That craftsman tape measure brought back some memories. They were guaranteed for life, we used to use the heck out of them, tape breaks, head to Sears and get your new tape measure. After about 5 or 6 years they discontinued them, with their replacement having only a one year guarantee.
It’s a lot of fun getting better stuff a little bit at a time. I started out with what I could afford at the time which was mostly cheap stuff, and I’ve pretty much replaced it all now.
Excellent video, I really like the 199 cutters from Stanley also, but you forgot to tell us who made the leather pouch for it!! I want to buy one, can you let me know???
My most abused pair of pliers is an old pair of Peterson 7LN vise grips that came from my grandfather. I need to get myself a small pair, I got a regular pair of the 5" ones in like new condition at the flea market but passed on the LN pair because they were beat up. I should have bought them anyways, but I don't plan on beating up like I do the larger pair I have so I want a nicer example.
@@realworldtoolreviews Hard enough to find that for years I thought they never made the 5" models in DeWitt, looking on Ebay all I'd ever see were the imported Irwins.
I got the CLC bag for HVAC installations and I can say that it is a bit bulky, but I keeps me from constantly running to the truck for something. I like it a lot, keeps everything neat and organized too. If you ever get a chance to get a Ridgid adjustable wrench try it out. I love mine, it stays put and it doesn't get stuck like some wrenches do. It just feels like a good quality tool.
@@realworldtoolreviews The wrench I have has USA forged onto it so my guess would be yes. Mine is well over 10 years old but it’s the Ridgid 758 wrench.
Ah here's my RWTR fix. Good upgrades and updates. Thinking of that utility knife, if it ever gives out on ya you can get a very very similar one that's also USA-made, the US Blade Mfg Co 117-99. Harry Epstein has them for under $5.
Great vid bud 👍...i didn know that fuller had usa made tools, i luv fuller and i got a decent collection of them and everything i got was made in Japan...ill have to keep my eyes out...congrats on getting more n more subs 👍
How many tool bags do u have?!? U have soo many videos on all ur bag setups, I’m watching them all!!! Im jealous!!! I’m a new female homeowner and I’m trying to figure out what tools I should and should not buy!! Thanks for all the advice!! :)
I definitely have a tool bag problem. I’ve tried out a ton over the years. I do love to have a lot of different setups for different jobs so I can just grab and go for my most common stuff. I’m glad you are finding the videos helpful. We need more ladies around the channel. Thanks for watching!
I have found that a lot of the older tools lack the “safety” measures of new tools to protect the delicate flowers out there and makes them less useful. Some hand tools become so inundated with clips, locks, clasps, retractors, shields, locks, etc. etc. etc… that it makes them bigger and more cumbersome. Like your fixed blade razor there… that was one of the first designs and it’s the best. Think of how many varieties of razor knives there are and you go back to the original. I find the biggest offender of ALL TIME is Kobalt. They drive me crazy. 🥴
Yea I know what you mean. So many moving parts and a lot of plastic on tools these days. A lot of times simpler is better. I love that Stanley! You never have to worry about the blade pushing back inside the knife when you really push down on it.
I agree. Veto makes great bags but man are they expensive. I also think the layout is overrated. I like the design of this CLC bag better than any Veto

Yea that’s how most of the craftsman stuff is now. I love the old craftsman tools. That tape is sweet!
I’m an electrician and love doin this, I started off with my older brother’s hand me down tools and am replacing them all

I agree! Who made that leather pouch?
Love the Craftsman Tape.
Me too. It’s a great little tape. I use it all the time and it makes me happy every time lol.

Yea for some reason the small petersens are harder to find.

I do the same thing! Out with the old. I’m with the new. Tools and bag upgrades. Love the channel.
There’s always room for improvement! Thanks Tom!
Nice load-out ... You can do several different tasks out of it ...
Thanks Eddy! I’ll do a full review of the bag and load out soon.
Love the Craftsman tape measure.
It’s cool right? I love all the info they give you on it.
@@realworldtoolreviews Ya, very cool. Great info and no wasted the space.
Can you do a load out of your bags. That big is well put together for most tasks.
I definitely will do one of this bag soon!
Nice bag
Thanks!

So far I love the CLC bag. I’ll be doing a tour soon for sure. Are the ridgid adjustable wrenches made in USA?

Nice! I have one of those scraper razor knives by them. It is awesome. I’ll have to check those out next time I’m on HJE
Nice setups!
Thanks dude. I’ve been out of town this week, so no sales, but I should be back on it next week.

Thanks Charles! Yea Fuller did have a decent amount of USA stuff at one point. Most of the Fuller stuff I see is definitely japan made though.

I agree 100%, there’s always that one tool we feel desperate to upgrade lol, at the moment it’s my pliers, getting tired of mediocrity eh eh
High quality pliers make a big difference for sure

The brand is called Nicholas. I found it at a yard sale though. I don’t think they make them anymore.
