#gluebook #artjournal #junkjournal A viewer question about the (imo) differences between glue books and art journals. Some repeat info. (contents not for children)
Hi, I just found you and subb-ed. I have a journal just like your ring bound book, except mine has 6 rings. I really appreciated your comment about being closest to the creator, it feels just like that when the juices are flowing and the energy is happening and time vanishes. Love ur work, thank you for sharing x
In my art journals I use paint, stencils, pens, ribbons, flowers , string, fabric. Pretty much everything. In my glue books they are typically magazine pages that are glued into a book.
Hi new to your channel beautiful book. Your pages look shinny and I was wondering if you use a finish on them and if you do what kind do you recommend thanks
Hi Brenda, welcome to the channel. Sometimes I like to put a finish on them if they are delicate papers or to add the gloss. I use Mod Podge (matte or gloss) I love the stuff, for years. Cheers!
I enjoyed your video and explanation of the different kinds of books and journals. I haven't tried an art journal or glue book but will attempt one in the near future. It will be a nice change from the journals I've been making. I don't call them junk journals because I don't use what would be considered "junk" in them. I've just subscribed and can't wait to see more of your work. TFS
The page you do your daily journaling on has room for art. So does the page opposite and the page after. :) Do art in your journal. Do seasonal stuff, or heartfelt stuff....drawing or gluing, or watercolor. Doesn't matter. Your journal, your writing, your art, your doodles, your thoughts. :) Let part of your journaling be the art. Very healing. God bless!
@@craftsandcollage Thanks for your lovely answer; I will try!! (I have seen so many beautiful journals and my perfectionism kicks in and stops me from just creating.)
@@user-on7zd8yi8g I honestly practice the "wreck the first page" method. I have to or i'd have a shelf of brand new beautiful never used journals. Wreck the first pag.e. Scribble on it, rip it, whatever. But use it as a heartfelt monument to your bravery in starting the journal. Charish that first page . It shows your courage. x

I really want to combine art with my daily journaling, so far I haven’t been able to figure out how.
