- Deck Trains WEEK FORTY-NINE Part Two Revisited: July 14, 2024 { Austrian Folk Music }
For Part two we will change it up…we’re going to switch locomotives this time!
Here is Roco®’s 1988 #43434 (or #4141E ) ÖBB BR 1018 04 E-Lok in Blood Red. Another updated version of the DR’s BR 18 E-Lok from our Beer Run in Week Twenty-Eight and the ÖBB 1118 leading the MOW of Week Forty-Three. Our model runs at 61.95kph (38.5mph) at 50% power compared to the 150kph max speed of the prototype.
We will also add:
a Roco® #44484 2nd Class ÖBB coach with grey roof to match our Loco,
and the newer Fleischmann® #5568 Track Cleaning Wagon with the Grey over Red coloring, vs the older #5569 with the Cream over Red coloring in Part One. This single coach was not an intentional acquisition, but now I want more…
SO, why not? Thanks to the NE Transportation Museum in Killington, we will add the following from Roco®:
#45020 ÖBB 2nd Class Passenger Coach,
#45021 ÖBB 1st Class Passenger Coach,
#45024 ÖBB 2nd Class / Baggage Passenger Coach. All in full 1/87 scale length. Boy, do they look l o n g !
What amazing color! Again these units remind me of the SBB and RhB red or brown E-Loks and colorful rolling stock winding their way through the Swiss Alps. Imagine this Blood Orange E-Lok climbing the ramps and dashing in and out of the green firs, massive rock formations and the snow covered Austrian Alps in the western Tyrol or Alberg. - Авто/Мото
