Welcome to my channel. These videos are in essence who I am. I'm someone who has learned to navigate his own path. Through that journey I've had to come to terms with who I am. At first I thought I needed to always center what I put out into this world around what made me different on a physical level. But I've changed since then. Now I want to tap into and explore who I am internally, through my passions and interests. And hopefully through these things, I can form connections with this world through our commonalities. We all live through the human experience, and this is mine. Nice to meet you, I'm Anderson Pleasants.

Anderson, I know its been years since you posted on your main channel, but I've been subscribed since you did your first cover of a 21 pilots song. I celebrated your chance to go meet them in person, and I tuned in for all your covers. You inspired me to learn ASL in college, and its the only way I've become Bilingual, but that much more ability to be able to reach out to other has helped me immensely in life. You inspired me both academically, and musically and I loved sharing our admiration as apart of the skeleton clique. Please come back and make a cover from TOP's most recent album. It feels like a return to form for their music and for me as a fan, and it would be amazing to see you return to share this momentous event in TOP history. Sorry for the weird plead, just wanted to let you know that you had an impact on so many people, include me when I was a scared teenager. Thank you for sharing your passion and talents, and maybe one day we can see more.

Andy. Thank you for being such an ispiration. You are just the type of person that I would love to talk to when it comes to life and the many colorful aspects of our consciousness. I'd be happy to hear your insights as I'm a curious seeker of the thousand versions of reality that we have on this mind-boggling planet. Also it's always fascinating to talk to someone who has built their own unique views of the world due to the circumstances that they were born in; meaning, that if you had to face your own differences at such young age you also had to learn to build your own vision of the world since it never aligned with the vision of the society, the norms that we have. From my point of view a person is a always especially lucky if they have the chance to build their own visions of the meanings of physical beauty, happiness, money and other things that have deeply ingrained our collective counsciousness in a certain way. Those views are really hard to change if you don't have any type of 'tower moment' in your life, a moment where you realised that you are actually different from the rest of the world and simply cannot build your own views based on the collective consciousness and social norms.
I know that currently you prefer to focus on the part of life that is not centered around your differences and I fully respect and understand that. I just wanted you to know that you have greatly inspired me when it comes to breaking out of the norm and building my own world. You seem like the type of person I would love to be friends with. Please keep making videos if it's something that your heart is still longing for. Much love to you on your path. Keep being you and the life around you keeps smiling.

First of all, you’re cracking me up with the perfectly placed jokes😂
I identify more with your mom although deadmau5 and ODESZA are on my list.
Added your playlist to my queue so I’ll be listening on my long-distance travel today.
My love for music started when I was a child, and first learned how to form chords on the piano.
My newest obsession is learning how to play cello. But first, I need a cello🤔
I appreciate the time you spend on these videos, AP.

Enjoy the music and safe travels! I used to play a bit of keyboards as a kid since my dad has some, though mostly just stuff like happy birthday. Then I got into percussion in middle and high school for school band and really enjoyed that. And now I'm back on to the keyboards with my own. Playing around with instruments and learning over time is for sure a blast

Prince is my LOVE. I have grown up with his music. I live 13min from his home & I was in 4 of his videos. I would get invited to many, many, late night, after hours parties just cuz he wanted to play. He is also the best concert I’ve ever gone to. So much better live than on a record. People tend to think his is only Purple Rain, but he is the best guitarist of all time- even according to Clapton. To see him live was a spiritual experience. You could see the moment when he connects to God while playing. He has played every instrument on all his albums.
Needless to say, I was devastated when he died. The world lost a true genius!
Nowadays, I spend a lot of time looking at older R&B, classic rock, & new stuff like Ashnikko.

Hey Andy. I found you (and your story) on the SBSK interview you did. That video led me here! :-)
I'm curious if you are able to hear things fully... or if your hearing aids just pick up general sounds, but not all of the detail? I was curious when you were talking to Chris on the SBSK interview if you could hear him asking you the questions, or if your brother was helping to interpret them for you?
I'm a fellow music lover... Can't even remember life without music... and I, like you. listen to it EVERYDAY! :D It's interesting hearing you talk about your musical influences... I imagine that your parents are closer to my age (I was a teen in the 90s), and I imagine that your dad was a raver? ;-D haha ...SO MANY genres of electronic music you mentioned that I wasn't even aware of! I already sampled some of the bands you mentioned... I like what I've heard so far. :-) I, myself, usually like the slower "electronica" stuff... like Zero 7, Air, Verve remixed, etc... but I LOVE to dance, so those heavier beats can come in handy for that, once-in-awhile! ;-D haha
I listen a lot to an online radio station called Radio Paradise, which plays a wide range of indie rock, world, reggae, blues, jazz, 80s new wave, classic rock and some other random stuff once in awhile. They will sometimes play electronic music, but mostly stick to a mellow groove of tempos... and genres! I'd say that I actually tend to like good, underground/indie hip hop more than I usually listen to electronic stuff though. -Just my forte! ;-)
I was curious, in your story about when you fell in love with music, if your dad noticed you having your "surreal" experience? Did he react one way or the other? I'm also curious if you still like to dance... maybe not to the Wiggles anymore, but to your current vibes? haha ;-D
Cool! Thanks for sharing your tastes!
    -Peace

As a young kid before teenage years I became a fan of writing. It could be in my Journal about how my day went, or writing things down like sports that interested me like basketball stats, or even some days I felt like poetry. As I grew into a teenager , I had an aunt that played the guitar and I thought it was cool and loved how it sounded in person. Which then I started learning and playing guitar at the age of 13. Now that I am 32 years old i can say I play a variety of instruments ; Guitar, Bass Guitar, Piano , and Trombone. My music taste is all over the board from Indie Rock, Pop , Japanese Rock/Hardcore , Classical Rock, Jazz, Blues , Metal , Rap the list could go on as far as genres of music (well maybe not country LOL just cant stand it!!) And preference on which I listen to depends on my mood that day! I grew up listening to alot of bands like Rancid , The Distillers , Red hot chili Peppers, Panic at the disco, Pink Floyd, KoRn , Beethoven and many other artist that I could sit here and list all day.

I think the moment I fell in love with music was when I started getting into a deep depression. There were days were even thought it was sunny outside I spent the whole day and night on my bed just laying there because I felt like everything was pointless or didn't have enough energy to get up and do much. Eventually though I discovered metal music which totally kickstarted my path to recovery. To hear other people preach about the pain they feel and how even through the worst of times we have to keep going really struck a chord with me. Bands like Killswitch Engage and Lamb of God are some of my favorites right now. Slipknot is the big one for me just because I feel like no matter what I tell a slipknot fan they will always welcome me with open arms. And its amazing to have that sense of family.

Profoundly penetrating perspective! I dreamed of writing music growing up but learning to read music was like pulling teeth. Being forced to practice piano was pure torture as a kid. However, I loved feeling music and could remember what I heard once pretty easily. When I learned 3 chords on the guitar for the first time in college I was in Heaven and wrote my first song. But then I’ve spent years honing sight reading skills thinking maybe then I could someday figure it out, but well I turn 50 next year. Then last month I sat at the piano with my guitar tab app and now I’m seriously addicted to a new drug. I spend hours chording along to all my favorite songs cuz chords are the most amazing secret to all music. Unlock chords and some basic theory behind them like the circle of fifths and the world of all music and how it’s created opens up. Without decades of work if you already understand rhythm too! Not sure if this relates to all the rhythms you connect with so well, but I’d be curious what your experience is with chords and song structure. If I could speak as eloquently as you do on any subject, I’d trade my ears with you if I could and you want them cuz you have more heart and more to teach the world than some of the so called best fully able bodied people in this world.

Hi. Let me tell you one thing (perhaps two): you have a great music taste. I understand why you don't want to say electronic music cz the EDM factor but don't worry. The other thing l want to say you it's you're right of the emotions in the beat. Your frecuency sensibility are well tranning like a pro drummer so congrats! Now my recommendations: Perturbator, Gunship, the midnight, kroshia, makintosh plus, brian eno, die antwood, el general, dj shadow, massive attack, portishead, radiohead, elephant gym, unkle, tool, leprous, isis the band, polyphia and fleedwood mac. Also the band named the band, scorpions, veruca salt, sublime and kraftwerk. Enjoy life and music #asl #lsm #nwa

    Dear Andy.
I just watched you on SBSK.
I loved how intelligent you and your brother are.
    I loved listening to talk.
You are amazingly intelligent. And I'd love to get to know you both more.

    Hey Andy!
So awesome to hear you're into music! I write music, try to at least!
I always wrote to cope with a vague sense of being different. After 30 years of life on this planet, I think I've realized that I'm autistic, and am working my way towards getting a diagnosis.
It has given my music a distinct sense of purpose, instead of just, vague, dark subjects like 'being a demon' I'm able to write more clearly about my feelings, or my inability to understand them, at least =).
I've snagged your playlist, I've got it downloading right now so that I can listen to it in the car!
I've tried to learn ASL in the past, it's kind of tricky, especially alone and having some executive functioning problems, languages are BIG! You've inspired me to give it another try, and to try FOR REAL by reaching out and finding others to learn with, or a class- instead of going it alone.
Anyways, just wanted to say hello and thank you for your videos, hopefully one day I can watch them without CC!

Hi Andy! Thank you for sharing your journey with your love of music!!Originally saw you on SBSK. Followed you b/c you cheer me up & make me laugh w/ your clever, well timed jokes! Like, hey...haha! Omg, What just happened? You're subtle and natural about it. It never seems forced. Very rare! Have you considered being a comedian?! But then again, that's an unduly stressful life! Lol
But music has always been my solice since very early childhood! I'm also a singer/musician. I play guitar, & dabble on piano, hand drums, whistles, & wood flutes.
I LOVE music! Started out liking more old school 60s/70s rock like my mom. But, like you, it was a rabbit hole for me too!!! I'm curious by nature so explored a lot of genres starting as a teen. I got into euro-pop, old school jazz (my gramma's influence), Motown, electronic, punk (my bro's influence), Brazilian music, Indian music, Irish, world music generally, some pop, some old school hip-hop even. SO many types! I just have to connect with it either lyrically, rhythmically, or melodically. Usually ends up being all 3.
I literally feel music too!! Through my whole being, body, heart & soul. It's ALWAYS been there for me when ppl rarely were!
Your first experience feeling the music was a beautiful love story, as far as I'm concerned!!
Thank you always for sharing your mind with us, man!! Respect, love, & support!!🤗💪🏼🎶

I love this video and im so excited to see your asl music covers knowing its your music taste
Personally I can't think of a moment of an exact song that made me go I love music but over the years music became everything I had left to what my life once was it was the expression of what my life became after so much had happened and music got me through the last 8 years of my life and will continue to get me through my life there's not a moment I don't have my headphones on my head some of the time music isn't really playing my headphones are a comfort tool genres I love so many lyrics are a huge deal to me but I really enjoy emo music and my style is emo but I love pop and other things just as much the artists and bands l listen to are MCR, TØP, BVB, one direction and all their solo stuff, icon for hire, linkin park, grace vanderwaall, Eminem, skillet, lots of unsigned very underground artists on RUclips Johnny gilbert, till death do we part, B Mike, abbey glover, Madelyn Bailey ect. I can't think of more musicians currently while I'm typing this but hopefully what I did list gives you some idea what music I like but like I said I'm more in it for the lyrics so I might like a few songs not even a full album from an artist other artists ill like full albums or their entire discoragraphy and even their stuff they put out in the future it just depends but I still fully support artists who I don't like everything from

Since you mentioned liking Electronica I'm going to suggest the Furi OST. Has some great artists like Carpenter Brut and Waveshaper on there, a really good mix of melodic, moody, and high-intensity pieces (I use those to workout haha). I like a lot of videogame OSTs too; I would highly recommend the Nier Piano Collections if you're interested in some emotional pieces. Other than that, I've been into a few more recent artists: Snail Mail and The Marias. Snail Mail's Lush has some amazing dream pop sound and The Marias are a really sultry, seductive sound that I would maybe describe overall as a more alternative Sade. Love the videos brother, always a pleasure to hear from you and I hope you're doing well.
