What a great video. I found Jenna Rainey a few days ago on youtube and I can't stop watching her videos.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful book.
I recently bought this book so that my granddaughter and I can learn watercolor together. Then I found this book review. I'm looking forward to working through this book.
I have this book, and it’s awesome! Tons of instructions, helpful daily watercolor projects.
Yay! I'm so glad you liked it, Donald!
I purchased this a week ago. Beautiful book. Love her RUclips channel.
Thank you for your in-depth reviews. Many of the books you’ve reviewed are ones I’m currently debating purchasing on Amazon. This is much better than the vague reviews and images on there. Very grateful!!! ♥️✨
Been eyeing this book for a while now, might actually pick it up after seeing this review. :)
Great book. Along with another one: Watercolor in 30 days. Very clear, bright. I have both, on paper and on Kindle. Thanks.
I have had my watercolors (too much) for a year now. Now 3 books! Thank you for the flip through and review. It's in my cart!
Thanks Terrie!
This is a Fantastic book for Watercolor technique. I am excited to pre-order her second book, Everyday Watercolor Flowers!
Thanks for the shout-out Laura (and all the support so far on my channel!). xo
Gorgeous book and great review. WOW is just watercolor shorthand for wet on wet and used by many artists. Given her skill at teaching, I'm sure her explanation of the technique is thorough and easy to understand.
Ha! Funny that, first time I came across that abbreviation. And what confused me most is when some watercolour artist say Wet In Wet. Wet On Wet makes more sense and sounds better, and so does WOW! :) Thanks for letting me know x
Aw thanks Rebecca for the compliments! xo
Thank you for the review on this book. It has been in my Amazon cart for over a year, and I’m finally going to order it after seeing this video 😍 I am not sure if you know this or not, but she has a follow on book that came out in 2019 which is a good up to this first book. It is titled, Everyday Watercolor Flowers. It is lovely and you might like it 👍🏼
Oh, such a great book review! Love it. This book seems super nice. I want it, and will save up to order it. Thank you so much for your great video! : )
If you ended up saving and getting it, I hope it met your expectations!! xo
Thank you! This book has been on my wish list for awhile. Now that you presented it, I know what I’ll be getting. Have a great vacation.
Looks like a great book. I’m a fan of her work.
Thanks for the support! xo
Thanks for your review! I didn't know this book and it's a great discovery for me
If you got it, I hope you enjoyed it, Krystel!
Thank you for taking the time to review books! It really heps ;D
thank you for sharing this book. I really need this book in my life.
Me too!
Haha, this book needs YOU. xo
Thank you for this review! I was tossing up getting this book but now I'm definitely getting it!
Thanks for the support, I hope you enjoyed working through it!
I have found this on amazon and it was in my cart and then i saw this video now I’m going to purchase it. The book is well written as i see can’t wait to hold it in my hands
Jenna has a great RUclips channel, as well. Great book review!
Good review and very timely. Only yesterday, I was considering purchasing this book but couldn't find a review. Thanks!
I hope you enjoyed the book (if you ended up getting it), Alan! :)
She has an interesting instagram account too where she usually posts videos about her paintings. Thanks for reviewing the book.
Well thank you. :) I now have a YT channel now too if you didn't know! Take care! xo
I happened to order this book earlier this week. Will receive it in a couple of days. Thanks for the review even though I purchase it already. 👍🏼 I notice on Day Six, that you are reviewing, she has plenty of videos to accompany the book instructions. Win, win!
This book is to learn Watercolor and also who wants to draw flowers and stuff like that. And if I'm also a beginner but I want to paint landscape specially with water (sea, river,s boats)?
I want this book. I don't want to order it online, I'm trying to find a bookstore here in Australia that may stock it.
Hopefully book stores in Australia have it... If you find it, I hope you enjoy!
Amazing book :) ... my favorite art book is "The Laws Guide to Nature Drawing and Journaling" by John Muir, i highly recommend it.
Thank you! (for compliments for my book, I can't accept the praise for John Muir, haha). xoxo
@@JennaRaineyChannel hi Jenna. Do you have newer edition if this book. If so what is the difference?
I have to strongly concur with the recommendation for that John Muir Laws' book. It really sparked my interest in nature drawing and painting, which is now a prime hobby for me. This Rainey watercolor book looks good too.
This book will be in my collection thanks to this review.
I hope you enjoyed it! (if you got it, that is). Take care!
I really learned a lot from this book. I finished the lessons about three weeks ago :)
Great review! Do you know of any other similar books that have lessons and activities?
The is a book I will be reviewing next week hopefully, but you can briefly see it in my tomorrow's haul video to get the idea. It's a slightly different style, not as pretty as Jenna's Everyday Watercolour but still great for learning and has a wide range of paintings, 50 to be precise :)
Alyona's Watercolour Creations: awesome, I look forward to those videos!
I'm so glad I saw this comment and that you learned so much! Take care!
Sorry to see again a book printed with light grey text colour difficult to read for many people including me😫
Does the book show you how to paint the flowers from the front and back cover?
No, it doesn't. I thought this book was awful. The lessons do not connect to each other. She shows you swatches of colors used, but rarely has the names of the colors, or what colors were mixed to get that color. I truly do not understand why this book gets rave reviews. The font is also very, very small and pale, making it hard to read. I totally regret spending money on this book.
Thank you 🥺♥️♥️ is so helpful
Good video.
I am going to buy this based on your recommendation.........
Hope you enjoy it! :)
Sorry no. This book isn't good for beginners at all. It took me back to my art school days which was the worse. In art school the teachers tell you what to do but not how to do them. For example, the book does the same saying "C" curves and "S" curves but doesn't give a lesson on what those curves are. Not good
I agree, I thought this book was awful, pointless. The lessons do not connect to each other. She shows you swatches of colors used, but rarely has the names of the colors, or what colors were mixed to get that color. I truly do not understand why this book gets rave reviews. The font is also very, very small and pale, making it hard to read. I totally regret spending money on this book.
I just got my book in the mail. I am so mad at Ms. Rainey, the editor and publisher that you would make a book so hard to read. The font, the color, the size of the writing is plain stupid. You ever look around who takes up painting? it's old people. good grief.
I'm so sorry you feel that way, John. It's hard to please everyone, and I'm sorry this book fell short for you. Take care!
I agree. I thought this book was an absolute waste of money. I was new at watercolor, and this book left me more confused than when I started, lol It's been about a year since I bought it, and have since bought several other books that are far, far more useful.
@@OhJodi69 hi, can you share the books you recomend?
