The law protects minors for the same reason they can't sign contracts: their consent is not legally binding because they can be easily coerced. The constitution grants us rights against self-incrimination and allows us to be interrogated with our legal council because even full grown adults can easily be coerced to confess to crimes they didn't commit. Some states have Age of Consent and Romeo and Juliet laws that afford some flexibility here. Put it this way, I work in the legal field and I've seen with my own two eyes how judges apply bias in favor of women in most case types. I often see comments that when it's a woman (teacher etc) doing this to young teens/kids that it's not as a big deal vs a man to a young woman etc. I have a good friend who's mom did this exact same thing with one of his high school friends and decades later my friend is still in therapy and newly divorced. The incident might not have been the reason for his recent suicide attempt but I believe it caused the demise of his marriage as his shame and embarrassment lived on for many years and affected his marriage in small nuanced ways. @W 9797 2012 University of Michigan study but there are many. It's not a secret. Put it this way, I work in the legal field and I've seen with my own two eyes how judges apply bias in favor of women in most case types. It doesn't even matter the gender of the judge hearing the case either.

I often see comments that when it's a woman (teacher etc) doing this to young teens/kids that it's not as a big deal vs a man to a young woman etc. I have a good friend who's mom did this exact same thing with one of his high school friends and decades later my friend is still in therapy and newly divorced. The incident might not have been the reason for his recent suicide attempt but I believe it caused the demise of his marriage as his shame and embarrassment lived on for many years and affected his marriage in small nuanced ways. Things certainly stack up.

Weird how the fact that her own son encouraged his underage friend to hit up his mom isn't brought up again. That's something that predators do, using other kids to lure victims. Sincerely doubt this is the only time this woman has done something like this.
@The Elder I'm not as much concerned how she got him to do, but that she got him to do it at all, as that is the behavior of a serial predator. The fact that he also seemed to act like it was a normal thing also seems to point to the idea that she's done this before.

And many guys dont report when women violate them,,, I, myself could have had a half dozen women arrested myself. Im just not that anal about it. Also, Many adults dont report when their kids sexually assaults a sibling. And , a Foster care Lady friend of mine says sexual assaults amongst Foster children happen all the time.
