That Final Approach controller was completely on fire, his colleagues as well managing all the arrivals and all the pilots for their patience and professionalism.
UNTRIMMED version now released. Feel that controller stress! - > ruclips.net/video/naWA9p_cY9k/видео.htmlsi=MBY9ee2GQuKc-yi5
So was the engine....
@@Forest_Fifer Actually no. If it failed and shut down, there's no more fire inside to burn fuel and produce thrust. It's off.
I'll say. That was beautiful. 👍🏻🙏🏻😊
@@VASAviation yeah,i know.....😉
That was some seriously good plate spinning 👍
This controller is one of the best and professional I have heard on here in a busy airspace. Quick, clear, and paying attention. Hard to find these days. Amazing job by everyone involved.
Felt like was really hitting his annunciatons to make sure everyone heard the correct info the first time.
The guys in Merrimack NH, and Nashua NH AKA Boston approach Boston center are great.
If there was an award for the smoothest ATC, this one deserves it. Fast but clear, accurate with even the non-native english speakers having no problems.
Agreed. Military quality
No dei hires that day.
I liked how ATC took the time to let the other planes know what was going on……and especially when he thanked them all at the end❣️❣️❣️
Did like that & the end especially with the thank you all
Wow, like a symphony with the controller as the conductor and the pilots as musicians. A thing of beauty.
Delta pilot read the fuel in time and weight, because they know ATC will ask for the other one otherwise.
Did he mean 7hours and 30mins?
So glad you highlighted a very competent controller. 🎉
Dat controller is a rock star! Man what a great job. WELL DONE GIVE THAT MAN A RAISE!
They need to use this in ATC training and classes as an example of how to handle an emergency. Fantastic job. Asked the, directly what they want/need, extremely efficient communication with other planes, didn’t overload 475 with too much info or questions that were unnecessary. Just an all around job well done.
apart from the part where he uses non standard voice ATC to 'declare and emergency' ?
finally a good emergency interaction.
the world is healing.
Clarity, an accurate grasp of the big picture, pinpoint attention to detail, and keeping out of the emergency pilots' hair unless absolutely necessary. It doesn't get better than that.
Good ATC work here. Nice to hear after some terrible controlling during emergencies lately.
I was thinking the same.
Love the professionalism by all involved.
You just don’t realize how much of a dance occurs over our heads…such a good job by everyone! God bless them!
I'm not sure if I just listened to ATC or bought something from an auction and my wife's gonna kill me in about a week's time... either way, it was a beautiful thing 🙌
INCREDIBLE CONTROLLER #! WHAT A GREAT JOB#! BEST I'VE HEARD IN MANY YEARS!!! THEY SHOULD ALL BE THAT GOOD NOWADAYS. JOE CFIAM Lake Havasu, Arizona.
Flawless communications from the Delta pilots and ATC
Always a pleasure to get to watch a bunch of professionals at work! I understand the it is a lot of work to add the additional planes to the scope, but it really highlights just how much is happening on on a busy approach to a big airport, and then to see the consummate skill of the controller to resequence literally on the fly to get everyone down safe is extraordinary.
Good to see that the tower had assistance for the controllers. Either a supervisor, or someone else correcting the wrong frequency before the person got done saying the wrong frequency. Then approach making a hole for an immediate return before even contacting the emergency aircraft? Whatever system they are using, we need more like that for busy airports.
I heard the voice in the background correct the controller. Nothing better than having a good team at your back to help you do the best job possible when the engine ingests a turd
"What would you like right now?" - best possible ATC statement.
Agreed … you have to be completely impressed with the professionalism and demeanor of everyone involved in this incident … bravo 👏🏼
That was SO smooth!!! Kudos to everyone involved and safe flying!
Wow, who is that pro? Never heard something like that in more than 20 years. #bo105
Boston has awesome controllers
Definitely have the "A-Team" controllers at BOS. Interesting contrast from DCA!!
There was a lot going on in that airspace. Nice work to ATC and all involved.
GREAT JOB APPROACH CONTROLLER!
Props to Japan air for understanding the adrenaline fueled communication!
I’ve flown Jal7 and Jal8 a lot. Fantastic airline. Total pros.
Made it look easy!!!! What. A. Pro.
YEAH....love to hear the pros !! Outstanding !!!
Really great performance by all. Bravo!
Controller going full speed. He would have been a fantastic auctioneer.
Is this real time? This controller is unreal. Need to lock in all his children for the future.
Was it just me or was this one of the coolest vids Victor has made? Heya Victor how about just make a vid of approach at a busy airport at a busy time for 30 mins with the same matched audio and flight data! @vasaviation
I have already done that. Check the playlist for untrimmed videos.
That approach controller was cookin'
Nice work to all
Approach is a wizard.
And because this was an Airbus, this incident will definitely not make any news whatsoever....
The engine wasn't made by Boeing.
@@mikedx2706 Neither was the engine that opened up on that Southwest 737 due to not being secured properly. But that incident got blasted all over media because it was the "dreaded Boeing 737 😲!!!" My point is that Airbus aircraft experience similar incidents at similar rates but the media never reports on them because Boeing is their scapegoat. Crappy media reporting is all it is and it's annoying.
It made VASAviation. That's more important.
@@VASAviation 😄 we all know this channel is the GOAT!
@@thepod24exactly. Just like the cracked windshield yesterday.
Pushing tin
Great controller. Nuf said.
ahhh yes the classic PW1000 issues
good job by eryone in the airspace
So, I'm a passenger aboard this flight....this is the pilot I want in the cockpit.
What’s concerning is how that engine failed. That’s a brand spanking new NEO.
Something is up with the FAA registration for this aircraft.
The registry doesn't give a year of manufacture or engine the A321-271NX was equipped with.
After a lot of digging by serial numbers assigned and the time frame Delta purchased them, it looks like a P&W PW1133G Pure Power engine was involved.
Controller telling an emergency aircraft 'that's approved'? Emergency aircraft needs to be telling ATC what they're going to do, and ATC needs to make it happen. I feel as if he should have sent 2145 around to eliminate any possibility of the emergency aircraft needing to go around.
A+ controller
Just want to point out a minor detail. This AC was manufactured by:
AIRBUS AIRBUS AIRBUS. There was a Boeing plane parked next to it so I’m sure Boeing will be blamed.
And a southwest plane in the area as well, so they get some blame also.
@@davidpearson3304 Exactly. There was a southwest plane approx 300’ away. Culprit found. Lol
Correct, but Airbus does not manufacture these engines. They are made by Pratt & Whitney. (PW1100G)
@@7.5zach neither does Boeing but it doesn’t effect the headlines. It’s a Boeing jet with engine failure. Versus it’s an Airbus jet with Pratt and Whitney engines that failed. It’s just the filthy lying media doing their thing.
😂 Instead of "engine fails during takeoff" I read "engine falls off" because there's been so much of that kind of thing lately.
I thought the same thing!
Meee three
Me DEI!
same
No there hasn’t. Stop lying.
What is a90f?
A90 is Boston Approach. I assume the F is to denote the Final Approach controller.
Probably a bird strike, it's the #1 reason engines fail on take-off.
The birds wouldn't strike if they got paid a decent wage.
I live outside of Boston, and only flown in or out of Logan 10 times, but I know the tower by sight.
Well well well, another Boeing aircraft
Is what I would say if it were boeing, clearly an Airbus
Dang Boeings are getting ridiculous
WTF is going on with all these airplanes?
These are daily issues that have happened since planes became a thing. They also don’t threaten human safety. Stop being a crybaby worrying about these minor things. The media has just been paying more attention to them. Just like the train derailings from last year (which are still happening by the way).
@@raihothexiv15th37 Working conditions on the railroads are still horrible.
Well done by everyone! Standard quibble though: use international standard phraseology for Heaven's sake!
Boeing is like the mafia.
You might notice this one wasn't a Boeing product.
Here we go again
I don't understand this comment. A quick look at the Aviation Herald shows stuff like this happens on a daily basis. Most you'll never hear about because it's commonplace. On Friday, there were at least 3 such incidents including one covered by VAS.
@@Chris-de2qh correct, it happens routinely so why do you say you don't understand the comment?
I’ll say it again.., I hate BOS and SFO.
Nobody asked you.
I can understand SFO, but why BOS?
Fantastic ATC and flight crews all around. I always like when crew provides fuel in both time and weight... and even better when ATC gets it the first time (and doesn't ask repeatedly).
That final controller is a full on juggler holy
Bet this incident won’t get any media attention. Imagine if this had been a 737
This controller is everything a controller is about. Calm, cool, collected, and his voice does not waiver. Just perfection through and through.
Now that is a well oiled machine right there
This plane buzzed my house. I've lived there for 23 years and had never seen an airliner with that flight path/direction. The running engine was likely at MCT and he was at 1800 feet...low and loud! 1800 feet according to Flight Aware ( I looked up the flight immediately). Turned to my wife and said, bet he has a problem!
My God that controller - absolute legend, the height of professionalism smh.
Approach handled it like a boss! Well done to the controller and all the pilots.
Great airmanship and a benchmark of a controller! Like a clockwork without any flaws. This should be shown all students in aviation business.
It ain’t a Boeing I ain’t going.
Great job on all sides of this. This is what you want to hear from everyone in an event like this! This is a perfect definition of Professionals.
Great approach controller!!
Wow, that controller had his stuff together
Perfect clear communication from ATC, this is how it's done folks
That main controller was right on top of EVERYTHING.
First controller needs to key her mic, before speaking.
She is in training (just my guess) , or very new 🤷♂
I'm surprised they didn't close the runway for a FOD inspection - remember the Concorde crash?
Impressive display of skill and professionalism by all involved.
After all the controller issues lately, this one was awesome. Calm, collective, effective and did not have to sound like an auctioneer . . . bravo to everyone involved here.
Way to go James! Such calmness when absolutely needed!
Holy shit. That controller was amazing!
Gotta love being an airline pilot these days. If you have emergency or just a heated exchange on the radio you will have the whole damn wold critiquing every bit of the event. And god help you if you make any mistakes as you will be ridiculed and judged ad nauseam.
Reminds me of the last video when the tower asked UAL if they wanted to do a tower flyby to check for the tire and the pilot answered “The company prefers we don’t do that”
Do pilots read RUclips comments?
@@marcellkovacs5452Some. And some controllers too!
It happened to the medical profession. Hospitals have the money (business people not doctors) and are never at fault. Doctors are the scapegoats and are criticized through the lens of mid level, non science employes.
@@JimAllen-Personahe said ‘captain’ not ‘company’ I believe
Are you allowed to cover non Boeing incidents?
he should be allowed
WOW! What a stud on the approach control. Amazingly well handled on the ground and the air.
Great job controller(s) and other planes in the area. Right at the beginning, Approach had the many flights arranged and timed perfectly. Then, to have a wrench thrown in the works like that . . . ! Good recovery.
ry nice, moved things out of the way first and then tried to squeeze what was possible (and not the other way around). I have the feelings that the consequence was that all pilots exactly what they had to do
Also. I keep forgetting it's trimmed audio
This is how it gets done.
Military quality ATC. Superior all-pilots responses. Give you true trust in our air traffic.
Civilian ATC >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Military ATC
If it's not Boeing I'm not going 😮
Guess you're in luck then because this was an Airbus
...and then the door falls off 😂
FIRST
Really? You should look again.
That's something children say or claim.
I think I was though
@@VASAviation No doubt, usually with that pinned comment on top.
@@JSFGuy I have advantage.

It's an Airbus.
