ellis and the woman who plays Chloe are both in their early 40s and the woman who plays Linda and the guy who plays Amenadiel are over 50. That’s pretty uncommon for a show like this.
Now I wonder if they will realize or even remember the jewelry guy in 3x01,4x01,5x01.

Arezoo Kashefipour actually I think the first time I watched 3x01 I didn’t realize it was the same guy. I binged the show after s4 came out. Then in 4x01 it all came together for me.

@@DimSquadGaming Well, apparently it was coincidence, however, "All along the watchtower" is an important song for the tv show Battlestar Galactica, where Tricia Helfer (Mom) plays one of the main characters. In this episode Lucifer performs the song right before we are introduced to her character.

In this case, make him a bit of a glass cannon...he was rendered into a vulnerable position having to stave off being choked, and becomes vulnerable to harm, meaning he’s hit with both the need to DEFEND rather than attack, combined with a “weaker tactical position”...she was behind him and above after all...even if he was more physically powerful...it’s still an uphill attack from where he was

I mean I think alot of people overthink the choking scene, yes he still has his powers, his strenght, this scene was clearly done solely for comedic effect, to make us laugh, so I personally give it a pass on the "lore" break if you will, it was just fun.
Edit: Also the show has almost nothing to do with the comics besides the concept and a few lines, I wholeheartedly recommend both The Sandman and Lucifer comics, amazing works.

Only the premises of the show (Lucifer in LA) are the same as the comics. The two products are two entirely different things. In the comics there is no Chloe. It's not a comedic cop duo situation. It's just Lucifer in LA with Mazikeen and a lot more supernatural/celestial things happen. Angels, demons, hell, universes. I like them both but they are very different.

There was a couple episodes last season where they didn't guess who the murderer was. The lady who shot Lucifer when he figured out she killed her husband, I don't think they knew it was her. Unsurprisingly they didn't guess Malcolm was behind the Satanist killings. Maybe they didn't guess who it was during one or two of the earlier episodes as well? But ya, Lucifer isn't great about keeping people from guessing who the killer is, so episodes like this are nice when they are not sure who the killer is.
