Brilliant video. Thanks for sharing . I know I will never see crinkle crags that way. This video had it all. Scenery, excitement, risk assessment in mountains, on the fly decision making to maximise safety. Brilliant 🔥
Like I said on your previous video, no pretentious bullshit and no ego. Conditions weren't right, you turned round and found an alternative route. I'm loving your videos! I really appreciate the time you put in to make each one 🙏🏻
another brilliant video of your on trip up crinkle crags fantastic conditions and views great advice to give newcomers in the mountains when to turn back when the conditions are not in your favour keep up the good work 😉👍
Good circuit in thin & tricky conditions - the traverse to the great slab is hairy enough in good weather, spot-on decision making. I remember in the 80s there was a Bad Step bypass tunnel under a chockstone ...shame it collapsed in the early 90s. Enjoying dipping into the channel
I did the same on cold January day. It was so windy and icy on the summit of Crinkle 1 that I could barely stand. It was better to retreat and have a tale to tell.
Enjoyed the vid Dave. Did similar route in July but from the Wrynose and over the Crinkes then back via. the Band and Blea Tarn. My problem was the heat! Lol Must try your route when we get some decent snow. ATB. Hope you get back on the hill soon? 👍
Another great little adventure, looking forward to travel restrictions being lifted and my Wainwright collection returning to these shores, then off to the hills we will head!
Must do Crinkle Crags and Bowfell, one of the few bigger days I have not done in the Lakes. Good judgement with that path too bud. If it doesn’t feel right then it probably isn’t. Simon 👍
Very enjoyable watch and a very sensible decision to to do the climbers travers in those conditions, especially with nobody else about. Superb scenery and great editing, I think I will have a lot of watch time over the next 6 weeks, cheers Alan
It’s all too easy to get sucked into difficult situations in the mountains. And common sense sometimes isn’t very common. Listening to that little voice in your head is often the best course of action. Even if you don’t really agree with it. Glad you enjoyed it Graham. I love Crinkle Crags, especially in winter. Thanks for watching and stay safe - Dave
Beautifull scenery and picturesque , it's easy to want to carry on but you have to know your limitations knowing when to turn back and not get into difficulty especially being on your own !
Just subbed mate, loved it, reminded of doing the Crags years ago, really is time i got back over to the Lakes, after this bloody lockdown business!! Thanks for an inspiring film, will deffo get into the rest of your back catalogue 👍😎
Hi there. Many thanks for the sub and the feedback 👍. My early videos were a bit basic but I think they’re improving now. Still lots to learn. Hope you enjoy some of the others. Can’t wait to get back out there. The sun hasn’t stopped shining since the lockdown 😩. ATB - Dave
Big thanks Mark🙏🏻. Ireland looks lovely especially the Morne mountains. I’m pretty sure I could see them when I camped locally on the West Pennine moors last month 😎
Epic Dave, those views were stunning, the camera really brought out the amazing colours and definition of the landscape, well done mate on the correct decision to change course. Atb. Tony

Hello Dave, have you considered offering walks for others with your experience or would you allow people to join you?
Thanks Robbie.
Hi Robbie. It’s not something I’ve thought of. Need to get this Covid stuff behind us first though.
