- ok WOW this is so much better, what an upgrade over just gluing on a press on nail to hide that fact that I broke one nail. This is why I love listening to y'all. ;) Also if you want to get into gel nails PLEASE do all your research and follow all product instructions, I'm not a nail tech just a girlie on her diy journey so don't listen to me. 😉 Hyper realistic nails extensions, anyone?

hey! they now have a concealer version! it’s like the pink base you use in your videos except in builder gel form!
it’s a lot easier to work with imo because of the fact that it’s thicker, and it’s so so pretty!!! i don’t even really have to worry about breaking a nail. since i’m a figure skater i take some pretty life flash before my eyes falls, and not once have i had to worry about breaking a natural nail!!
Translate isn't there
I think since the majority of the comment is English the “translate” button doesn’t show up because it doesn’t detect another language.
It actually looks so NATURAL❤
Right??? I’ve seen other people do this and finally got around to trying it, so so happy with how it turned out (kinda shocked tbh)
OMG RIGHT
frrrrr
I said this exact line as I was opening the comments 💀
You CANNOT remove gel this way, its very harmful to the nail plate, its always better to file it down to a thin layer with a file. If in the long run you remove the gel like in this video, your nails will become papery and break. I am a nailteck from Russia. I know what I'm talking about. Please be gantle to your nails bebe
the fact you were watching dylan is in trouble makes it all even better
AND she watched HTHAZE like i love her yt taste
Seriouslyyy!! So much better and I actually laughed out loud when I noticed😂
Omg I haven’t seen his content in I think two years 😮 thanks for reminding me to catch up!!!
Hello fellow troublemaker ❤

This is a clear hard builder gel. Extremely hard, like glass! You don't need a base coat with this product. It's very thick in application, self-leveling, so you can add an apex simply by turning your nail upside down... wait a few seconds then cure. Float slowly to avoid air-bubbles.
This is so good to know. I like growing my nails but I’m also a terrible nail biter
Love your nails!!! Any suggestions on doing a similar method without curing?
@@savvysarahhhh Buy false nails, glue them on. You can't use products like this without the lamp.
Wait, you dont need a base coat with builder gel? Or just hard gel, or just this specific product? I recently got some Madam Glam potted builder gels in clear, nude pink, and white, and planned to do this for my thumb nail that broke! my nail experience lies in regular polish and gel x extensions so I only know those processes 😭 Over the last year ive been learning about gel and all the different nail mediums and its awesome but omg I feel like the process is so different for each different nail medium (acrylic, gel x, this) while also being similar enough that I get really confused. Anyway, what all do I need to do an extension with builder gel? And how to I know if this MG builder gel is hard or soft gel
If you proper prep, but I don't use a bascoat with this gel. It doesn't lift w/o a basecoat. You can use hard or soft gel for an overlay on natural nails. This gel is very hard.
Hard gel or soft get is really just a preference. I tend to lean toward hard gel, because I'm rough on my hands and w/ soft gel my nails break more easily. I use both at times. For me, hard gel lasts longer.
"i know it's not perfect" it's literally perfect
You have to analyse it closely to understand if it's actually well done, which include weight distribution and if it was built/cured correctly. I know you mean well, but you can't just tell from a video that something is "perfect", only because it looks really good and natural from the top.
Well done! ❤ I am a nail tech of over 20 years and LOVE how honest you are and tell people to learn from a nail tech. I appreciate your respect. I see some influencers trying to teach but are not nail techs. There is nothing wrong with just admitting you are playing around. It makes people feel better to know things like it took 3 times to get the form right! It’s way more helpful to people to just show them what you know and be honest about it! ❤ Keep up the great work! With your nails and your channel. That colour match was on point! Your honesty and respect was on point too!

This over extending a nail?? You think she was talking about how to do life saving surgery. lol
@@Dolcevita_bakes let them praise the creator in peace, no need for that
@Dolcevita_bakes it's called gratitude and respect.
Perhaps familiarise yourself with those things.
Your comment was totally unnecessary and nasty.
How is this not perfect? This IS the moment, this IS perfection, this IS everything ❤
Hmmm
Because it’s soft gel and not hard gel so it’s gonna break as soon as she touched anything
Nah there is no rubber base so the hard material will come off with a bit of pressure applied and the inside probably looks wonky too without drilling it out.
builder gel is so nice, its good for ppl that want a bit more strength but dont want acrylics
Your nails are so pretty😍. Also definitely peeped the Dylan video in the background love his channel and love when 2 creators I watch cross paths in someway that’s always fun.
Tysm! And haha yes, he’s absolutely amazing - one of the most consistent creators I know with weekly Monday uploads 🫡 and so funny

I’ve been using this for years and it’s hands down the best builder! I won’t use anything else. It works great with the forms and it’s truly crystal clear like they claim.
If the form doesn’t fit properly you can cut at the edges underneath to make it fit! Susie from Nail Career Education has a fab video on how to custom fit them! ❤
Oooo ty for the suggestion! 🥰✨
Omg we need a full video of the color matching! It was too perfect!
LOOOVE THE NAILS AND OMG DYLAAAAN!! Not only do you have the best taste in nail designs but ALSO in watching ytbers ahaha
Yaaas it’s my favorite builder gel ! I just prep my nail differently 😊
Do you have a video up about that? It’s my first time using this primer so I’m not sure if it’ll work for me or not:)
Because of you I have been growing out my nails and really keeping my anxiety is disorder in check by doing so. So because of you I've been taking better care of my nails So thank you!❤
girlllieeeeee that looks so good like k was actually blown away at how much it blended in with your natural nails
Tyyyy the color matching helped so much I think
I’m gonna follow more nail artist because she ate that!!
The other account I mentioned is @heygreatnails , she’s amazing! 🥰 but I’m my own nail artist lol

i’m not sure if you already have a video on this but I really want to start using a rubber base gel so lengthen and strengthen my nails but i don’t know a single thing. could you make a video for absolute beginners where you mention the best cheap brands and what products are necessary and how to use them?😊thank you!
Not you watching Dylan on the background🤣🤣 I love that guy!!🥹
One of my favs! 🥰
Flawless work. I love to wait around for your videos they never disappoint
I appreciate that, thank you so much 🥹💙
ORLY's builder gel is a lifesaver!
You're literally the reason i started taking care of my nails and now my nails actually grow! Thank you so much. ❤
Looks so beatiful and natural, i like so much 💗😢
Builder gel is my favorite!! You did great!!
Omg I can’t believe how natural that looks! That colour matching be matching 😂🩵
Right?! My artist brain came out to play hahaha
@@thegraytergood yessss it’s so good! And your nail shape is beaut 😍
Wait what, it's absolutely freaking perfect
Wow that’s impressively natural
Looking!!
Dylan on the screen makes this video so much better😂😂😂
I just ordered something similar, 4 of my nails need this but the rest look fine. I've never done it but here's hoping I get the hang of it 😅
I love that you have Dylan in the background!
Hey! I am a nail tech! I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure that this product is not a one phase BIAB. For all of my BIAB or regular builder overlays I always use 1 coat young nails protein bond and one coat of a good quality clear rubber base. That combined with proper prep and they will last you up to 4 weeks.
What brand of rubber base do you recommend?
I love that she is so gentle with and on her na❤❤❤
I loveee how your watching dylan in the background haha! and also you have a really great talent with nails!! im going to make sure i can enhance my interest in this field and one day become like you! :)))
Really, really amazing !!!🤯🤯🤯
Thank you - also Happy New Year! 🥰💙
Omg i love the fact that you're watching dylanisintrouble while doing your nails😭😂
I love that you always credit other creators! Love your work 🫶🏻
You actually did really well they look natural and pretty x
Its the most natural nail i've ever seen😊BTW I love your new profile picture ❤
Tyyyy yall are so cute for noticing 🥰💙✨ happy new year!
PRO TIP: You CAN file natural nails back and forth to get some length down quick but stop a millimeter before and one way file the rest!
(I was blessed with strong hard nails so filing them down every few weeks would take forever so I just go ham on length and be gentle when I get to my desired length.. if I try to clip them, i still have to clip them far from the length i want because they snip off crooked or jagged sometimes)
I love your videos! ❤❤
Ahhhh tysm! This one was a lot of work but SO fun to do!
The fact that this short was recommended to me after binge watching some of Dylan’s videos and he’s literally playing in the background
The algorithm is ALGORITHMING
Your color matching skills>>>>>
Orly it’s the best!! I love it
Looks beautiful ❤❤
How can you do your nails so nice while watching Dylan 😂😂😂
OMG! I love it 🥹✨
Ty! Still shocked it came out this well haha
@@thegraytergoodDon’t worry it always comes out amazing 🤩 also love the pfp
You can try to put the little circle part on the back of the edge of the tip. Its what i do when i use forms and, It makes it more sturdy and will help with shaping it to your nails!! In my humble opinion, that is.😊
Ah thanks for the tip, I’ll have to try that!
The color match is AWESOME
You did a great job ❤! I’m very impressed!
Literally looks so natural 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Dylan in the background!! I love it ❤
Builder is my go too!🙌
It’s so good 🤭 what brand do you like?
I love the new profile picture. You look so pretty ❤️
Thank you so much 🥰 yall are so cute for noticing
You are the best nail artist I have ever seen. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Most builder gels are supposed to move. It allows the nail tech to build a whole nail with one bead. You can buy super thick gels that don't move as much but they can be tricky to use. You did a great job! The nail looks so natural!!
BTW, forms are a special art to put on. You did well to get it to fix after only 3 tries.
Not all builder gels can be used on a form. They come in a variety of soft to hardness levels. You want a harder gel to build extensions.
Happy new year ❤🎉and the nails are looking very beautiful And realistic
Happy new year to you too! And tysm 🥰💅🏻
Firstly, love the shinanigans. Secondly, what a great idea 💡
You did great! Hard gel isnt too easy, and looks super messy on the form bc of its light consistency(even when us nail techs do it), its all about the shaping afterwards lol
The current science says that the back and forth is fine on your natural nail as long as you’re not using a super coarse file. I think people are still being trained with the one way filing in school though.
It actually does look perfect 👌🏽
Nail tech here , you did well
Gurl. ‘’It’s not perfect’’ That looks exactly like your real nails! Love your videos!
Girl, my old files are my best. This looks amazing ❤
I do this! I buy Modelones builder gel, too coat, and base coat. I love it!
From a licensed tech. That is hands down the best looking application and color match 😮👏🥳
please watching Dylan while doing nails is such a ritual for me
Your taste in youtubers is exquisite
That looks perfect! I mean spot on! I could barely see the seam between the two. You’re a color matching wizard. And I’ve been practicing with forms and builder gel for a couple years now and you outdid me with your first go.
👏 PERFECT 👏 color match!
I’ve tried a few builder gel in a bottles and by far my favorite is the Aimeli one. Like not even comparable!
Ooooo I’ll look into it!
I just love how she always gives credit to other artists❤
You are very beautiful in your new profile picture. And your nails are also very pretty
Thank you so much! 🥰💅🏻✨
I'm a beginner nail tec and she actually did quite well
The colour match is perfect!
Idk if anyone else has mentioned this, but there are different consistencies among builder gels. That being said, you'd be better off using polygel to actually build the nail, then a layer of builder gel for strength.
Um.. not PERFECT! girl you gotta be kidding me?! its phenomenal♡
Same thing, different day. Your right, practice makes perfect. 💅🥰
I bought French nail tips in soft white and white.
Glued on the tips, filed it, sealed with activater stuff in a kiss kit.
Wiped it with polish remover, then applied base coat.
Then a bottled gel coat, then the top coat.
I also paint between base and gel coat sometimes.
I like the gel tubes better applied with a nail form.
It takes practice but it works well.
Looks hella real nail
That looks so natural - well done with the colour match! Unless you’re a nail tech, or amazing at building, mine always come out a little jagged and bumpy but it’s nothing a good shape and sculpting can’t fix! Thats actually the bit I enjoy the most!! ❤ 💅
Happy new years!! Love your nails!! ❤
Happy new year to you too! And tysm 💅🏻🥰✨
Ur welcome ❤
Builder gel has been a LIFESAVER for my natural nails, they've never ever been this strong or long
They look good!
You did amazing! Well done!!
That looked so real! 🤯 Maybe I should invest in a lamp and builder gel for breaks.
This is literal perfection
I'm a nail tech. Good job it looks nice!
YOU’RE A TROUBLEMAKEEER🥳
Whoa! That looks amazing! 💖
This is why I love taking suggestions from the comments, I’ve been wanting to try this for a while and finally got around to it
As someone in nail tech school, you can absolutely go back and forth with the file on ANY nail enhancements, but NOT on the natural nail, as you said. 😊 these look really nice! Also love that you have an Aprés lamp
hey, sorry, just curious - why not? does it damage the nail?
According to Doug Schoon, cosmetic scientist and author of Nail Structure & Product Chemistry, it doesn't matter which way you file. The original fear is that the see-saw motion excessively frays the keratin fibers in the nail plate, leading to peeling and breakage. He found in testing that regardless of which way he filed, no way presented more 'fraying' fibers than the others.
It's a myth. It's a pretty pernicious myth, too, given how nail techs split on the issue. For every tech you find that was taught during their education this was true, you'll find techs who were taught the opposite.
@@elfdiep yeah i think it adds to much pressure on the nail bed
@@tothelakes ah thank you! That makes sense, I won't do it anymore now haha
Well I’m glad I know now. At least I’ve only been doing it for majority of my life.
I would put a thin thin thin layer on all the other nails if you’re not doing a color over it to make them all have the same texture/finish to them. It looks literally perfect.
Color matching the acrylic to your natural nail was a foreign concept to me so i was in awe by how undetectable it is, I would never have guessed that wasn’t your real nail wtffffff
Do 1-3 layers of builder gel!!!
hey i don’t know if you’ll see this but i js got into doing my nails fr and the beetles builder gel is the only good one i have found. SUPER thick and easy to use ❤️❤️
IT LOOKS SO REAL
They look sooo good! I got a question as someone who does their nails themselves, I was wondering how you clean your design brushes (specifically the thin ones) cause mine always get dirty and I can’t wash the polish off! 😢 wondering If u could help with that pls 😅
